Despite my having the delay send activated, I just had to recall my first message in 13 years! I use the desktop version, but my colleagues seem to mostly use the online version. Oh well. I tried and now I know how to do it~

Hey Kevin the option I like to use is to uncheck the Send immediatly in Options>Advanced. That way i controll when emails are sent.

Is there a way to recall emails from Office 365 Outlook email? I don't see this on the options.

may I suggest that in the video name you state Which Outlook you are using, Web 'hotmail' or installed app.I figured it out but had to watch a fair amount to figure that out. And for the installed app which version. Msoft confused this with renaming hotmail Outlook.
Still don't get why I see my error AFTER I hit send and not before. Ugh! Wish the recall email feature worked the way we'd need it to. Thanks again for the help! You are awesome! :)
Hi Kevin, I'm facing issue of password prompt pop-up & send/receive error in office 365 outlook.
I tried to reset password rest, checked server settings, port no.s.

Hello Kevin, I'm running for office 365 and cannot see that item about recalling an email can't see that icon you are pointing out. I do not have one note installed as a part of office 365, or at least it's not showing up on outlook have any suggestions on why I'm not being able to see what you're showing. Thank you Michelle

Recalling has always been a problem. Emails are bound to legal terms - If the recipient has read an email, it is now a legal transaction. You cannot "unread" something, therefore recalling or removing "read" emails aren't allowed.
I can't find recall option at all is there any way to add or my outlook version not applicable?

This reminds me of many years ago when one of our Operators (IBM z/OS Mainframe) sent out an email to "All Notes Users" (we used Lotus Notes) which they meant to send only to one of their colleagues. It was simply called "The Piano Man" and was one of the crudest filthiest jokes you could ever imagine. I remember reading it with total disbelief. A few minutes later, another email came out with a sincere apology, and then a few days later, we got an email from the CEO about email policy in the workplace. I was told the Operator got fired. I really feel sorry for that poor bastard, a worst case scenario.
I prefer to use Yahoo than Outlook. But I am actively using Gmail. Why do most Microsoft products have the same interfaces?
Hi kevin. Should a message be recalled after setting with delayed delivery? I mean mistakes found after sending with delayed setting and need to be recalled?
If you're delaying the mail, it should still be sitting in your outbox. No need to recall since it hasn't actually sent yet. You can just go into your outbox, click on the message, and then make your edits.

Make sure to use two factor authentication and a very secure password to avoid this issue in the future. Once they disable it, filling out the forms is likely your best option. You can also try tweeting to @Microsoft365 to see if they can help fast track getting the account back. Good luck!

Can't we recall emails from shared mailbox? I'm trying but the option is greyed out. I'm able to recall from primary mailbox but not from shared one. Could you please share troubleshooting for this one if it's possible. Thank you

My Outlook doest have a menu feature like this.
I have never had success using the recall message option. Never. Yes, I've tried it when sending email to a co-worker down the hall in a company using Exchange Server. Nope, didn't recall the email. It's like the 'close doors' button in an elevator - it's just there to make you feel better.
It worked for me successfully when testing, although there are many caveats. Another one -- your organization can turn on or off the feature in admin settings, which might be why it didn't work for you...
@@KevinStratvert I wrote it off to IT not having it set to work, which leads to another issue - in these days the Outlook client should be smart enough to query the Exchange Server and at least grey-out options that have been disabled. I'm going to hold my breath until they do it!
Brother after spraying a laptop glass cleaner it is showing blue at the edge please help from yesterday can it be recovered please it is my only laptop please 🙏
I'd avoid using glass cleaner moving forward. Glass cleaner has ammonium hydroxide, which interacts poorly with computer screens. Not sure there is any way to reverse. Best way to clean is to use a moist cotton shirt to clean off grime.

@@Super1234jd my platform is different. My managers who have used outlook for years are not happy with 365 for several reasons and not having the recalling of the emails is just one part. Many want to go back to the regular Outlook.
