    Loved to see Vic Falls once again...I lived there for (8) of the best months of my life with my husband who is from Vic Falls. There are honestly no kinder people in the world, but please know, though this gal has her husband behind her filming, like anywhere in the wilderness, I definitely would not go alone & always be very aware of what's around you there. There are elephants that blend unbelievably behind trees that are very dangerous, leopards, etc & once you're in the bush, you become part of the food chain. It's that simple & all the animals there are on defense from the lions. And what I learned is, never ever stand at the waters edge of the Zambezi. The crocs can leap very far to grab their prey & walk on land, not to mention the hippos. It made life very exciting, but the animals can be very dangerous....Disney was the worst portrayal of the natural world there is. And when I left Zimb, I left my heart & soul...No better place on the earth & I've travelled all over.

      Thank you very much! The hike is approximately 3 km long (1.5 km from one end to the other) and you can spend easily a full day watching the falls and taking pictures. We entered the park around 10:00 in the morning and left it just before it closed at 18:00 in the evening. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus

      Gern geschehen.

    Hi ~ Great Video.
    Question : There is "Armchair Falls" ~
    Do they still allow access to "The Armchair Rock" ?
    I was there in July 1994 ( 30 years ago )
    & was only 1 of 2 in our traveling group
    of 13 that walked out and sat in it &
    had it photographed for posterity.
    One of my favorite Vic Falls pics.

      Thank you very much for your kind comment, appreciate it very much! I don't know what the armchair rock is. If you mean the rocks right at the edge of danger point at the end of the Zimbabwe side, they want you to say away from them as you can see here in the video th-cam.com/video/GtA6kyk4mgw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CTwCC9U1ort2QJb7&t=803
      Looking back at our 2016 video, we can see that at that time, nothing was fenced off on the Zimbabwe side

    Awesome video! Breath-taking captures!! I actually booked a trip to South Africa (Cape Town, Johan and Kruger National Park) for Sept. 2025 with the option for an extension to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) for an extra 2 days. I haven't yet decided if I want to include Victoria Falls into my trip yet (to be honest, I'm not sure if it's a strong enough interest but I kinda want it to be as I know it's one of the 7 Wonders of the World...Lol). Not only that, but I know September is also the dry season for Victoria Falls so wondering if going this time of the year would still be worth seeing the waterfalls. But this is an AWESOME video! Regarding waterlevel, yes, it will be very low and will look very different. The question is if you plan to return at another time of the year or rather not. Sure you have looked at pictures of the falls from that time of the year and whether you decide if it will be worth to go there. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus

  • @HildaVScott
    @HildaVScott ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Great video, however it's important to mention that August is not peak water level season. Between April and Beginning of July, the water levels are highest and even the spots that shows less water in your video has a lot more water flowing over the edge. From August to November is the dry season and the water level drop drastically. But often during the wet season it is very difficult too see the falls due to the mist and spray. But as someone who grew up in Southern Africa, it's just important that people understand the falls water levels are different at different times of the year. And its also worthwhile doing a day trip to Zambia and seeing the falls on the Zambian side.
