Welcome back. I still have not found the bookers reserve. I missed on the makers mark cellar aged. I was able to purchase a Booker infinite for MSRP, a 10 year Russell reserve from Camp Nelson B, a 10 year knob Creek store pick for $30, a Bakers 13 and a Bombergers.

Welcome back David! I was wondering if I should have picked up the infinite at Jim Beam for $200. I guess the old overholt 11 and peerless double oak rye will have to ease my "what if" mind. Had a nice score in Kentucky. I had planned on bringing home 5 bottles. Ended up cramming 10 bottles into the suit case. Jim Beam distillery was by far the hardest choices Infinite Little book Baker's 13 Knob creek 18 Hardens Creek Old overholt 11 OGD 16 (not getting that) I was already over budget so I tried to save some $$$ which it also forced me to pass on the Michter's 10 yr rye bundle for $280. The rest of my haul. Hand dripped MM heart release (no cellar aged to buy. I did get a pour at MM) Bardstown single barrel ( no disco 12) Filled my own ECBP at Heaven Hill Two four roses single barrel (forgot which of the two expressions) Eagle rare at buffalo trace daily drop Jimmy Russell 70th - can't wait to see the difference between the 8yr bottle from Korea. Cooper & Kings bourbon with Brandy finished barrel Time to save up again. This trip got my wife on board with KY. That Jimmy Russell is her bottle! She's hooked 🎉🎉🎉 Just have to allocate some days for horseback riding and horse betting.😮
With the bottles you got, I wouldn't worry too much about the Little Book Infinite 😆 I would have had a hard time choosing between Old Overholt Rye 11 and the Little book, but probably would have made the same choice you did. Once you do that comparison between WT 8 year 70th vs Korea version, let me know your thoughts! I truly appreciate your view and comment! Thank you so much and cheers~

I passed up the Little Book Infinite at $225 & the Bakers 13 for $145, but I did manage to score a Pursuit United Double Oaked Bourbon, so I’m happy. Headed to Lexington later this week, so hopefully I can find some good stuff to bring home. 👍

I hear ya on the WT12 but it is hard to come by and delicious so I would grab it even if it was 100USD :-). Great find on the MK, though. I am hoping to grab a back up of the 1L WTRB NCF while traveling this week. That is a great product for 80 SGD. The MMCA at LAX, was it 750 or 700ml? My nephew was in Japan a few weeks ago and he brought back several WT12. I would love to visit Korea and Japan in the future. Especially if WT products are available and some that are not available in the States.
The MMCA '23 was 700ml at LAX. I go to Korea to see family, eat great food, and drink a ton of soju, but Wild Turkey is icing on the cake~ Japan has a lot more options for whiskeys so that would probably be a better trip if that's a priority. Hey Todd! Your best bet will be any "Wine & More" in Seoul or "bottle bunker" at Seoul Station or Lotte Tower 2 (or close to it). But online is great with either GS25 app or CU app (the convenience stores). To sign up, you'll need a Korean ID, so I would ask a co-worker or friend as most likely, they'll have the app. Best of luck and hope you find something cool like me!

They are putting out some fantastic whiskeys right now... just wish their pricing was better and that would be my only issue with them. Scotch? Probably about once or twice a week. I'm probably restraining myself from having "too much" or liking it as if I got into Bourbons AND Scotch... I would either be broke, divorced, or both 🤣. I can get those Maker's Marks Cellar Aged for 185 euros. I got last year's for 145 euros. Have to pass on it. Get a Blantons straight from the Barrel for 145 instead.

Hey Nick! Best bet is to visit Bottle Bunker in Seoul Station or next to Lotte World Tower. Also, "Wine & More" stores in the Seoul areas also can be a good source. If you have a co-worker or family member that is Korean, you can ask to order online at CU or GS25 app, which would probably be your best bet. Hopefully this helps you. In VA, disco 12 was not allocated in VA ABC, so that I could pick up 3 x disco 12 at the store opening.

I'll be honest, I didn't find one WT13 and I did find a WT12 or two, but the prices were... high. Not going to complain about the Master's Keep but I did want the WT13 as it would have probably fit... but oh well. Maybe next year 🤣

I hear ya on the WT12 but it is hard to come by and delicious so I would grab it even if it was 100USD :-). Great find on the MK, though. I am hoping to grab a back up of the 1L WTRB NCF while traveling this week. That is a great product for 80 SGD. Found your channel only this year and dig the content, take care out there @WhiskeyBank !

Have been able to get all of them this year. Also, I have a buddy in Japan right now, getting some other Japanese only releases for me. Spec's called me today for Birthday Bourbon and Friday for the 13th Colony Double Oaked.

The MMCA at LAX, was it 750 or 700ml? My nephew was in Japan a few weeks ago and he brought back several WT12. I would love to visit Korea and Japan in the future. Especially if WT products are available and some that are not available in the States.
The MMCA '23 was 700ml at LAX. I go to Korea to see family, eat great food, and drink a ton of soju, but Wild Turkey is icing on the cake~ Japan has a lot more options for whiskeys so that would probably be a better trip if that's a priority.

Curious what stores you go to in Korea to find bourbon. I go every so often for work, but it was hard finding a shop with good selection.
Hey Todd! Your best bet will be any "Wine & More" in Seoul or "bottle bunker" at Seoul Station or Lotte Tower 2 (or close to it). But online is great with either GS25 app or CU app (the convenience stores). To sign up, you'll need a Korean ID, so I would ask a co-worker or friend as most likely, they'll have the app. Best of luck and hope you find something cool like me!

My favorite distillery? It's a close call but right now, it would have to be Wild Turkey. They are putting out some fantastic whiskeys right now... just wish their pricing was better and that would be my only issue with them.
Scotch? Probably about once or twice a week. I'm probably restraining myself from having "too much" or liking it as if I got into Bourbons AND Scotch... I would either be broke, divorced, or both 🤣. Maybe someday I'll get into Scotch in a deeper way, but for now, just can't do it.

I can get those Maker's Marks Cellar Aged for 185 euros. I got last year's for 145 euros. Have to pass on it. Get a Blantons straight from the Barrel for 145 instead.

Hey Nick! Best bet is to visit Bottle Bunker in Seoul Station or next to Lotte World Tower. Also, "Wine & More" stores in the Seoul areas also can be a good source. If you have a co-worker or family member that is Korean, you can ask to order online at CU or GS25 app, which would probably be your best bet. Hopefully this helps you.

The Bourbon Junkies gave a thumbs down to the Makers Mark 2024 Cellar Aged so maybe it was a blessing in disguise that you missed out on it.
Maybe... but I do really like Maker's Mark, but you're right. I should be more patient. I'm sure I'll be able to find it close to MSRP.
