I love oddball, unusual and rare planes in kit form. More of these need to be put out there. Just makes such a nice change from teh run of hte mill planes. Not the finest and most detailed of kits, but I look forward to seeing what can be made of this.
Hi I am czech so i can translate something at 1:29 it says that these are color shades for camouflage. Kovozavody Prostejov are still manufacturing here and we are calling them K P's . Thanks for review can't wait to see it builded.
built one of these recently it was in white plastic ,I like old KP kits ,need a bit of work but I find them charming & unusual, plus from this era they are still quite cheap to get hold of
I have one of those back in the 1980s, but that one only had Czech instructions. It was gray. This example must be from a more recent production run. At 8:39 you see a rectangular gap at the bottom of the fuseage - just behind the wing area - where you can insert the stand.
Back to basics will be cool. 🙂 The thing with the plastic colour is that during communist times the things were manufactured from whatever was delivered to the factory. So one day it could be gray, next day blue and the other day green for example. 🙂
Next to KP only RSmodels makes this 1/72 scale Avia B.35 kit. Nice thing is the shape of the wings resembles the spitfire 😊 I like KP kits a lot.
Thanks for the info!

More to come!
I'd love to see this built 'old fashioned'. It's certainly an uncommon subject :)
Thanks! I'll see what I can do

And as a name Kovozavody Prostejov implies company is now located near Prague ;-)
Looking forward to the build. Nice to see these old kits show up. Thanks

In fact just picked up a pair of KP kits from the 80's an Avia B33 version of the IL 10 & an aero c.3a
5:08 Djur-al-you-min :)
Cool kit, it's an attractive camoflage for sure.
Liked the review, would love to see a build scribing the wings replacing the raised panel lines.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Another great review of a rare kit. It's not one you often see 😊 I've hot a few KP models in the stash. Keep up the great work son 👏
Thanks, will do!
It looks interesting. I agree with back to basocs, or 3D printing a pilot and interior and teying to super detail it ...
Nice ideas!
I built it 30 years ago. Would be nice to see it build again.
Watch this space!
Thank you for this review. 🛩
My pleasure!
i think it will be nice kit, once you'll manage to put it together without removing lot of details while sanding. I really like old KP kits.
Interesting with the blue plastic
yes, apparently it stems from them just using whatever was delivered to the factory on the day lol
would be interesting to see it painted with the blue plastic
I think a primer will solve the problem of the blue plastic
@@ModelMinutes not sure if this applys to that plane or era but some planes had a blue underbelly maybe that would be interesting
So cool 👍🏻

I’ve got a vintage Frog spitfire mk 8 don’t plan on building it for reasons
fair enough
The slot for the display stand is on the fuselage halves just to the rear of the wing trailing edge.
Yup, I couldn’t see it in the recording but it has been pointed out since
hi i love your vids
I'm glad you like them!
It does look a bit meh Matt. I did spot that there is a slot for the stand in the bottom of the fuselage. So, you won't need to cut one in the wings.
good spot!

ah that's interesting, thanks for letting me know!
"Yeah, not a fan" ... Matt, it's a kit older than you are, and quite probably older than me and I get a bus pass next year 😆
Lol, i'm still looking forward to building it :P
