Raghavendra was employed in a bakery 33 years ago when he decided to set up a small business on his own. His original thought was to set up a stationery store requiring minimal capital, but given his interest in food, he began experimenting with all sorts of snacks and condiments and soon hit upon combinations of chaat. Thus was born Harshini Condiments in a tiny bylane of Ravindra Nagar in Shimoga. The fare here is chaat but in a healthier avatar. Think ingredients like fresh fenugreek, banana stem, cabbage, pomegranate, corn, et al tossed together with savoury elements of crunch and punchy homemade chutneys. Creations that are not only wholesome but also hit home in the flavour department. A must try for street food lovers when in Shimoga! Happy eating!
Nippat Masala
8/10
Menthye Soppu (fresh fenugreek) masala
10/10
Bread Masala
8.5/10
Corn Masala

Mirinda Masala

The items we tasted were priced between Rs. 50 to Rs. 60, we paid Rs. 450 in all for about 6 to 7 chaats and 3 drinks.

Our favourite place in Shimoga !! Must visit place from our Childhood!! Nothing beats their taste & they have maintained same taste from many years!!
In an age where the oh-so called "Food Vloggers" who are seen just irritating the shop owners with the 'Ye kya dala hai' question and just orgasming over the unhealthy quantities of cheese and butter added to any stupid creation...Kripal Sir is a breath of fresh air.
He has not only immense knowledge about food and ingredients but also his videos never feel rushed, unnecessary or poorly produced. He goes to an eatery, enjoys (or not) the food, gives his detailed analysis about its taste and speaks to the owners about the food and the history of the eatery in a very friendly and polite manner.
This is how food vlogging should be done. Period!
💯 Correct
It's good to see the son and daughter helping the father. ❤
The owner uncle is so simple and nice :)
I love it when simple and good people start their own business with courage
May he get more successful by the day !
This is my favourite eatery I will never miss this place when I go to shimoga ❤
Great Kripal sir, for promoting so many food vendors across Karnataka.
Absolutely no Food vlogger like you, Mr. Amanna. In a world of youtube shorts which explore 10 dishes in 60 seconds, with so much hype and music, your videos are sooooo relaxing and refreshing to watch. I guess someone should tell you to "Take care, stay safe, stay strong, and happy eating!"
Godspeed!
We enjoy your comments Kripal sir, using mix of English & kannada slang, we always love your comments & also how you motivate the shop owner's, hats off to you Sir
The most remarkable thing about this channel is the manner in which the taste is explained by Kripal Sir in a story format with a definitive beginning and end! Heartwarming episode :)
Heard so much about chats of Shimoga
These look delicious thanks for the video
This was such a wholesome video with genuinely simple but delicious dishes. Thank you Kripal sir for introducing this to us audience and have a sense of respect for such humble and delicious creations.
Lovely creations by the owner of the small enterprise and good job done Kripal by encouraging these small traders who are so talented to get noticed and shine in their lives ..... God bless you with good mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health ..... om nama sivaya
Super taste, very hygiene & Healthy.
Good afternoon dear Kripal - Looks like yet another local Chaat vlog . Thanks to Prasanna to help you find this hidden gem - Harshini Condiments 👍 3 decades old outlet started by Mr Raghavendra and all unique chaat items . I remember a small shot of you on SM nibbling on the Nippat Masala . We call Nippatu as Thattai and I just had one Thattai a few minutes ago 😋 The Nippat masala is something I would definitely like to try . Looks delicious 😋 Loved the preparation of the Fenugreek Masala . I agree it’s a healthy chaat . Possibly a dash of lime would have given it some acidity and to amp the flavour . I am sure after your visit to the eatery they will have loads of customers and eventually move into a bigger place . The power of Kripal 👍 The bread masala has the same combo ingredients as that of the Nippat Masala . Time for sweet corn masala by the Engineer-to-be son Pradyumna . I really like the Corn Masala 😋 Miranda Masala is my favourite as well . “Sahi mein Mazaa Aa Gaya” . Thoroughly enjoyed this unique vlog and once again am confident that Harshini Condiments would be flooded with customers . Take care , stay safe and healthy. Loads of love and respect 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kripal being in Shivamogga you did showcase variety of eatery starting from Sweet House, Chaats. Breakfast menu and now different low profile but yet healthy Chaat amazing country great culinary tastes and treats fits every pocket. Thank you for showcasing such small enterprises 🙂

Now we all have shifted to different places but nevertheless make sure to come and have these amazing chaats atleast once in 3 months.. Now even our kids love this to the core and we are more than happy to have them indulge in these unique dishes. So glad you found this hidden gem😊

Do you share the earnings to the people who actually help with your content?
I love your channel and agree with your takes mostly. But how are these healthy? The amount of butter and salt and fried ingredients!!! And the sugary carbonated drinks!! Just adding some raw methi in one snack, does not make it a healty place.
You seem to have only observed the butter and the carbonated drink, and missed out all the other fresh ingredients that goes into each one of their preparations, that imo makes it relatively healthier than typical chaat options. cheers!
Shimoga is the first place where I cleared my college studies I enjoyed every good hotel there
