- Part one of my visit to Finland!
On the 25th of March 2023, me and my friends went on a cruise to Finland! While there, we decided to meet up with a friend and see his place. We played pinball, guitar and had the most amazing burgers in Helsinki! Also mild alcohol usage is shown in this video.
This is a light-hearted vlog with humor, cool scenery, and good vibes! This video is mostly in English, and has subtitles in English.

I've been many times on that ship but the one that has stuck in my memory was in 1995. It was the spring when my junior high school ended. In Finland it's common (or at least it was) to go for a cruise with your class after 9th grade. So much nice memories from that trip, even when it's almost 30 years ago.

Hello Cassie I went on that ship in1999 with a load of computers from Scotland To Helsinki I was driving a 420 volvo xl globetrotter I am pleased to see the ship still in good order thanks for making this video regards John from England

Coolt att siljabåtarna med stora promenaden i mitten är konceptet som de stora kryssningsfartygen i Karibien använder idag. Men många av dem byggs ju i Finland också ! =)

Been to Helsinki 3 times in the 90's. First time when they said we had to get out of the ship we wasn't in Helsinki we where back in Stockholm. I think we had a little party on the trip. Second time I actually remember it was a mast and some houses there. Third time we got of the ship and went to a coffee shop but no sightseeing because it was minus 17 and a storm.
Awesome video Cassie! Silja Symphony was one of the ships and second Silija ship to respond to the Estonia in 1994 when she sank! Lovely ship! Symphony didn't enter service until 1991 as Wartsila the builder went bankrupt. Poor Eric.
Yeah I recently listened on the video with the recorded calls from that awful day. It was very powerful, and I got shivers when I heard the calls from the captain at Symphony. I guess because it feels so much more "close to home" now when I recently was on this ship.
And I agree, the ship is very pretty ✨

I really do like scandinavian people and all the countries in there! Sweden is so nice country to visit. But You have to take care about immigrants making problems situation not to let them ruin Your lovely country! Scandinavians are talking a very good english but this small touch of accent is also very nice! From Estonia to Sweden and vice versa I have made a tens of times by ship. I have allways enjoyed these! So relaxing! And the Swedish bufee! WOW! All You can eat best food!! Amazing! I am a quite bad sleeper - it is very difficult to get to sleep and I wake up many times normally. On the ships I do sleep as a kid! Ship travel from Estonia to Finland and opposite is normally to short to relax. Years ago when there where Autoexpress and some other fast boats - it was great fun to get over the sea 80km with an half an hour May be I do remember the time wrong but they where damn fast! I do like Sierra Tequila as well. I like it as it is with salt and lemon and nothing else! It is sweet strong drink. Helsinki is definatelly very beatyful! About the roads: is there a change that some other country than Finland has better roads in the world??? And what do I love about scandinavian people - they do not where shoes inside the rooms! Your Finish friends music room is impressive! Best regards from Estonia!

for traveling on ferries or cruise liners take ginger biscuits or crystalized ginger take that before getting on and also you can get a wrist band for motion sickness my wife uses it all the time

Ja, det var riktigt najs! Oftast hinner man inte se så mycket mer än hamnen och det som finns i närheten, så det var kul att göra lite "mer" på resan 🤩

The best ferry experience is Helsinki-Tallinn by far. its way crazier, more finns go to Estonia on ferries than Sweden. Estonia is actually the #1 travel destination for finns. theres more night life and drunk people etc. :D its fun.

Everytime I go to stockholm with silja line i always go to ICA the store and back to the ship
But when I go with viking line I always end up going further more into the city, i don't know what it is haha

Greetings from Scotland! That was a very impressive ship! What always impressed me most about Scandinavia is that everything is super clean! As it should be, not like the UK! Yeah, you gotta watch those skinny "suck pipes" with a thick milkshake, they can cause brain damage from making you suck too hard! 😂😂 I'll never think of a drinking straw as a straw ever again - it will be a suck pipe from now on! 😂😂

The prices for things are so high now that many from Finland are traveling to Sweden to buy things as they do in Tallinn Estonia. But Latvia is the best price for alcohol. Many take their cars to Tallinn on the ferry and then drive to the border in Latvia and stock up for the year.

Jag var på samma skepp för ungefär 12år sedan. Jag åkte från Stockholm till Helsingfors, och sedan så till Tallinn Estland. Finns det fortfarande stardust natt Klubb på topp våningen?

Those Silja Serenade and Silja Symphony are quit old, but TallinkSilja need to keep, because those type boat with promenade are not allowed anymore bild. And there is spesific atmosphere in those ship.

@@TruckerCassie because those promenade are bad when boat is fire. Long promenade fire can proceed very fast from other side to. otherside. It is me difficult to explain in english because i do not speak it very well as I'm finnish

@@MersuharrastajaInteresting, as promenades are built all time on Royal Carribbean ships etc. Actually Silja Serenade and Symphony were the inspiration for building promenades to the worlds largest cruise ships, most of them built in Finland. As you know😊

My daughter does not take avocado well either - don't know what it is but gives her a bad tummy. Now that pitch black outside would scare the hell out of me knowing I was on the water. You guys English puts me to shame - as a nation in the UK we are dismal at speaking another language, I try my best at Spanish but just 2 or 4 weeks a year are not enough as you get older.
