Well done, George! Nicely restored! I love tracking the history of these old vintage pieces. One of my favorite things to do is track the history of just about all antique tools, trying to find old photos of them being put to use, seeing how people lived and worked and the tools they used to make life a little easier. And off course, old, rare pocket knives have a special place in my heart. Thanks for the history lesson and for restoring that old work horse!
George, you took a knife most people would not want and made it a knife most people would want! It cleaned up very well and you fixed the abuse it took as well, very cool! You are constantly improving and learning and evolving, as well as impressing the heck out of me lol! Which may or may not be hard to do lmao!

Very nice clean up The sheffield knife Sheffield is a town in england and the factury is stil there Richards knives I like thiz knives Nice george Thanks J J from NL🇳🇱
This knife has all the hall marks of a kitchen drawer knife lol. I was wondering about the edge. Coated blades are a pain lol. I'm surprised. Be careful having fun lolol. Well done George !
Some call the shape a cigar knife, these Richard's knives remind me aa lot of Imperials based on the construction quality I suspect a budget knife in their day, I suspect that your sharpening tool can clean up that dean up that edge just have to take off some metal to straighten it up but there is plenty there and I bet the carbon steel will take a very keen edge You did good George it came out much better, you are an artist
Yep, was considered a budget knife. Be safe stay warm

You talked me into getting a jug of Evapo-rust. Hope my cats don't fancy it, do you keep merry away from it? I plan on keeping it out of their reach and sealed. The knife looks great, I have one from the German co. Richardz. It is a single blade and has the spouting whale tang stamp; that was the reason I bought it, never saw one.
Thorough job on that old boy. You gave that knife new life. Great video.
Thankyou sir appreciate the support as always be safe
