Thank you very much for the very detailed script! I failed twice with this build because of bad luck, and then passed in the first try after replacing beast eye with safeguard. Here is a slight improvement for unlucky guy like me. For turn 4, it would be better to slash until 3 press turns remain. Then summon Demi-fiend, chaotic will, and then MC does the last slash. The result is the same, but In this case it would be ok to miss the last slash. Of course it does not matter if one chooses safeguard.
When I was following this script on normal with 290 strength I realized that freikugel ex can be fired multiple times with omnipotent succession, and on turn 4 satan's hp bar turned red. My strength might have been a little to high for the strategy in the video.
Thanks very much! I was looking for a guide with a format like this. I started another new game plus because after trying a lot I thought I just maybe couldn't beat him on my current playthrough. I might go back and try this.
I did it! Though for some reason when Satan summoned demons a second time he didn't summon Arahabaki and Ganesha, it was Fafnir, Sarasvati and Yatagarasu. This happened on both attempts so I don't know what was going on there. I still got through it though. Thanks so much to you and the person who came up with this strat!
Incredibly well done! Good to see someone cook with succession and charge! Figment slash was a great choice for the skill to spam for it! Usually people just do this for OTKs so it's awesome to see it be the main source of damage because, just, WOW, is it fucking strong. The set up to bring party members back after performing the combo would have thrown me off hard, so glad to see you master that flawlessly!
Also man i notice your only videos are vengeance so far, and i feel you i recorded a couple battles and was thinking of uploading them too. I also love using omnipotent succession and i even realized it was a charge skill because i have overwrote the standard charge effect with succession before (much to my dismay) but it had never occurred to me to use the magatsuhi charge skill to go absolutely ham on him. You are a blessing and i have subscribed
safeguard on mc is borderline useless since satan is not a boss that dodges very much. the difference between beast eye and not having beast eye is around a 10% hitchance for figment slash builds, which is quite massive. safeguard prevents only the worst case scenarios, meanwhile beast eye is the more consistent option. if you miss your first hit on a beast eye build though then you might want to throw out your controller though. from my own testing, using a lvl 99 dagda and a lvl 99 odin, where dagda doesnt have beast eye but odin does - odin only missed twice in about 40+ figment slashes but dagda missed 5+ times in 40+ figment slashes. I hope agility isnt a factor because otherwise only the devs know how the hitchances are affected exactly.
I think you're right about beast eye. I put all the skills on MC before I did any testing and the strategy worked well enough that I didn't have to change it. That said it's hard to say anything definitive without any the hit rates since missing would be very bad without safeguard but you miss less with beast eye, though only the first hit of succession counts for press turn generation. Agility does affect hit but I don't know to what extent. It's difficult to say anything definitive about strength vs agility without the exact numbers but I suspect higher damage outweighs higher hit rates to the point where going max strength is more reliable. The current setup is still quite reliable though, I never failed to kill Satan in testing.
Agility is a factor. A bit a wonky one. But at least in godborn it was noticeable when I started hunting miitamas fresh out with my fresh lvl 150 miitama killers. They all even had Dragon Eye. But despite Dragon eye, they did often miss the miitamas with yabusame shot, when they had approx 200 agility in the beginning. I think once I got them up to 500 agility, they stopped missing with yabusame shot entirely.
@@KoriKitsune i figured that would be the case but wasnt sure if the stats or levels are more important in vengeance. that might mean you want to have a higher agility stat than the enemy for optimal hit rates. maybe you just need one more agility than the enemy for maximum hit rate? I know that at least with regular attacks you wouldnt miss satan if your agility was slightly higher than satans. but yeah, missing yabusame shots on godborn sounds like a nightmare lmao
@@bambu7031 It was even funkier against godborn satan on hard difficulty, when recalcitrant execution couldnt crit satan despite all the crit buffs from various sources lol. But then Satan on godborn probs has 999 luck and my masakado had 790-ish at that time. So luck stat is pretty noticeable in godborn too.
this should be possible with murakumo and stacking omagatoki critical+omnipotent succession and getting a lot of turns by using luminescent mirage and the ability to counter and add a press turn with mc
I pulled this off (NORMAL DIFFICULTY) with only Sakuya, Beelzebul, Zeus (and Yoshitsune. ) It's perfectly doable (there could be some RNG). You can use Odin or others to use Charge Magatsuhi skill.
Yoshi's skill only activates when he takes an action that costs at least 2 press turns (missing, null, drain repel) and it doesn't proc if he has safeguard. That's the only reason I can think of as to why it wouldn't work, it should activate as long as you hit into any immunity.
Not sure if you explain it in the description (haven’t read yet) but how are you able to keep Succession active for the entire fight? Edit: upon further research, it’s Omogatoki Charge
Hey, I don't know why, but Satan always summon Fafnir, Sarasvati and Yatagarasu after turn 5. This kinda ruin the strategy. What am I doing wrong? He should summon Arahabaki and Girimehkala Edit: After some tests, it's probably because Satan's Life after first Omnipotent Succession (Turn 4)
I use omnipotent succession on turn 1 and then I use omagatoki:charge later. Omnipotent succession is considered a charge status and they don't expire when under the effect of omagatoki:charge. I boost the hit rate of figment slash with the skill dragon eye and max buffs/debuffs. My character also has over 110 agility.
