Very nice intro. I’m 77, widowed for the second time 2 1/2 years ago.
    Family scattered throughout the country.
I’m having a wonderful Christmas Day with my two small rescue dogs.
I take comfort in memories and inspirational people like yourself on the Internet.
My little sister (27) passed on Thanksgiving Eve in 1980, the holidays have never been the same.
    Peace and Love,
    Alan

Its not always the most favorite time for alot of people
I know it hasn't been a good time for me, but I spent the day with family today and it was really nice and pleasant
Hopefully you had a wonderful day
      Thank you

Very nice Intro Dr Robert, Lost my sweetheart late December 2015 but I have all of you guy`s & gals video`s to keep me sane. I was about to grab my D.P made in japan before this video and no luck finding it on vinyl so it must be on another format somewhere. Merry X-Mas to you and yours Robert and in the meantime I`ll play some Dr Hook. 🎅🎄🔔

Hello Robert! Enjoyed your video! It constantly amazes me as to how people's taste varies from everyone elses- of course only to be expected given the amount of choice out there. Any I must checkout some of your selections! Gracious of you to mention Pat's channel. Nice one. Have a great new year Robert- many thanks. Kevin.

@alisonoconnor8661 thank you so much Kevin. I love that people have so many different likes on music. That's what makes it interesting. Also, it's made me discover so many new bands.
You both have great tastes in your choices
Thank you and have a Very Happy New Year 😊

Hey Robert. I knew Deep Purple would be at the top. One of my faves as well. I didn’t know about the Springsteen album. Love his live stuff so took the plunge and ordered it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hi Robert!!! Nice response to Glen's video..... and yeah, Deep Puple's has to be your favorite one (shocking surprise, lol.....) and let's hope you can add a gatefold pressing to the collection. Anyhow, it's also cool to see you have added to the list some newer releases and even bands like King Gizzard or that Simple Minds album. cheers and be well

Very Nice! Sometimes a live recording takes things to a whole new level such as "Frampton Comes Alive" or "Foghat Live" to mention a couple well known ones but there are many great live albums. A few other of my favs:
Neil Young & Crazy Horse -"Live Rust"
    Pink Floyd - "Pulse"
    Genesis -"Seconds Out"
Ted Nugent - "Double Live Gonzo"
    Eagles - "Hell Freezes Over"
The Kinks - "One For The Road"
REO Speedwagon - "You Get What You Play For"
The J. Geils Band - "Live-Blow Your Face Out"

I have all of those. Nothing better than live albums. You get to hear just how good the band is
      Happy New Year 🥳

Big World is a good choice - a live album with all new songs. Simple Minds looks great. Made In Japan is Deep Purples' finest moment.

I'm a huge fan of live albums. It's really hard for me to mention a live album that I really don't like. But I can mention my top three favorites for sure (in no particular order): Kiss' "Alive!", Thin Lizzy's "Live and Dangerous" and Pat Travers Band's "Go For What You Know" (a criminally underrated live album, I must say).
After those three, it's hard for me to pick a favorite. Most likely I'd put Deep Purple's "Made in Japan" and Iron Maiden's "Live After Death" immediately below the first three, but still a difficult choice.

I was going to show maiden' live . Have it, love it. Don't have any Kiss, but Thin Lizzys L&D is awesome
You've got great taste in live albums my friend

@@RobertsOnMyTurntable I know that Kiss has a lot of detractors because they are seen as a gimmick band and because they stopped being a "band" and became a "brand", but you should give a try to "Alive!". They were hungry musicians back then, and actually that's the album that changed their fortunes. It's raw (in spite of the many studio fixes), exciting and powerful. I'd actually put it at the #1 spot in my personal list, not because it's better than the other two, but because it's the first one I heard among those three and, as I always say when I mention this album, words aren't enough to describe what I felt the first time I heard it. It made my jaw drop. I was a young teenager back then, but the excitement and enthusiasm about this album haven't dimmed in the very least in more than four decades.

@NothingLikeVinyl I had 'Alive' back when I was younger, and I enjoyed it. They are just a band that never grew on me
I know there are tons of fans out there , you being one of them, and that's awesome
      I remember the cool cover
Had a chance to see them on Toronto when I was a teenager, but i couldn't get off work
Thank you for the awesome comment
