hi Eric... some really cool models..my dad had a '50 chevy.. the 53 is basically the same body... i like your idea with the Olds... thx 4 sharing.. vinny
I think the 73 Olds is from a guy who goes by Too Many Projects. He does have a You Tube channel under that name. The windows are actually used as templates to make glass from clear plastic.
Revell had some really great kits back in the 60s / 70s. The bad thing with them is they all came with them nasty 2 piece plastic tries in all of there kits. Just like monogram and there X runner tries that had to be cleaned. Joe B
Great classis kit, fun to build but not that detailed. Some good features some less desirable in it. Still be iconic/desirable since 69/70 is a testament in itself. I've got atleast 2+ of each the Sedan and the Sedan Delivery. I think the "new parts" would've been the wheels. The tooling was originally out as a '53 Sedan Delivery in '69 and '54 Sedan in '70.
@juanrobayo764 I'm not sure on the availability of the Olds 88, but you could check on Ebay for the 53 Chevy. The prices will vary. Thanks for watching!
That's a great option, being able to open the doors on the '53 Chevy!
Absolutely!
The solid windows were to give you a template to cut your clear plastic for the windows.!!!
Yes, I had found that out after making the video. Never owned a resin kit previously. First one.
Sweet adds!!!! Looking forward to see how the GBs wrap up for you!!! 🤙🏼
Thanks, brother! Should be picking up steam here pretty soon on the GBs👍
glad to see you building a 53.chevy the year I was born.another kit I'd like to have is a 58 Chevy impala.i had 1 55 years ago.

Awesome, thanks for the info!
Nice 53 Chevy, I think I have a frame, other projects look good
Thanks! I may have a solution to the chassis. That's in an upcoming video👍
I wish Revell would upgrade the headlights and tail lights to the 53-4 Chevy kit. Mostly the same as the Sedan Delivery kit
That would be cool
@@ericsmodelgarage The Monogram 53 has the correct H/L and T/L, but it's 1/24 scale and aren't interchangeable.😠
@@dh190852 That's actually one I'd like to get my hands on too
oh shit i had a 74 delta 400 trans pucked after i bought it talk aboat your boats🤣😁🤩😎

Ahh, that could be. I didn't do much of a check before hand. Just a cool part of history. Thanks, Adam!
Wow those are really cool kits, can I ask where you got the 74 Olds???
I did a trade with my friend. I don't know where the car originated
@@ericsmodelgarage I gotcha, keep up the great work, the mpc 76 caprice chassis may work on the Olds
@@jamesharrington4923 Yeah, I'm gonna keep digging around and see if I can come up with a complete kit. I'll check into the caprice chassis. Thanks!
@@ericsmodelgarage sure thing buddy, I'd like to have one and turn into Ash's delta 88 from the evil.dead movie lol 😂
My Mom had a 1964 Olds Holiday 88 back in the late 1960s. It had the big 394 motor, and was a great highway cruiser for family vacations.
Any idea where I can get a "53' chevy ?
Would love to do a gasser...
