I love watching the F1 safety car, a very fast, and probably not even close to stock Mercedes, corning at it's limit, leaning over and sliding, while a pack of F1 cars behind it are swerving around trying to heat up their tires because they are going too slow.
A pro racing driver in a high powered car becomes that annoying 70 year old woman in a Vauxhall Agila 1.2 slowing to 30 mph every time the road slightly curves.
I'm almost in love with her just over how playfully joyful she was at experiencing the sound of that car overtaking her. Adorable! She must be such a fun lady.

Adam Hosein He actually took part in a couple of Grands Prix back in 1980,Belgium and Monaco. He was a professional racing driver for many years,touring cars,Le Mans etc.He's a much better driver than Richard Hammond.

It's good to see the old v10's!! They were hard to drive and the power was immense! I love how Vicky comments on the sound. She wouldn't make that comment with a modern f1 car.

The outcome isn't the point. We wanted to see how badly the BMW got thrashed by the F1 car - how much quicker a lap the F1 car is, how much faster in a straight line, how much better in corners. I like Top Gear but it could never have given us that - it would have ended with something exploding, so nobody's real questions would be answered. There is little real knowledge to be found in Top Gear.

No street car will EVER beat an f1 car over a lap. the f1 is best at cornering. I highly doubt that will accelerate fater from 0-250kmh too. Maybe at top speed ,az f1 tops out around 22O mph ...no street ,tuned or not car ,no bike or no motogp bike will ever pass thes f1. specially these 2003-4 f1 car with super sticky michelin tires .these cars where mindblowing fast with 3-4 G lateral accelration ...in other words,when your GT-r corners at 160 kmh this f1 will corner at 250 kmh.there`s no competition.

Tiff Needell did well in Brtish F3 and did two F1 GPs with Ensign in 1980 but never finished. But he achieved 3rd place in Le Mans 1990. Vicki Butler-Henderson did carting when she was kid. She has racing licence.

I thought of buying one but finding one that has low miles is a pain in the arse. And the car's 7SPD sequential is fine I m fine with the glitch and stuff, but if the transmission lump fail and it will your transmission will have a huge problem. Replacing it is expensive might wanna get the extended warranty ready. And the engine will fail around 100K miles on the motor, the only way to stop that is to replaced the ROD bearings before they cause you trouble. They will fail around 100K miles and causes catastrophic engine damage
Patrick Benoit and I love that car.I hate BMWs I hate their interior I hate that they are everywhere .but the V10!!!!!!.I find a few used in CA around 14-20K miles on the clock, and they cost around 40k-55k depends on the car. and try to find the ones that are 09 or 10 models since they have the new interface its much easier to use(still shit, but way better). But that V10 tho....the 8250 RPM V10.. is just amazing. its faster then the current generation M5 on lots of tracks because of the weight. The extended warranty would be much cheaper on the 09/10 models, and remember to change the clutch to heavy duty ones, its gonna hurt your transmission a lot if you are stuck in traffic. But if you go with the manual version its not as fast :D your choice.
