My XMen fix comes from playing Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection, I don't WASTE any money on Disney Comics XMen, XMen was and will always be a 90s comic fix.
@@incubustimelord5947 That series wasn't a total "Crisis on Infinite Earths" reboot. "Secret Wars" was more like "The New 52" partial reboot, only more lazy.
The X-Men were a team of outcasts that protected a world that feared and hated them. They didn't let peoples feelings stop them from doing what was right, they stood up to their own kind and fought for it, because they were still part of humanity despite their differences. Over the years they just became more isolationist and aggressive to the world outside, first setting up their own island, then country. Writers embraced Magneto and abandoned Professor X's dream of unity. Almost every decent villain has attempted to be redeemed. Magneto stopped being a cautionary tale about letting your hate turn you into what you hated, Juggernaut who would pull down skyscrapers and smash through buildings instead of walking around, Mystique who used and turned on her own family, even genocidal despots like Apocalypse had a good clone. It feels like the idea of them being heroes, despite being outsiders (which could represent anyone that felt like they didn't fit in), was replaced with people that had let their differences turn them bitter and cut themselves off from people that didn't embrace them. I know it might be blasphemy, but since Morrisons run, they just haven't felt right to me.
X-Men and Marvel as a whole is becoming like Star Wars, a dead brand. As long as you still got the elements in there that's been screwing up the industry in the first place, my interest is very low.
They have just completely ruined Professor X. I liked when he was more in a gray area but this bs when Magneto was right and Charles is a mass murderer is terrible
There's no returning Charles to the status quo. The people in charge of Marvel right now are anti-patriarchy and Charles is the ultimate patriarch of the X-Men. You can't have a character that's like a father figure to anyone. Even Wolverine's been killed and had his mantle handed over to Laura. Personally, I stopped caring about X-Men after Schism.
Why isn't Kitty Pride, Tony Stark, and the Silent Council in prison? They poisoned people across the world, Tony Stark, and Kitty Pride deliberately murdered government agents. The X-Men are the villains in the Krakoan Age.
I am out on any X-Men title until they start making actual stories (and actual editors who can do that job) and no way am I buying any crossover event.
Crossovers are killing the big two and comic films, no build up and no real consequences, just cash grabs, variant mini posters push and speculators keeping the clown show running. I will keep saving dough and spending on stuff I find fun.
Every X-Men committed crimes and killed people during Krakoa. They are all hypocrites but so are their writers and editorial is only making things worse.
It’s not about conning readers into buying the additional X-Titles they’re not buying, it’s about forcing retailers to order more copies of those superfluous titles in order to sell a complete story and slow their cancellation. Retailers that now know what ratio of copies of NYX, Exceptional X-Men and etc sell to X-Men and Uncanny X-Men can’t drop their numbers while the b-list and c-list titles are an extension of the a-list books.
I would be surprised if they even try to salvage Prof. X, I think they simply hate the concept of a mentor, so Prof. X will rarely be more than a memberberry.

Just wanted to throw this out there: I really do appreciate your insight on books and how up to date you are with news from publishers. So I’m not saying this to be critical, but it seems like you genuinely dislike everything marvel or dc puts out. Are their any books from major publishers that you feel positive about?
here they go again smh -im telling yah they didn't like the coverage by the TC team on this run in particular - they rebooted this series and they are slowly starting the Circus of Crime trick bags again LOL
Ok I have a few problems with what is said here. First off this is NOT a Mega-Crossover. Even by Marvel's own standards this is not a Mega-Crossover. An Eight issue crossovers is STANDARD in the history of publishing X-Men. Obviously nobody here wants to reference Fall of the Mutants, Inferno, X-Tinction Agenda, X-Cutioner's Song and a few others I am leaving out here. All of which were 9 to 12 issues long crossing over between the then published X-Titles. So this is actually normal for a X-Event. So 8 issues is incredibly reasonable for a X line event. This is in no way getting in the way of something long term like DC did with Knight Terrors which was stupid. We are talking basically something that is over in a month and involves one issue per title. Secondly we have NO IDEA if we are rehashing anything at all. That is just pure speculation here. To be blunt EVERYTHING is a rehash of a rehash as every story has been told in human history. So by that account why do we even bothering publishing anything new at all as I have said, its all been done before already. Third this is not going to upset any X-Fans simply because its a simple 8 issue story. Unless it really is bad, and I grant you it could be, most will probably grab the extra issue or issues for it, read it, and judge whether it was good, bad, or indifferent. Yes you can take issue with SOME of the talent on some books, and yes you can take issue with Marvel looking to get a sales bump on some of the lower selling ones probably before their cancelation. But you can not, if you know the publishing history of the X-Titles, complain that this is out of the ordinary for what has been done in the past. By the way definitely pick up Green Lantern/Green Arrow, Freddie The Fix, Ultimate Spider-Man, New Gods, Captain America, and GI Joe this week....best of week. GI Joe #2 was so good.
X of swords >>> raid on watever I highly doubt any stories from the 90s was in the krokoa era the took and built off concepts and loose ends from the 90s . Sooooo many outs….
@@ComicBookMuscle Sadly, Marvel Comics is too cowardly to take any of them.
@@spinningtornado4543Agreed. No one wants to do the heavy lifting. They’re just spec writing for Disney studios in hopes a concept might be viable for film, tv or animation.
It’s painfully obvious when you read Psylocke, Phoenix, Storm, X-23…ugh. I just wish they took the time to write something meaningful.
@@ComicBookMuscle Marvel really killed their golden goose by keeping Krakoa canon because, under any other circumstance, I would have at least given those solos a try since they feature some of my favourite X-Men characters. Their Krakoa iteration erased any love or interest I had towards them for good.
@@ComicBookMuscle Mind control, reality manipulation or something like that. Any explanation to justify so many X-Men being writing out your characters would make the things better at this point.
Mega Crossovers should be planned to come at a time that won't harm other stories... At least this time there's nothing significant to get in the way hahahah... I don't know if this is a happy laugh or a sad laugh.
All these fkn spoilers!!! Can we at least wait until the previous books are released ?!!!
They can't wait because most of these books will get cancelled by then.
Lazy editorial, vacuous writing and of course a big ol cash grab! They’re clueless! Round boy Brevoort is doing exactly what he did for the Avengers a fat zero which is not a surprise to me because I gave up on this franchise awhile back Unreadable X-men RIP🙏
I feel that X factor has been the easiest book to read, as there has been a few books I've stopped reading half way through.
There's not been enough world building in X-Men. Everything is just crammed and nothing is developed enough to get me excited. First crossover should've been left for a few years and have a story develop into a crossover.
This would require the books to last long enough (more than a year) to build anything up.
Marvel knows they won't.
Sounds beyond BORING....🥱🥱🥱
No thank you.
Just wanted to throw this out there:
I really do appreciate your insight on books and how up to date you are with news from publishers. So I’m not saying this to be critical, but it seems like you genuinely dislike everything marvel or dc puts out. Are their any books from major publishers that you feel positive about?
He releases a weekly comicbook recommendation video with both his topic indie and major publishers' picks.
And just like Magento Xavier will be forgiven
You can say whatever you want, but money says otherwise.
here they go again smh -im telling yah they didn't like the coverage by the TC team on this run in particular - they rebooted this series and they are slowly starting the Circus of Crime trick bags again LOL
X of swords >>> raid on watever
I highly doubt any stories from the 90s was in the krokoa era the took and built off concepts and loose ends from the 90s . There was nothing in Krokoa era the indicated any hunt for Xavier. Except when him and phantomex swap bodies. Like there’s not even any cool giant size solo issues in this new vol
Krakoa sucked.Ruined the characters and the entire brand. No more heroic X-Men.
@@EvandroACruz oh god this same crap 🙄🙄🙄 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️So let me get this straight-the mutant population has endured more than five massacres, barely has any form of equality, was almost wiped out by the Eternals, and constantly faces new Sentinels being built to hunt them down. And yet, they’re just supposed to go back to being ‘heroes,’ saving kittens from trees and helping old ladies cross the street? Where was everyone else when the Morlocks were being slaughtered in New York City, and only Thor stepped up to help the X-Men? What are you really trying to say here?
@@AtmosphereIVXX X-Men are a superhero team not a race. These are the Inhumans. You never understand the original concept of them back to 1963.
@@EvandroACruz This man really said the X-Men are superheroes, not a race? Completely missing the point. The X-Men aren’t just superheroes-they represent an entire race of people fighting for survival and equality in a world that hates and fears them. What does the 1963 concept have to do with the current reality? Mutants have evolved beyond just being ‘superheroes.’ Calling them ‘just superheroes’ completely ignores the systemic oppression, massacres, and near-extinction they’ve endured. They’re not putting on capes for glory; they’re fighting to exist in a world that constantly tries to wipe them out. That’s the whole point.”

With the exceptions of X-Force, (which started well but is fast running out of inspiration,) and Simone's Uncanny X-Men, (which is good,) all the current X-tittles are complete and utter garbage.
Crossovers , tie-ins and overblown epics, (to often anything but epic,) designed to market failing tittles have long been a major bane of the comic industry.
They're killing this before it's even been born.
Krakoa X-Men was peak X-Men. It's what brought me back to comic books after a 7 year hiatus. Right now we are for sure coming down off of that. But maybe this will turn things around. So I am interested. Great video!
Krakoa ruined the franchise. All they are killers now. Krakoa was a shitty fanfic for non X-Men fans only.
As someone who didn't touch the krakoa era from the ashes is pretty good
What have you been reading?
@spinningtornado4543 mhm wolverine vol 8
Phoenix
Although atrocious start X-Men: is peaking up really good
Uncanny X-Men: is the best one out of the main books
Storm: issss I'll see after issue 4
X-force: is pretty good I'd say it has some of the best action out of the bunch
Exceptional X-Men: I wanna see what they do with the white queen otherwise the book is a*s
Psylocke: had a strong star might be my favorite aside from all those they/them stuff
