Good video ! Fascinating fish-we have them in a few of the lakes here in North Wales. They seem to behave differently from valley to valley just a few miles apart-one lake produces to trolling and occasionally to fly; a second lake where I've fished many a time I can't ever remember catching one-they seem to stay very deep there. One local lake where they used to be fished commercially started to produce really big ones- one of my sons lost one at the boat which must have been going on 2 pounds; turned out Welsh water were discharging sewerage for years which had made the lake too nitrogenous- that's sorted now but now we have perch in the place- don't know what effect that will have but it's not likely to be good I guess.
Loving your vids and the enthusiasm for fishing for a variety of species big and small I am planning a trip to the big Loch next week for the 1st time in 20 odd years We had lots of 20 plus pike from paddy's pit but that is now gone 😢and the pits where they now chase a small white ball some really big perch Was only going to bring the 1 rod and travel light with lures but watching this vid and a few others makes me want to bring my feeder rod and rod pod Only got 4 days away from work and was planning a revisit walk up Ben Lomond and another Munro in the area 🤔
Hi, angling beginner here.. could I ask what weight feeder you’ve been using and choice of hook size you used? Did you just chuck the feeder as far and deep as you could? Great video by the way. Music gave it a great feel 😁
Hey, thanks mate. Feeders I'm sure were 40 or 50 grams. Hooks size 16 for maggots and a size 12 worm hook. And yes a good chuck but try to be accurate each time. 🎩👌
Well i dinnie think it wis Loch Earn, Lubnaig, Lubhair, Dochart could be the tap end of Loch Voil has me stumped and wan of them Broonies I thot I saw a fin missing could be a stocked Loch. hell I'm clutching at straws but its not often am stumped on fishing locations North of Glasgow and Stirling. lol
