- Join me as a Yu-Gi-Oh! Player 14 year out of practice rejoins the duelling scene on Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Master Duel. With the following stipulations about our deck.
No starter deck.
All cards used in the deck are packed or rewarded.
A win in a duel rewards 1 Master Deck.
A win in a duel via opponent disconnect or a going up a tier rewards Legacy Packs.
Watch us progress up ranked... or more likely... fail to do so.

small tip: Make sure you set your traps in Main Phase 2. As there can be some interactions that could potentially make your set cards get destroyed before the Battle Phase (unless it's the first turn)
Lol it's one of the first tips in the tutorial.
This was even more important back in 2014 when yugiboomer last played yugioh.
I would be cool to see you do a series alongside this one where you don’t just limit yourself to master packs, since you’re returning from ages ago it would be good for you to try out some more serious decks on a second account.
Yugiboomer finally met their first "click buttons Yep" type of player.
Ritual cards being specific to particular monsters doesn't have to do with archetypes.
You get swords as a reward for doing a challenge early on.
At 35:15 you could have summoned the Mecha-Phantom Beast and won, since he gets up to exactly 2.500 atk if you tribute the token he summons for free.
I get that it‘s easier to point it out in hindsight than actually playing with cards you‘re not familiar yet, I just meant it as advice for the future.

I'm here to watch your journey. I like maso runs and i like to watch new/returning players play the game.
When I first started playing Master Duel I was using a Blue-Eyes deck cobbled together from the structure decks. I was able to get to silver rank with it but had many losses to more powerful Meta decks. Now I have a Branded Despia deck with a much higher win rate. It sucks losing to Meta decks but it's very rewarding once you learn to pilot them and combo off on your opponent.
Is there a full version to the intro? Keep up the awesome work

umm yeah i would say you can use the lvl up rewards. But most cards u will obtain there are really trashy

Just look at your opponent's extra deck: If it's not 15 it's a a 'real' deck.
15:09 here you see he has only 2-5 cards in it, so he is either new or doing a challange like you are
If you see snake-eyes. Just give up, it's the best deck At this moment

I highly suggest that you STOP buying the master packs and focus on structure decks instead choose one and buy 3 of it.
as a new/returning player those decks will help you so much on understanding the game and will give a couple more wins. Welcome back to the game
I do have rules for this series about getting cards/packs in the description. So crafting, boxes, structure decks etc. are out of the question.
