My July was an expensive one. I got a OF Warehouse H pick from 8th floor, Buffalo Trace Kosher Rye, Laphroaig Cairdeas 2024, Larceny Small Batch store pick from 2021, 1792 Sweet Wheat. Whisky I passed on Blanton's that was bundled with Widow Jane in a small Mom n Pop store. Also passed on a 1792 Full Proof.
Some great bottles David. My July brought me 2 Gene's Wheated Wheiners, 1 Nassiff American Whiskey, 2 KC 9's, 2 EC small batch, 3 EW Heros 1.75L and 1 WT 101 1.75L.
Hey Dwayne! That is the perfect place at the perfect time 😆. There is no hope in finding something like that here in Southern California 😅. Thanks a ton for your view and comment so quickly after video launch! Truly appreciate it and cheers ~
I love the way you video your monthly hauls. I get more out of the bottles you passed on than the ones you picked up. Great haul as usual. Enjoy those bottles
The "passed on" bottles are my favorite section to do as well as it really paints the struggles and the decisions most of us go through when we are out trying to buy those allocated or expensive whiskeys. Wish we would all find it at MSRP or have the money to buy them all, but unfortunately we need to make choices 😆. Thank you so much for you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch as you always do! I truly appreciate it and cheers~
Hey Chris! The Found North was on my passed on and my whiskey haul list as I had a pour of it later and found it at a great price of $170 ✌. I also do not regret it (for now 🤣). I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
My local Total Wine (Thousand Oaks) has been on fire lately ; Makers heart release for 80$, blood oath 10 for 100$, Hancock reserve 99$, ECBP for 75$. Have yet to find to find HH grain to glass in my area though. Great haul as always!
Hey Austin! Still a great haul! I know I'm not the biggest fan of Blood Oath but there are many people who love it and even friends of mine who are dying for one so I'm sure if you liked the previous versions, this one will be homerun for you! Once you have a pour of each, let me know your favorite! Have a fantastic day and cheers~
Thank you Kenneth! What were you able to get in July? I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
Nice haul David. I was able to find the MM Hearts Release for $79.99. I like it. HH Grain to Glass was $99 each. All 3 are good, but not worth the money. I was tempted on the 2 bottle bundle of Weller Full proof because they were non chill filtered, but too much money. I have sampled the Found North batch 9 and it is fantastic. It is a $150 bottle. I would buy it at $150. Great price on your JD Twice Barreled Rye. I see it for $250. 🥃
Hey Dave! As usual, you get all your bottles at MSRP or very close to it, so jealous of your hunting abilities 😆. I was surprised at the JD Twice Barreled Rye as I thought it was a mistake, no other places had it so I'm assuming it was just a lost case in the back they found later. Oh well, lucky for me! I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
Nice video thanks for sharing your July haul. Me I’m just starting my collection so I’m gathering some basic bottles that I think will help me expand my palate. Old Elk straight bourbon wheated 5 yr, Jefferson’s straight bourbon ocean aged voyage 23, Michters small batch American whiskey, Whistlepig bourbon piggy back 6 yr, Uncle Nearest 1856 premium whiskey, Buffalo Trace bourbon whiskey, Elijah Craig small batch, and experimental scotch taste Monkey Shoulder. In July I did have to pass on the highly allocated bottles of buffalo trace, but thanks to your tips August is looking promising. Cheers 🥃
Hey Mario! That's a great way to start off your collection with some wonderful "basic" bottles that are absolutely delicious 👍. Once you find out what you like and don't like, then you can refine your search to some higher priced or high proof of those types of whiskeys, which will save you time and money. Hope this helps and let me know which one of your collection is your favorite! I truly appreciate your view and comment! Thank you so much and cheers~
Hi After you recommended hi proof fullerton, found the weller 107 for msrp with 130 purchase, so also picked up a glenfarclas 17 . Passed on the weller CYPB also at hi proof fullerton since $450 spend was required to get it at msrp. I'm still having nightmares for passing on it, lol.
Hey Jose! Great to hear you had a chance to go to Hi Proof and get a couple bottles you wanted!! It's a great store and hopefully they'll have more for you the next time~ I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
Nice haul David! MM hearts at my local total wine, early times and ECBP B524 up here in Nor Cal. Good luck to everyone who put their names for Old Forester Birthday bourbon. If it works out, my Kentucky trip in October will be all the worth it!
Good luck on the OF Birthday sweepstakes and hope you win it! Great haul as well and let me know once you had a pour of each, which one is your favorite! I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
I was able to get the RR 15 for SRP of $250, Passed on the Blood Oath 10 for $170 as BO 9 was just OK. Smoke Eye Hill from Private label Distillery I grabbed X2 at $90.00. This distillery is just down the street from me so I picked it up there. Those are a couple for me this month.
Hey Al! What a haul!! RR15 for $250 itself is great but to be able to grab the Smokeye Hill Private Label for $90 as you live close is just icing on the cake!! Very jealous 😆. Let me know how you like the RR15 and Smokeye Hill when you have a pour or two~ I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
Hey Eddie! Honestly, I'm still looking one for MSRP or even below $120, but if you'll willing to pay $170+, Corked on Sterns in Long Beach and Corked in Buena Park might have some. Grapepress #2 in Mission Viejo has a couple of store picks I believe. Dimension Liquor in Lake Forest also has their store pick as well for $180 or so I believe. Hopefully this helps!
I passed on Makers Heart release for $80ish and a HH grain to glass Bourbon for $114 for ECBP B524 @80ish. Smokeeye Hill is really good and for $75 a great pick up. Can't wait for your reviews. July and first week of August was so good to me I'm broke til end of September. I posted my haul on the discord. It was mostly BT allocations. Cheers
Hey Jonathan! Those are some nice bottles you passed on! I need your will to start passing on more bottles 😆. Thanks a million for being a member and always being active in Discord 🥰. Have a wonderful day and cheers~
Hey Steve! Will do! But Costco is a tough one as I don't have a membership (even though I know I can get alcohol without it). The hassle at some stores just is not worth it for me most of the time 😥. But thank you so much for the heads up! I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
Made a trip to Austin to visit some family and got 4 bottles of early times BiB after tasting it 😅. I never see them in CA. Also visited Still Austin and got their barrel strength offerings!
That's a great trip along with some nice bottles 👍. Let me know how you like the Still Austin after having a couple of pours! Thank you very much for your view and comment so quickly after video launch! Helps me out a ton and cheers ~
@@WhiskeyBank always excited for your videos! You’ve got a good series going with your hauls, reviews, and if you would buy them again which is much more relatable to myself and my new whiskey journey. As for Still Austin the BS Rye is fantastic, they also have a monthly Nancy’s pick barrel I got to taste that was leaps better than the standard however they were out of stock for purchase on her pick.
Agreed on all your passes but the 009. Bought a bottle when I didn’t win the Helldiver lotttery, it’s incredible. Later found a helldiver at msrp, and it’s great, but I’ll take the 009 over the helldiver for my palate.
Hey Daniel! I agree with you once I had a pour and luckily got it at a better price as well! Let's hope the bottle is just as good as the pour I was able to have! I truly appreciate your view and comment! Thank you so much and cheers~
I only bought 3 bottles in July. I picked up a bottle of Old Forester Single Barrel Rye Barrel Strength, Weller Antique 107, and a Buffalo Trace (to drink in Vegas).
Those are three great bottles and I'm sure you'll enjoy every drop of them 😉. I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
Hey Dave! Respect to Jonathan and the K.Luke team for doing what they did, especially after a review that wasn't great for them. I will absolutely be a fan and supporter of their brand as long as they continue to show the passion and love for whiskey like they do now 😄. Thank you so much for you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch as you always do! I truly appreciate it and cheers~
Hey Dean! Oof~~ That's a tough one and too expensive for me (as I still haven't had a pour 😆). Let's hope the prices come down somewhat as I do want to try it. Thank you so much for you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch as you always do! I truly appreciate it and cheers~
Hey Billy! That's a great idea and one I might have to do 😆. I love the MM 46 CS so if it's better than that... I might have to get a back up 😉. I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
I really love your haul videos. Thanks for doing them. My 2-month haul was pretty heavy with Buffalo Trace... Knob Creek 12-year, Elijah Craig Toasted Rye, Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch, Eagle Rare 10-year, Weller Special Reserve, and Blanton's Single Barrell. I passed on a Blood Oath Pact 10. And I just missed out on a Stagg. My one regret was that I passed on a Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Bourbon. I tried to go back the next morning, but it was gone. Overall, I'm calling it a successful haul.
Hey Bill! That was a great haul and I'm sure you'll be able to find the Grain to Glass soon as it seems there are more than people think there are. But enjoy the bottles you have until then as you got some awesome ones! I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
What a haul David! Glad you were able to find them amazing bottles. I’m hoping there will be a 24 release on the JD twice barreled rye. My bottle was gone fairly fast. I’m still looking to get that Makers and the HH rye when I can find them. No Russell’s 15 for me unless I can find it at $250 but that will never happen.
Hey Jim! That Russell's 15 is going to be a tough one, but the rumors are there is a ton of bottles out there so hopefully it'll be like the Camp Nelson F where we will see it more and more as time goes by. I'm sure you'll find the MM Heart Release and the HH G2G Rye very soon! I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a million and cheers~
David - sorry - I had to pause the video. The Found North Batch 9 is phenomenal. It stands up to OC American Batches 11 and 12 - did blind this weekend. Get it man. Oh dear God - I see you did make a great choice and got the Batch 9 - well done!! HA
Hey Paul! I finally got a pour of the Found North batch 9 and had to get it! Luckily I got it at a better price than I saw it the first time around so it was a win win all around 😆. What bottles were you able to find recently? Thanks a ton for your view and comment so quickly after video launch! Super appreciate it and cheers ~
Nice haul! Seems like the bourbon demand is still high, at least in socal area. For me, I got a KC pick and Bulleit rye for July. Definitely buying more than I'm drinking lol
Hey Danny! It seems for certain limited or hyped bottles, demand is still there but for unknown or overpriced ones... seems they are going on sale quickly. We'll see how the market turns out during the allocation season 😉. Thanks a ton for your view and comment so quickly after video launch! Super appreciate it and cheers ~
That's a great policy and one I wish I had the discipline to follow 🤣. But if the price increases on some of these limited edition bottles keeps up, I might have no choice. Have a wonderful day and cheers~
That's a decent bundle but I'll wait till it comes down even more 😁. As you can see, I got enough to drink while waiting 😉. But thanks for the information! Have a wonderful day and cheers ~
I passed on the Triumph and all the Heaven Hill. Could not find them for decent price. I also passed on the Smoke eye Hill ( didn’t want to pay for shipping). It has not showed up on the shelves here in my area. I did pick up the Russell’s 15 for a modestly over MSRP, and the Makers for MSRP. My best find was Stagg 24A for $55 a bottle.
Hey Scott! That's quite a haul with RR15, MM Heart, and the Stagg 24A for $55?? That's amazing 👏. Let me know your favorite after you had a couple pours of those beauties 👍. Thanks a million for your view and comment so soon after video launch! Truly appreciate it and cheers ~
Tough month. There's a lot of competition from guys looking for the latest and greatest pour not to mention all the flippers that want to grab as many as possible. But that's a totally different topic for another day. I am truly interested in your review of the Smokeye Hill. For the price ($70-$80) and the proof (131 pf) it drinks hot but I found with small sips a fella can drink it neat and get the great mouth feel and long finish without the dilution that comes with putting it on a rock. What a delicious pour and a hidden value. I feel it currently is a little under the radar, but probably not for long. Oh, and since we're talking about hidden gems, Nick over at "King's liquor" in Corona has a store pick of New Riff bourbon. It is absolutely a home run. At $60 and 112 pf mm mm good. If you like darker pours (and you know I do)... this is for you. Keep them coming my friend ! D
Hey Dana! I also can't wait to review the Smokeye Hill and see what the hype is all about! Hopefully I'll get going and produce some videos 🤣. I'm glad you found a nice store close to you as those are not easy to find 👍. Thanks a million for your view and comment so quickly after video launch as you always do 🥰. Have a wonderful day and cheers ~
Hey Marvin! I try to be logical but also just talk about my emotions and feeling at the time I saw the "deal" as I'm sure many people go through the same thoughts and feelings when they see a bottle...but the price is a tad high. Thank you so much for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers~
About the Smokeye Hill, I've since learned that judges did give it a composite score to send it into "finals" where it was then put head-to-head with GTS (and I think others) by a select few judges. So, they kind of did go directly against each other and after trying it, think that's kind of ridiculous.
Hey Dylan! That's what I heard. But with the amount of samples, I still don't want to say it "beat" the GTS, but outscored it 😆. I have done blinds with just 2 whiskeys and some with 6+.. and the order you take them make so much of a difference, I get different results every time I do it so I still will take this result with a grain of salt. But still amazing that it did out score the GTS and that's why I bought it 😄. I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
@@WhiskeyBank Yeah, I buckled and bought one too for 60 or 70 with a $10 coupon from Remedy. It's pretty good, but even next to Stagg it shows its youth. And I totally agree about blinds. Our palates are highly influenced by what we had before, and especially with barrel proof whiskeys, it's easy to overwhelm and blow out your entire palate in a few sips. You end up missing a lot of nuance. It's why I always tell people blinds are fun and interesting, but not remotely objective. It's also why I don't prescribe to the "opening up" or "neck pour" folk-wisdom, given how much our own palates are unreliable and change day by day. It's much more likely our palates and expectations change, not really the spirit.
@@dneuens I 100% agree with you on the "let it air out" or "let it open up" comments, all the air it needs is about 10 minutes in the Glen if it's a fresh pop 😉.
Nice bottles! I have three bottles of the Jack Daniels Heritage Rye and it’s awesome! I also picked up a Smoke Eye Hill(100.00) it’s pretty nice! Maker’s Heart(57.00) I thought wasn’t that special. Still looking for a Russell’s 15yr! I’ve heard nothing but good about all the newer KLUKE bottles. Cheers!
Hey Nick! Nice finds and three bottles of the JD Heritage Rye?? That's nice as now I'm afraid to open my new one as I know I'll finish it fast 🤣. All the K.Luke bourbons I had were wonderful and hopefully you'll be able to find one or try one soon! I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a million and cheers~
Hey Thomas! Wow! I see some stores where it's sitting for a day or two, but not too long after that. The price increases, especially above the $100 is really scaring some people, which is very fair. I might need to cut back and if you have seen my haul videos, it seems my "passed on" list is getting longer and longer, mostly due to the price increase 😥. I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
Hey Jay! That is a good one from what I'm hearing and I'm always pondering if I should join the join, but I buy too many bottles already so maybe I shouldn't 😆. Let me know how you think of the bottle! I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a million and cheers~
Good deal on the smoke eye hill , no go in michigan. Online places ran out fast. Years ago when I found something I liked i bought them by the case now you can't even find 1 bottle 😕 Good video as always friend 👍😉 Cheers 🥃
Hey Thomas! Just like me, even if you miss out the first time, I'm sure you'll be able to get it if you wait just a little bit 😆. It's not a limited release so they are releasing them as fast as they can so I'm sure you'll see it soon! I super appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thank you so much and cheers~
Hey Jeff! It seems unless it's the most anticipated or limited releases, waiting is the best as it is not that "limited" and I seem to be able to find them at MSRP after the initial "rush". Hopefully you found some great bottles as well~ I greatly appreciate you always viewing and commenting on my videos! Thank you so much and cheers~
I thought about that, but I also wanted to give the reasons separately on why I passed and why I purchased. It is an exception I have a bottle in both passed on and purchased list (two on this one 😆), but I'll change as needed and appreciate your feedback~ 🥰. I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a million and cheers~
Hey David! This is the first time I've stumbled onto your TH-cam channel. I really enjoyed the video and found it informative! Question, have you bought from online liquor stores and have you had good experiences from them? I've read horror stories about people getting different products from what they ordered or sites false advertise products being available when they aren't. Either way great work and keep it up!
That's a great question and only online order I have made was at seelbachs.com and it was perfect delivery. The stores I mentioned are legit and I know people who have ordered online from them and most were great experiences. Like all online and shipping, there are some bad experiences as well. Just make sure you get the web address from Google or a legit link as there are some ones who pretend to be the store and fraud people 😮💨. Thanks a ton for your view and question! Have a wonderful day and cheers ~
I've got a feeling I'm going to be sorry I passed on a deal on a couple Kluke products .It seems prices are getting outrageous I've said it before but there's too many choices to have to break the bank these days I can drink WT 101 ,Very Old Bartons 100 or Early Times BIB if I have to just saying.🥃👍
Hey Frank! I am very jealous you have the discipline to not overpay for any whiskeys 😆. I wish I had your will and not give into the FOMO. But it is something I absolutely enjoy so hopefully it'll be worth it at the end ✌. Thank you so much for you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch as you always do! I truly appreciate it and cheers~
@@WhiskeyBank I've had my fair share of treasures and still have a couple buried in my shelter but it just seems it's getting a little out of hand these days besides I have my wife who over pays for everything to make up for it lol .🥃
Hey Doc! Thank you for the wonderful compliment 🥰. I'm sure you'll get to that 2222 Subscribers soon! Thank you so much for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers~
Hey Bryan! Most of them do and it would be best to look at their websites to see what their policy is on shipping (costs, timing, etc.). I try my best to not get anything shipped so I can't tell you about any personal experience I had with shipping (only time was Seelbach's twice and both were great). Hope that helps! Have a wonderful day and cheers~
Hey Lawrence! Those are some wonderful bottles at fantastic prices! I'm super jealous 😆. Let me know your favorite once you had a pour of each 👍. Thanks a million for your view and comment so soon after video launch! Greatly appreciate it and cheers ~
You don't need to be a Costco member to buy alcohol there. You just tell them at the door you're buying alcohol and they'll let you in and you're allowed to buy any alcohol, but nothing else.
I have done that a couple of times, but the hassle of going in... getting the bottle... waiting in line.. and even at checkout, sometimes they need a manager to by pass the system. All for one bottle is just not worth it for me. Obviously there are some bottles that would be worth the hassle but those are long gone before I even know about it 🤣. Oh well. But thank you for the information! I truly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a ton and cheers~
@@WhiskeyBank The other hack is Costco gift cards. You don't need a membership to use their gift cards. Nor do you need manager approval. I was able to get a Triumph at Total Wine for $219.99 back in June. I also found it the beginning of this month at Safeway for $275 ($247 at 6 pack pricing) up here in the bay area.
I was lucky to get my grain to glass wheated for $95. It’s a good easy drinking bottle. Definitely not paying more than that. Also got my MM Heart for $75. Missed out on the Russell’s 15. Got a sample. A little oaky for me but I can see why people like it. I’ll pass for now.
Hey LeRone! Which one you like better? The HH G2G wheated or the MM heart? I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch! Thanks a million and cheers~
I have to be honest with myself and the viewer 😆. Gifts and all that is nice, but without honestly and fair reviews, my videos and my word would have no meaning and that would be the end of my channel. And I tell all parties when they send me anything that I will be 100% honest and there is no guarantee I'll even do a review, let alone drink it. Hope this helps~ Thank you so much for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers~

I'm laughing so hard at the Bros Liquors "shout out" these dudes are rip-off artists when it comes to anything remotely allocated. "Love" having them as my local liquor store.
Hey Fey! I agree most of their stuff is overpriced, but when they do have a nice bundle, I have to let people now. Hopefully things will settle down and the prices will start to come down a bit, but we'll see with the allocation and holiday season coming up. Thank you so much for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers~

Hey brotha where can I find a Weller full proof here in OC.
@@WhiskeyBank thank you brotha. I appreciate your help.
Keep an eye out for the Maker's Mark Heart Release at Costco. It was at the Fullerton location last week.
Hey Steve!
@@Atr0nCr0ss Nancy's pick! Dang... that's the one I want as well 😆
Agreed on all your passes but the 009.
Always look forward to this video. You picked up some really good bottles this past month. Like what KLuke did.
Hey Dave! Respect to Jonathan and the K.Luke team for doing what they did, especially after a review that wasn't great for them. I will absolutely be a fan and supporter of their brand as long as they continue to show the passion and love for whiskey like they do now 😄.

The Wild Turkey Master's Keep Triumph is going for $310 at my local Total Wine.
Hey Dean! Oof~~ That's a tough one and too expensive for me (as I still haven't had a pour 😆). Let's hope the prices come down somewhat as I do want to try it.
Thank you so much for you watching and commenting on my video so soon after launch as you always do! I truly appreciate it and cheers~
@@WhiskeyBank hey man. You won’t believe this. The wild turkey triumph sold out of my local Total Wine at $310 per. I couldn’t believe it.
You should compare the mm heart release to mm 46 cs. To me they are similar but the heart has the flavor dial turned up
Thanks for the prices and what you are looking for. Like i said don't buy it's high. I like to hear what is truly worth it and at what price.
That's a great policy and one I wish I had the discipline to follow 🤣. But if the price increases on some of these limited edition bottles keeps up, I might have no choice.
Have a wonderful day and cheers~
My local store in Monrovia CA has a bundle of Weller full proof and Heavens door cask strength store picks for $169.99
That's a decent bundle but I'll wait till it comes down even more 😁. As you can see, I got enough to drink while waiting 😉. But thanks for the information!

Are the Stagg 24a available yet in Ca?
It seems it is trickling in but I haven't seen any yet 😮💨

Great video. you are always so logical in your buys my friend, which is awesome. definitely some FOMO bundles. cheers my friend.
Hey Marvin! I try to be logical but also just talk about my emotions and feeling at the time I saw the "deal" as I'm sure many people go through the same thoughts and feelings when they see a bottle...but the price is a tad high.
Thank you so much for your view and comment! Greatly appreciate it and cheers~
@@WhiskeyBank I definitely have been more cautious on the purchasing and trying to not let FOMO get the better of me. Cheers my friend.
@@whiskeywine101 That's awesome. I have let FOMO win too many times 🤣

Grain to glass is just sitting on the shelf at the total wine near me
Hey Thomas!

Wonderful haul David. So smart to wait. It is my preference to not pay too much over msrp for the special releases as well. 🥃
Hey Jeff! It seems unless it's the most anticipated or limited releases, waiting is the best as it is not that "limited" and I seem to be able to find them at MSRP after the initial "rush". Hopefully you found some great bottles as well~

tip i would say missed or passed on a bottle that then you show you did get just cheaper seems redundant, Overall congrats on the haul!
