Honestly kind of a bummer. its the closest was got to a new ape escape in nearly 20 years and he spent the entire time complaining about not being able to use the damn right stick.
from a game design perspective it would be pretty horrible to go from normal astro bot controls to ape escape controls. I played ape escape 1 recently because of astro bot and hoo boy the controls took me a while to get used to lmao.
@@masteroflight7296 Japan Studios made Ape Escape, they were absorbed in to Asobi, which was a part of Japan Studios. The devs are pretty much most of the devs that made the Ape Escape games. Pretty sure they were thinking exactly what you said, it would be too jarring to completely change the controls.
The Ape Escape level was such a surprise and brought me so much joy when I first experienced it, and Caddy spent the entire level talking about the fact that the net should've been mapped to the right stick. Talk about ruining your own fun...
Sure, initially I did think "well this doesn't control like Ape Escape" but then like you know they aren't gonna change the controls for one level and it was joyful anyway.
Bruh, Caddy spent the ENTIRE Ape Escape love letter level complaining about the controls. And like, he kept saying "I'm not complaining, this is still great" then dude why were you still on it for so long??? Like I really don't wanna be preachy and uppity but goddamn we really need to learn to just enjoy what's in front of us sometimes.

I feel like changing the entire control scheme is not just asking too much, it's the objectively bad choice from a game design aspect. on one end, you get the people who have played ape escape that would enjoy it, but you'd ALSO have millions whove never even heard of ape escape needing to learn a completely divorced control scheme for a ten minute section of gameplay? it genuinely would make no sense and would do the exact opposite of what the objective is of "go play these games!" and would kinda infuriate anyone just enjoying their Astro Bot experience from ever looking into it.

Really don't know why you acted like these bosses are any harder than ones in Odyssey or like the one's in that game don't require you to pay attention to them or think. They very much do like what lol.

Caddy raging about streaming issues is great content in itself 😂
They should make a compilation
1:26:07 How did Caddy miss this TWICE?

47 mintues of caddy having mental breakdown over stream issues is funny lol

I love how this time stamp is the dead elgato screen
Ranting for half an hour on world 1 about not literally becoming Ape Escape lol
I hope this becomes the recurring gag of this playthrough
I am Nitpickarus
What would be fascinating is if there was a Spyro level, and the PlayStation symbols represented the gems to collect.
Kurasshu Bandikuu🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
the first half hour is peak Caddy streams XD
Sorry for the long dennis daddy caddy lol

Im so glad I have already 100% this game. Was fun, but got a bit harder near the end.

It's not a Caddy Stream Until something goes wrong
The NFT Gorilla
Astronaut lives!
Caddy, have you upset a nest of Gremlins?
because that is the only explanation that I can think of why you have such variety in your stream problems

Are people start going to call me Beefy Wah after this stream, now?
Yes
Awesome time
Dont worry Cadd, I also thought they might use the right stick to play ape escape. Sadly no.
Right choice. No point changing the entire control scheme for one level.
I'm confused how he did the Crash Dance. I've stood all around Crash and he only does the four normal dances 😮💨
Press down on d-pad while beeing near him, down is dance button.
