I'm a CREATIVE DIRECTOR with over 30 years experience as a Designer, Collaborator, Mentor & Educator.

I love the Game instance for Options and such shinanigans. Or for Player made Characterclasses, Races etc (i am doin a RPG,) I load the ones i provide, via a Dataset, and load the Playercontent via a specific save, and combine it in the GI. With this i can keep all the other things clean :)

Thank you so much! I was really struggling to get the UI as a texture to use in my material, all tutorials I found just applied similar shaders to models or postprocess volume and couldn't find anything that worked with the UI Material Domain
Can I keep viewing it constantly updating during simulation?
That can be hit and miss - you are better having a second viewport and set it to the camera view

How are you defining an array of strings in the Sheets?
The best way to understand formatting - is create a data table and export that as a .csv - then you’ll know how to format all you variable types

I dont know why, but vertex color doesnt works. font material always in multiply color mode :(
It still works in 2024 with unreal 5.

I would like to share my problem, so I used instance editable to give custom values to my actors, when I launch the game, I modify these values, at the end I save my actors as references in my save, but when I restart, my values have returned to the one I had defined before launching the game, is there a solution ?
