Perhaps you women have a secret you know and are telling us. I suppose it is not a secret after all. In all of 30 years or more, of meeting women, getting into relationships and finding love, I have met hundreds of wonderful women, all lovely, intelligent, empathetic and loving; however, I only managed to have some form of living and loving relationship with 2 women; the first one lasted 6 months and the relationship fizzled. I could not get her interested in doing anything with me and I then left her. A couple of years later, she asked me, on a chance encounter, why I never asked her to take her out. I told her I still had feelings for her but I figuratively asked her 100's of times to go out with me and she always said she was either busy or not interested. So I said to her that I eventually stopped trying and calling. She apologized and said that she had feelings for me still. I told her that there will always be a place in my heart for her, but it was too late now and I had to move on. Life dictated that we could not be together anymore. The second relationship, started as friends in the beginning, but then moved to a full fledged relationship with sex, and eventual marriage. It is rather funny how it escalated into relationship. Both of us expressed interest in travelling to Jamaica for our vacation. But she said we would not go to Jamaica together as friends; there would have to be much more between us. I found myself out of the friendship zone, a zone made necessary because both of us worked in the same department, and into a secretive love relationship, which lead eventually to marriage and two children. We had been together for 25 wonderful years, until she died from diabetes, strokes and kidney failure. Since her death, I went back into the dating world. I tell you it was tough. So many women out there but the women I encountered were either married or in relationships; no single women. It appeared the single women were all invisible or wanted nothing to do with me, other than friendship. I did eventually find one but it is a long distance relationship of 8 years. We can't be together because of so many unforeseen circumstances and now the pandemic. In a rather lengthy comment, I am stating that the myth of there being an abundance of available women is actually a myth. Mind you my age is also a disadvantage. What woman really would have a relationship with an older man?

If guys considered women they are interested in with the same care and thoughtfulness that they employ when making a major purchase, like a car or house, they might get better results. After all, a shiny and sexy new car isn't necessarily reliable, affordable, high quality, etc. This all has to be figured out and factored in before making a serious decision. You wouldn't tell the agent or salesman that you will do or pay any price to get what you want. It's like painting, " Sucker" on your forehead.

I've been talking to a woman for about five months. We had our first date three months ago. Then we couldn't see each other since then until two weeks ago. Perhaps you women have a secret you know and are telling us. I suppose it is not a secret after all. In all of 30 years or more, of meeting women, getting into relationships and finding love, I have met hundreds of wonderful women, all lovely, intelligent, empathetic and loving; however, I only managed to have some form of living and loving relationship with 2 women; the first one lasted 6 months and the relationship fizzled. I could not get her interested in doing anything with me and I then left her. A couple of years later, she asked me, on a chance encounter, why I never asked her to take her out. I told her I still had feelings for her but I figuratively asked her 100's of times to go out with me and she always said she was either busy or not interested. So I said to her that I eventually stopped trying and calling. She apologized and said that she had feelings for me still. I told her that there will always be a place in my heart for her, but it was too late now and I had to move on. Life dictated that we could not be together anymore.
The second relationship, started as friends in the beginning, but then moved to a full fledged relationship with sex, and eventual marriage. It is rather funny how it escalated into relationship. Both of us expressed interest in travelling to Jamaica for our vacation. But she said we would not go to Jamaica together as friends; there would have to be much more between us. I found myself out of the friendship zone, a zone made necessary because both of us worked in the same department, and into a secretive love relationship, which lead eventually to marriage and two children. We had been together for 25 wonderful years, until she died from diabetes, strokes and kidney failure.
Since her death, I went back into the dating world. I tell you it was tough. So many women out there but the women I encountered were either married or in relationships; no single women. It appeared the single women were all invisible or wanted nothing to do with me, other than friendship. I did eventually find one but it is a long distance relationship of 8 years. We can't be together because of so many unforeseen circumstances and now the pandemic.
In a rather lengthy comment, I am stating that the myth of there being an abundance of available women is actually a myth. Mind you my age is also a disadvantage. What woman really would have a relationship with an older man?
