@@bthojh9849 CR booster boxes sat at sub $100 for around a year from my memory. I would say people where pretty mid on the set for a long time.

Crown zenith is the funnest set to open. I started collecting again when crown zenith came out and no set matches it as far as fun factor
I cant wait until im old and get to hand down vintage (now modern) pokemon cards to grandkids one at a time.
Made some moves on Suicune, Entei, and Raikou PSA 10s, and loving the steady appreciation of my CZ mini tin displays!
Don't usually comment much but man, Alex your callouts and insights have been spot on. I don't have money to buy cases just yet, but I've been sniping booster boxes from Sun/Moon through Scarlet/Violet eras as I see deals. English sealed product has been doing amazing and you're a huge part of the reason I got back into collecting and even started dabbling in investing. Also you're almost at 10k subs man! I got a case of SV Base and PR for 450 and 480 respectively at card show a month ago. Wish I bought more.
Ya it's crazy they were that low at one point.
I learned my lesson from SWSH. If you can get cases for under $600, regardless of how bad the set is, just buy it. Worse case scenario is the boxes settle around MSRP and you're still up a bunch.

I am only 2 minutes in and needed this video! I've seen a handful of videos the last few days of people saying a crash is coming, yet no reasoning and real basis.
@@kedjfj798 absolutely agree! My issue is when they title videos and say its CRASHING when in reality, it will most likely be a correction that will lower it some %, which makes sense with all of the upticks lately.
Just do what I do... stay away from the negative people. They will be calling crash, market manipulation, buyouts and irrational behavior for the next 20 years. It is their only weapon to use against a thriving market. Only issue is, it don't work 😂
Ive been on and off with the hobby and investing in sealed product. I’ve got 3 about 3 of every box however I’m still missing temporal and twilight. Ive got some catching up to do.
You have time. They are both still new.
It’s easy right now in the market to make quick flips on singles, to use to invest in sealed, or just to keep rolling money. If you listen, do your own due diligence, and make the play. Picked up the Mewtwo Vstar this weekend at a card shop for $55 thinking crown zenith would be moving soon, and I’m pretty good about it now.

crown zenith is my favorite looking set. the galarian gallery cards look great and there are so many of them. sure other sets have the "best" looking cards but its not many and in terms of overall distribution of good arts i dont think anything in S&S comes close to CZ. people are sleeping on this set big time. picked up 2 cases of pin blisters and 7 tins to sit on and a bunch of singles this month. Just actually added 72 loose packs today after seeing everything start flying up.

I don't have much money but I picked up the legendary beasts from crown zenith raw and a sylveon from brilliant stars in psa 9, it's around £40ish and I picked it up last week for £18 which is a steal

Man, you gave good advice months ago. I took the advice and can't understand why people are pushing back. I like making profits so I sold some sports cards and comic books to finally get out of debt because I bought sealed Pokemon and just held it.

The issue with SV is that cases will be capped at MSRP as long as they are listed on Pokémon Center. I can't see PC selling out anytime soon. That being said, I don't see them being any cheaper than they are right now.

Bough many paldea booster boxes when they were selling around $80 and then again in the $90s. That was even before it was hyped up. I can definitely see paldea as one of the top SV era sets.
Also got a case of paradox rift for $480 end of last year.
Great value people are missing out on, busy catching up with SwSh and ignoring/hating on SV.
Hard to say that this early due to how mid some sets are and they could come out with some bangers still crossing my fingers that actually happens

I think singles are less risky but you can see better gains in psa 10s especially into major spikes most of the time. Not in every circumstance but most of the time.
i get the sealed case but when I go to sell my stuff. Im surely going to break that case down.
So I really dont understand why ppl pay so high for it. Other thn the fact maybe ppl are out there weighing booster boxes? I think its possible tho idk

Im just a couple months back into this hobby because of 151 and i was thinking on investing 1000€ into 2x silver tempest, 1x fusion strike, 1x lost origin, 1 -2 obsidian flames, 1x paldea evolved and maybe some temporal forces, would you say thats diversified enough, or should i dodge on fusion strike and lost origin because of their already high price ? I also thought of buying a case of silver tempest, but that wouldnt leave with much to diversify 🤔😅 Greetings from Germany and keep up the good Vids !

Sure but when, how much and what price will it fall to? There is a chance that people who picked it up "too early" got the best prices we may ever see. Just never know. When you try to time the market you will get things right but have to be okay with missing things too.

Paradox is making moves for sure! I was able to get 2 Paradox Rift BB Cases at $525 average a month or 2 ago.
At the beginning of this video, the ebay seller you linked for Paradox Rift BB cases had 9 in stock and by the end of the video they had 7 (I purchased 1 of them, lol). That price wont last much longer. Even with a reprint, it seems they may not drop under $100 a box if they follow the same pattern as Lost Origin and Silver Tempest since those boxes never seemed to go under $120.
Also, glad I was able to get in on 2 Paldea Evolved BB cases around the same time when they were still under 590 each.
Been picking up CZ ETBs around $42 for opening since they also seem to be drying up, plus it's probably the most fun set I've had ripping into. I'm comfortable on my sealed positions for that set, but I don't want to touch it while it's still available affordably at the moment.
Now I'm working on picking up a lot of these underappreciated SV singles while they are low!

Question, how come you didn’t bring up the mini tin display when talking about crown zenith. The pull rate is even higher in those than the etb.
I explained in other videos that I keep things simple and stick with the main line items like booster boxes for main sets and etbs for special sets. There are definitely good opportunities out there but the booster boxes and special etbs are usually the most liquid items in the sets as things age 5+ years which is why I stick with them. That's all.

People that invest in Pokemon cards and think they’re going to use it as a retirement fund make me laugh. Enjoy the cards and the artwork and leave them to your kids or relatives. Invest in precious metals or something for retirement.
