Its simply amazing how you have concluded that the millions of Zimbabweans in poverty, rural and urban, considered food insecure by FAO & WFP, that are currently recieving food donations are "media lies" because you saw a "lot of food on this one market"?

This is where the freshest produce in Zimbabwe, ingredients for meals in expensive restaurants comes from. Most of the produce is only a few hours old, so very fresh and quite cheap.

Once again a demonstration of the safety and security of Zimbabwe. This Mbare area is considered the toughest and roughest in the whole of Zimbabwe but yet noone bothered African Tigress , hardly any police around , noone bothered Tigress even when she walked alone at the end of the clip. She carried her bag at the front and then at the back no problem

After having watched most of your videos, I have learned that apart from diverse languages and different country names, we Africans are basically the same people living in almost similar sorroundings. That market scene could be in Kawangware Kenya, Atsiaman Ghana, or Xai-Xai Mozambique.

True my first time visiting mbare was in 2013 coming from checheche growthpoint in chipinge South, I was going to starfm but after I went to mbare I was waiting for that day I heard a lot about that place since I was young.
What fascinated me was the hustling spirit it awakened some of us never to be ashamed of making money up to this day I sometimes do Door to door vending.

Wow that's my Zimbabwe. I think you went there after 11am or 12pm after the farmers wholesale market is closed. There you can buy a box of tomatoes or anything very cheap but you will have to go there very early in the morning. 2019 I went there teaching my niece how to buy and sell so I can set up a business for her rather than being a maid where the husband will be abusing you and Chuck you away with the baby. Thank God I set that up for her she has mastered it and doing well. Thank you for showing the world the real Zim not that other people portray Zimbabwe to the world. And if you haven't been to Zim for a long time you can believe those lies. But you have actually shown those who were believing Zimbabwe is just ruins, saying no this is the real Zim despite what you read and shown this is ZIMBABWE. Thanks a ton for that

Mbare is the oldest black urban settlement, home the biggest market, home industries, vegetable market, biggest bus/coach terminus to travel to any part of Zimbabwe mainly rural areas, Mr Zim should have take to indoor market which is very modern, neat and well organised. Herbs market and take some of the world renowned vuka vuka back Kenya to give to men there...tourists flock to get it.

They are utilising US System that You all relied on government and Middle eastern Asians like Pakistan's,Indians in terms of service ....Even zimbos you got them there but South Africans Have taught you don't need to make something's on your self rather relied on foreigners ........The huge black market are in Big cities ....I don't know why it is like that but thanks it was lovely To see you in Zimbabwe.....Sarai zvakanaka

After that day,my mother made sure I won't wear expensive watches anymore when walking around Mbare coz in those days pick pockets were very high.It looks much more laid back now than it was in the 80s and early 90s.Maybe Covid restricted people from flocking into Mbare.I will be visiting Zimbabwe next year,I am so exited about it.

The market folks need to have 1 day during the week where they clean up that market place. Zimbabwean people we are generally very clean and the state of Mbare is not a reflection on the average Zimbabwean household. Government needs to assist with putting some order and building proper structures for the market stalls. Small changes that will make such a massive difference and make the marketers proud of themselves.☺️

Totally agree! The place is filthy, dirty needs better planning and organisation, can easily become a breeding ground for diseases. The gorvement needs to be proactive to improve this market area for hardworking Zimbabweans!

Africa is the same everywhere although I never expected Zimbabwe which used to be very clean in our region to look like what I have seen. It’s exciting though for anyone to walk freely in the market & to see the skill with the guys making fence wire.

The local city Council could earn so much money from taxes if they cleaned the place up and built proper stands and pavements. Even more money than in first streets in the the capital and other big cities.

@@truepeace8906 no it is not okay ! , Zimbabwean open markets should not look like the rest of the dirty markets in slums and cities of Africa and the rest of the so called third world.

@@playgirl7305 there are well structured markets in most African cities but things are much cheaper in open markets like this for both consumers and marketers. If you are middle income earner you obviously go to a better organised ones but this is more fun, only when u try it can u understand. Somethings are better left as they were for centuries there are dynamicism to it that can only be experienced when u take part in the bargaining of goods n services. You learn negotiating skills they cannot teach u in class.
