  • Victoria falls #Zimbabwe and #Zambia is the largest waterfall in the world. It is twice the height of North America’s Niagara Falls. The falls are full from February to May with April being the peak due to the flooding of the Zambezi river.During the flood season, however, it is impossible to see the foot of the falls and most of its face, and the walks along the cliff opposite it are in a constant shower and shrouded in mist.
The falls are about 1.7km in length and 108m high. There are 19 viewpoints 1-15 are on the Zimbabwean side while 16-19 are on the Zambian side. Buckle up as I take you on an viewing adventure from different viewpoints.
#Victoriafalls is part of the Zambezi River which is the fourth largest river in Africa spanning across 6 countries
In 1855, David Livingstone British explorer was the first European to witness the majestic Mosi oa Tunya. He named it Victoria Falls in honor of Queen Victoria of England. He said
"No one can imagine the beauty of the view from anything witnessed in England."

@@NdauTribe13 Zimbabwe got lucky because the border was drawn in the wrong place. The people on both sides on that part of the river are Tonga. Since 95% of the Tonga live in Zambia, and only 5% live in Zimbabwe, Mozambique and the Botswana, the river is rightly Zambian. You Shona should not be coming from Masvingo to spread confusion. The river starts in Zambia, flows in Zambia for most of its course, gives the name to country Zambia, and gets its name from the Tonga people who always called in Kasambabezi; how are you non-Tonga Zimbabweans involved in this?

David Livingstone was not an explorer. The KhoiSan had been in the area for 15, 000 years and the Tonga had been in it for 1300 years. The Kololo arrived there 15 years before he did, and they are the ones who told him about the falls and took him there.

You guys have a big problem... You found the falls like that and in both countries with a boader separating it but still each country wants to claim that the falls has a better view from each side... You found it like that when you were born and you will leave it like that... I love the view from the Zambian side but the Zimbabwean side also has a nice view.. Even though the Zambian side is the source of the falls, it runs in both countries.. Unless and until the boarder is broken and the falls is in the Zambia side, it will be considered as the two countries share it... Those who have a problem with that will have to deal with it 😂Coz it's really not that deep..What difference does it make.. There is a reason why it's in both countries, I'm sure even the people before fought over who deserves the falls.. But the fact that you found both countries sharing the falls means its what's there live with it...

The view is magical on the Zambian side. The water that flows in the falls is on the Zambian. The source of the Zambezi river is in Zambia known as the kaleni hills. The knife bridge is spectacular. I wished you crossed over but you only visited one side.

Lol. Zambian waterfalls that can also be seen in Zimbabwe. Most of the falls are in Zambia. That’s why in Zambia people can actually stand at the top of the falls when the water levels are low. A thing which you cannot do no matter how much you tried in Zimbabwe since there’s a gorge between you and the waterfalls.

No actually it's the opposite, in Zambia that's where you can view it from so many areas, you can view it from the top of it, then on different sides and from the bottom where water is flowing down we the place boiling point of which when in Zimbabwe there is no way you can happen to view this point. Instead in Zambia that's where you can have a 75 %.
