    Thank you so much! I was really struggling to get the UI as a texture to use in my material, all tutorials I found just applied similar shaders to models or postprocess volume and couldn't find anything that worked with the UI Material Domain

    That works delightfully. Thanks!

    Thank you! Was looking online how to add post process type effects to UI (Mainly to add colour banding to fit the rest of game visuals) but everywhere people just said it can't be done unless you place the UI in scene.

      @MIKELENZTIPS And the funny thing is that this vid came up from a yt recommendation, not when I was searching for solutions. You got a new sub

    Great showcase there Mike ! also could you perhaps reference some educational material on how to make complex materials like these ?

    Hi Mike,
    it will be nice to show how to create from scratch this widget as well ! :)

      Hi Hervus. Yes I might do that - I do have a widget playlist which shows ‘some’ ways to construct widgets. Hope it helps M

    a tutorial on building this shader from scratch would be great or if you could send me the uasset, i'm new to shaders and really would like to dive into this thing :D

      It’s all there. Just copy it :) - if you don’t know about Material Parameter Collections. Watch my video on those and create your own to bring into the shader.

    Hi Mike, really loving your UMG series. Would love to see you do a video on UMG navigation. I've been struggling for a while with how to navigate between widgets placed in separate containers (e.g. vertical boxes) and it seems like custom navigation is inevitable... but I have got to believe there is a better solution. Thanks.

      Can you expand upon what you are trying to achieve and I’ll have a think M

    Hi Mike(same mike lol), thank you for showing these. But I do have a question that when I use retainer box to warp the screen, the buttons are offset from it original hit box, for this kinds of issue, do you have any idea on how to fix it?

    • @MIKELENZTIPS
      @MIKELENZTIPS  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it’s just a screen effect so that will happen - so it’s a balancing act - between not overdoing the effect - or you could make the hit area larger than the visual representation. A bit of a hack but would give more consistent results

      This is a very old video so not sure where the assets are. Just create your own as placeholders
