I am an Indigenous Australian from around Humpty Doo. I was born and bred around there. We are very traditional there. We still practice our ceremonies there. We have lived there for over 60,000 years. I think I know what this is. It takes our version of a "shaman" to cast this out it is something that is not a ghost but a powerful malicious spirit, usually tied to a location that is a ceremony ground or forbidden sacred space.
I am indigenous and i was born and raised in Darwin too and my family had a block in Humpty Doo and we see a figure walking up the driveway and straight into a solid brick wall darwin is cool we have a lot of local story's and hotspots for activitie
I was curious as to why the residents of the house didn't talk to the local Aborigines and ask them to cleanse the house. Might have had more luck with that.

I'm indigenous too, raised in Darwin, had an expirience like this at a mates place in Humpty Doo (some rocks thrown at us late at night), went to see the elders for advice. Was also too scared to go towards East Point because of Poiciana Woman

While I love the spirit of this comment, it also cracks me up, knowing the actual reason it was originally created - "Hurley and Chen said that the original idea for TH-cam was a video version of an online dating service and had been influenced by the website Hot or Not. They created posts on Craigslist asking attractive women to upload videos of themselves to TH-cam in exchange for a $100 reward."
I know a channel has reached my All Time Favourites when I see a new video in my subscription box, and save it for the perfect time. So, looking forward to watching this at bedtime tonight! Thanks, Tape Library.
I think having a town called Humpty Doo is at least in the same ballpark as the most Australian thing as the nickname given to poltergeists but both are endearing.
Just because a story is lesser known does not mean it is less interesting; as this episode absolutely proves. As always, a great story, awesome presentation and excellent video. Keep them coming my friend! Your audience greatly appreciates them and will continue to grow! Once again,, we thank you.
I enjoyed this video very much! I'd never heard of this poltergeist case before, and I like the way you presented it. I've been getting a real kick out of watching both the better-known and the lesser-known cases you present, and I hope you continue doing it.
This was very cool! Thank you. Love this stuff. Some people seem to become the focus of this type of haunting, with hidden telekinetic ability. Usually young, usually female. Poltergeists are fascinating.
You know what? Where is the science to back that up? The lack of evidence for telekinesis is as lacking as that for ghosts. What if it’s something interdimentinal that doesn’t have to play by the rules?
Check out the Guyra incident from 1921. Guyra is in New Sourh Wales Australia. There was never an explanation in Guyra, but the same weird things such as a rain of rocks.

I don't mind hearing stories I've heard before because each presenter tends to bring something new or a different perspective to the tale, but I absolutely LOVE stuff that is new to me. I tend to have you in the background whilst I'm knitting.
Just keep doing what you find interesting. It shows in the quality of your content. Really enjoy the details you include and your take on the events. You don't sensationalise and try to cover all angles. Great work.
I'm from Australia and when this story first came out, everybody was obsessed with it. Plenty of sceptics tried to debunk it but they didn't have much success.
Love it!! We hear about Amityville, the Winchester House, The Sally House, etc. so much. It's great to hear about hauntings in places that aren't talked about that much.
I think I want to try and keep it a mixture. Sallie house is a good example of what I was talking about, it's a topic that has been covered a lot but is somehow the most popular video on my channel by a long way
Yes, please, more obscure and unknown cases! I have heard and seen a lot in my 60+ years and am tired of the same old stories. Your scripts and delivery are very well done. 🤩
I don't usually comment, but I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely LOVE channels that cover the more obscure stuff that's hidden among the popular stories. I really look forward to seeing your new material, it’s well done and researched. When you can’t find specific information you let your audience know and go with either the main story or legend or when you introduce your own theories on the story you make sure we know it’s just your opinion and shouldn’t be accepted as fact. I really enjoy the stuff from all around the world. Keep up the good work!
Definitely keep posting about the lesser known stories. They are so much better than the better ones in a lot of ways. Keep up the great work, and thank you for being such a great content creator!
Loved this episode! I'm glad you're seeking out the lesser-known but no less compelling casees, and hope you continue. It's true i get weary of hearing the same cases rehashed over and over again.
Honestly I like the way you research and narrate things on your voice/pace/point of view, so it's more about the channel and the persona than the subject. I like watching both new stories and having a different take on old ones. I guess part of the enthusiasm in watching many videos about the same subject is to compare data to see how consistent the tale is told thru different points of view of different content creators, so I can have me own conclusion coming from different sources not be biased from a single frame. I don't know if it matters into your poll but I'm a full skeptic myself, yet I love to imagine the supernatural is just around the corner to prove me wrong in hope that reality is more interesting than the dull one i live in daily. Cheers from Brazil!
It's strange how similar these poltergeist cases are, even down to the way they play out. They always end with some female, reportedly caught faking it, tossing an object offscreen, and then the media moving on. Why does that always seem to happen, like, without fail? You'll have months of phenomena no one can explain, and then someone gets "caught" faking it. It's weird.
@TheTapeLibrary I'm not even talking about only the cases you cover. Other channels and stories I've read, too. The phenomenon of "for months we can't figure this out what's going on" and then "we caught one woman faking it, let's all get outta town"; it seems just as common as.... it being really hard to exercise poltergeist cases, or the fact that they often surround a teenager, or the fact that they eventually fade over time. Look into it. Poltergeist cases have many strange similarities that don't appear in other types of hauntings. I'm just pointing this out as another strange pattern.
At this point I hit the like button before the dang video even starts. Always a banger, thankyou for getting me through work with a case full of the spooks.
Another winner! These under examined stories are ones that actually get me excited. Especially when they’re experienced by so many people. You have a knack to make all stories incredible so that helps as well.
Hello, somewhat new subscriber here :) I really enjoy cases i personally haven't heard about, but because your videos are so well researched, well written and presented, i don't mind if the content is about well known cases. I enjoy all your videos, especially because you have no loud / annoying background music and a calm voice 👌So thank you for making awesome content 😊
G'day from Down Under! Thank you for looking into this relatively unheard of tale, something I stumbled across on TH-cam looking into paranormal stuff on home shores. I didn't know half the detail you went into, however, and really enjoyed hearing the latter half of the story as it was all totally new to me! Keep up the great work, cheers from Melbourne, Australia 😊
This was a very interesting case! To me, a case feels a lot more believable where there isn't a huge ending with a big showdown. The residents of the house choosing to move makes complete sense. Thank you for introducing us to this!!
I've heard this story a number of times here in Australia. It's still seen as a baffling incident and many believe it to be a genuine haunting and unexplainable now as it was when it happened.
I want you to know that I found you after listening to all of Art Bells Ghost to Ghost. I like this story a lot. This is only the 2nd story I've ever heard about stones falling. Well done my friend 🧡
Hi, I'm a 52 yr old in South Australia & never heard of this. Intriguing to say the least! Thanks for the time you take to research, totally enjoying every watch 🫶
Whoa 😳!! This WAS a strange, sad, confusing and exciting case indeed! No, I’ve never heard it before and that part was so awesome!! Most stories on TH-cam are just repeats of the same stories 🙄🥱 But this one, this one was new to me and therefore, very refreshing and welcomed 🥰 Thank you The tape library 🥇 Great story telling and fantastic investigative work to pull this all together 🏆 This was freaky 🫣 Perfect for around Halloween time 🎃
Love the more obscure stories! I binge on this topic and while I love hearing different versions of interesting cases, I love being pleasantly surprised by one I've never heard about. 😊❤
Please please please keep doing the lesser-known stuff. I like to listen to this type of stuff while I am working. Lately I've found myself spending more and more time searching for new videos that aren't about something I've heard three or four other youtubers cover already. The only thing worse than clicking on a video with a cryptic title only to realize halfway through the intro that you've already heard it, is having that happen multiple time per day 😅 Thank you for all your hard work so those of us who listen at work can continue to work hard too 😂
Yes thank u so much. I get so tired of hearing the same things over tons of channels. This is so refreshing to hear stories I’ve never heard of before. Please continue ❤
I hadn't heard of this case before and really enjoyed it. I'm happy when you cover both unknown and well-known stories. Your narration always makes it anyway and the stories always come across as authentic even when there's scepticism involved.
this one was really spooky! I usually don't mind hearing stories that other channels have covered as long as you bring your own twist to it (additional research, an interesting formatting, good storytelling etc) but this case was brand new to me and super interesting! I really like the way you format your videos! they have a good structure, so they feel factual, but it doesn't impede the storytelling aspect and draws you right in! thank you for bringing us these wonderfully creepy cases!
Hello! I couldn’t have said this better!! Thanks for posting so I could tag along on yer comment. This has become one of my favorite places! Have a creepy Halloween!👻🎃👹
The balance is lesser known but with sufficient detail to explore and evaluate. Loved it. What a blast from home. The answer to 'what would an Aussie haunting look like?'
I always love to hear about a story I have never heard before. But I also enjoy hearing a new take on ones I have heard of before. I also prefer your style of portraying the cases over most any other channels.
I'd personally love to hear more about lesser known cases like this one since the classic ones are so overdone but honestly, cover the cases you're interested the most! While I know you have to appeal to an audience, it's when the narrator feels passionate about what they're investigating that makes everything more compelling! Great job on these, thank you for sharing them ♥
So refreshing to hear new content(or less known). There’s so many repetitive videos out. This is very refreshing. Thank you, appreciate what you do 🙏🙏👌🏼👌🏼👍👍🫶🏻🫶🏻
Oooo. Now that was amazing and rather unnerving. I love hearing about the more unusual and lesser known stories, well done for picking this. Really odd that dangerous objects such as glass and knives were flying around. Not quite sure what sane person would do that as a stunt ! Loved it. ❤
I really enjoy the mix of content that you provide on this channel. The depth of research and care that you put into each story makes your videos can't miss. I always enjoy hearing an educated take on more well known stories but there is something about hearing something for the first time. It just engages me in a way that has me on the edge of my seat during your episode and then hungry to go out and dig up any additional information that I can find.
Really crazy case. I had heard a little about this one before, but you definitely covered it well. You really do a great job leaving no stone, or in this case, no pebble unturned. Thanks for another creepy tale to listen to and ponder over sir.
I really enjoyed this one. I'm not a huge paranormal afficionado, so I'm not concerned about how obscure your stories are. I just love the way that you tell them. I'm very picky about horror stuff, and this is my absolute favorite channel.
Yo Tape Library, Kudos to you for finding this Case and putting together the subsequent video! Meta-materialization and/or Teleportation of objects have been documented before, but not exclusively in connection to Poltergeist activity. These are all Phenomena that do indeed exist on the periphery of what we commonly call 'Life'. They most certainly do NOT require one's 'Believing' in them for such existence either. In this particular instance, I'm certain the first Priest that had begun an Exorcism, had the most accurate description of what was occurring in the home. At least one of the occupants had been a full blown Medium, (most likely the child and/or one of the parents) and the Individual which was actually attached to the property became furious that they could not/would not Channel them. This was first time I've heard of this specific Haunting though there are other very serious Hauntings in and around Australia I hope you find worthy of your talents as well. Another truly amazing example of Meta-materialization, that was observed by no fewer than three Uniformed Police Officers, was that of Donnie Decker in the U.S. Thanks for the Post.
I love the ones that have been heard before as well as the lesser known. Your delivery makes even the better known ones sound new. Thank you for all you do!!

Most stories on TH-cam are just repeats of the same stories 🙄🥱
But this one, this one was new to me and therefore, very refreshing and welcomed 🥰
Thank you The tape library 🥇
Great story telling and fantastic investigative work to pull this all together 🏆
This was freaky 🫣
Perfect for around Halloween time 🎃
Thanks for watching
Love the more obscure stories! I binge on this topic and while I love hearing different versions of interesting cases, I love being pleasantly surprised by one I've never heard about. 😊❤
More to come hopefully!
Please please please keep doing the lesser-known stuff. I like to listen to this type of stuff while I am working. Lately I've found myself spending more and more time searching for new videos that aren't about something I've heard three or four other youtubers cover already. The only thing worse than clicking on a video with a cryptic title only to realize halfway through the intro that you've already heard it, is having that happen multiple time per day 😅 Thank you for all your hard work so those of us who listen at work can continue to work hard too 😂
Will try my best to include more obscure stuff when I can :)
@@TheTapeLibrary ❣Appreciate you!
If there is any channel to make lesser known stories better known, this is the one.
Thanks!
Yay the tape libery upload again 🎉
Enjoy!
Yes thank u so much. I get so tired of hearing the same things over tons of channels. This is so refreshing to hear stories I’ve never heard of before. Please continue ❤
Wow! Cool story- thank you for sharing! Great job. There are some things we humans just can't explain.... Happy Spooky Season🎉❤😊
Thanks for watching!
@TheTapeLibrary My Pleasure- please keep up the AWESOME work!!! Much appreciated ❤
I hadn't heard of this case before and really enjoyed it. I'm happy when you cover both unknown and well-known stories. Your narration always makes it anyway and the stories always come across as authentic even when there's scepticism involved.
Enjoyed!! Stay spooky.
Thanks for watching :)
I love hearing about more unknown stories tbh. I have never heard this story and it was very interesting thank you. I love the more obscure.
In a Chopper Read accent ( looks like those bloody Polts are causing a little bit of mischief again Shirl ,silly bloody things ) !!!
this one was really spooky!
Lovely to hear, thank you!
Hello! I couldn’t have said this better!! Thanks for posting so I could tag along on yer comment. This has become one of my favorite places! Have a creepy Halloween!👻🎃👹
I think the child is probably psychic it would be interesting to find out. The stories you find are amazing 👏.
The child? Oh that's interesting, no one had suggested that before I don't think
The balance is lesser known but with sufficient detail to explore and evaluate. Loved it. What a blast from home. The answer to 'what would an Aussie haunting look like?'
Lesser Known stories or well known stories. It doesn't matter.Tape library is a remarkable story teller.Thank You TAPE LIBRARY.
Thanks!
I always love to hear about a story I have never heard before. But I also enjoy hearing a new take on ones I have heard of before. I also prefer your style of portraying the cases over most any other channels.
Love these non mainstream stories. Can't wait to finish the vid during lunch break
Yes! I get so excited when you post new videos! Thank you. You are by FAR my favorite storyteller on TH-cam. The best hands down.❤
Thank you :)
I'd personally love to hear more about lesser known cases like this one since the classic ones are so overdone but honestly, cover the cases you're interested the most! While I know you have to appeal to an audience, it's when the narrator feels passionate about what they're investigating that makes everything more compelling! Great job on these, thank you for sharing them ♥
Oh I never cover something if I'm not interested in it first haha
@@TheTapeLibrary perfect!
I love hearing paranormal stories that I’ve never heard before!!! Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
I love these lesser known stories! Fascinating and thought provoking! Great video 🎉
Sharing this with anyone who might enjoy it. Well put together and compelling study of an exceptional case.
Great video! I enjoy the more obscure stories. The bigger cases just get rehashed so many times that they eventually lose their interest.
Loved this! Excellent work! Thank you for running down the story and narrating it for all of us!
Outstanding! As a skippy, I've heard of this tale, but you've really done it justice.
You rock!
Thanks Tim!
love when you post something i’ve never heard of before!!!
So refreshing to hear new content(or less known). There’s so many repetitive videos out. This is very refreshing. Thank you, appreciate what you do 🙏🙏👌🏼👌🏼👍👍🫶🏻🫶🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent episode-thank you for sharing this story!
Thanks for listening :)
I love hearing the lesser known stories. Please do more of them
Oooo. Now that was amazing and rather unnerving. I love hearing about the more unusual and lesser known stories, well done for picking this.
Really odd that dangerous objects such as glass and knives were flying around. Not quite sure what sane person would do that as a stunt ! Loved it. ❤
Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
Love hearing about the less famous hauntings! Brilliant job!
Really crazy case.
I had heard a little about this one before, but you definitely covered it well.
You really do a great job leaving no stone, or in this case, no pebble unturned.
Thanks for another creepy tale to listen to and ponder over sir.
Thank you for watching as always :) Really do appreciate the continued support
This is one I've never heard about please do more of the unheard of mysteries great job bro!!
This one is wild !! And your right, i listen to a lot of stories like these but have never heard this one before. Great work on this one !!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderfully refreshing to hear stories I've never heard before! Thank you!
Thanks for listening
As a new subscriber and newly listener. I'm hooked. Just love your stories. Thank you so much for bringing me such listening pleasure 🙏 ❤❤❤❤
I really enjoyed this one. I'm not a huge paranormal afficionado, so I'm not concerned about how obscure your stories are. I just love the way that you tell them. I'm very picky about horror stuff, and this is my absolute favorite channel.
Love this, thank you
Yo Tape Library, Kudos to you for finding this Case and putting together the subsequent video!
I think this is my favourite episode so far. Thanks!
Really? Thank you!
Another great video. Love the more obscure cases.
Cheers!
This was such an awesome story, I really love hearing these stories, especially ones other people haven't covered.
Fascinating. It’s great that you cover less known events. Thank you 🙏🏼 🎉
I've never heard of the "Humpty Doo" poltergeist. This case kept me on the edge of my seat!
I love hearing about ghost investigations even if they often don’t get what they want from it, the process itself is deeply interesting.
Same!
I love the ones that have been heard before as well as the lesser known. Your delivery makes even the better known ones sound new. Thank you for all you do!!
Thank you!
@@TheTapeLibrary you're quite welcome, my friend 🧡 🖤🧡🖤
I really liked this episode. Especially because I haven't seen it done by anyone else. That's actually what I love about your channel. Most of what I've seen, I haven't seen anywhere else
Ah that's great, thank you!
Excellent to hear this new story. l have never come across it before wonderfully told as always. Thank you
Tape library you're my new favorite pass time. Your voice soothes my soul. The stories are fascinating & your style of narrative is so brilliantly fresh. Instant fan girl at 50 😊
Thank you!
That’s amazing thank you for all of your efforts making great content. I literally need your voice to sleep at this point I keep rewatching old videos. Appreciate your channel, do you have Patrons access?
Forgot to say “please.”

@@TheTapeLibrary thank you I will check it out.
As an amateur paranormal scholar of 30+ years experience, I've never heard of this case before! I like hearing something new!
Love that Australia has cities with names like Humpty Doo
Besides that would love to hear more Australian ghost stories (if not here then matbe on the Night Drive channel?)
Well done as always Tape Library 👍
I loved this. It was new and interesting story wise. I like hearing of the well known cases too if you bring new information to the table.
It was good to hear a new story! Thanks for your work!
Thanks for watching!
