Finally, a great idea for the very bottom of the inside! A clean, small paint brush or makeup brush, ingenious! Thank you!

I toasted onion and garlic bagels. Ever since, my house stinks whenever I toast something. I think some of the onion and/or garlic bits got stuck on the toaster wires. I’ll try your cleaning method. Thanks!

I actually use a letter opener with a taped napkin wrapped around it. I also think a straw cleaning brush would also work.

Just wondering if a toaster like this one that has no lid is hygienic. I have mine which I haven't cleaned and used for a year, so was looking for some videos on how to clean it thoroughly, but I doubt cleaning like this is enough. Maybe I'll just get rid of it and buy a new air fryer oven, which can do almost everything including toasting plus it's easier to clean... Wheeew.

If I broke half a smal metal like the wall parts a small piece came of it folded will the toaster still work

I have a sears toaster from 1960 with old heating elements. I’ve found the similar heating elements in a iron from 1950 that was crumbled away. I am afraid to get the elements wet they have no protection over them it’s just a fragile plate. This toaster was outside for three years and still works I was thinking of taking it apart and putting the metal bits to keep the bread from hitting the elements in some vinegar and baking soda before cleaning them. I do not want rusty toast with stink bugs and cob webs. Should I do this or is there an easier way?
