So, I just started watching the video and saw the baking soda and vinegar and that's the paste I put into mines. Of course, then I read the comments and see almost everybody saying, NO, baking soda and water paste. But, going to leave it in for a day or two and then try your vinegar scrub. I've tried everything on mines, including steam cleaning, to get that brownish stain out. It's actually pretty new looking on the inside, I just want to remove that brownish stain in the back. We'll see what happens. Thanks so much for this tip!
Toaster oven manuals, that I've seen, tell us we should NOT use foil on the crumb tray. It reflects heat back onto the heating elements. That can cause problems, including over heating. Different situation from lining a sheet pan to keep cookies from sticking. PLEASE READ YOUR TOASTER OVEN MANUAL!! Don't take my word for it.
I enjoyed seeing you do this. Next time make the paste of just baking soda with a few drops of dawn and water. Let it sit for a whole, only 30 minutes or so to break down the grease. Then wet a sponge or scrubber with vinegar. Then the chemical reaction happens on the gunk, not in the mixing bowl. At least that's how it works for me. Still, all in all, oven cleaner makes your life much easier and requires a whole lot less elbow grease. 😁
I tried using this degreaser I purchased from Amazon. Worked alright but the major stains didn’t budge. Now, I’m going to be using a wire wheel drill attachment & it’ll remove anything! I’m confident that will work like a charm.
Great job. I've struggled with this myself having used toaster ovens for years. Most--if not all--are not made with the glazed ceramic coatings of full-sized ovens, so even using canned oven cleaner leaves stains on the mostly aluminum interior. Also, appreciated your use of time-lapse photography and soothing background music for the video.
I have a similar problem. The dramatic music and the 2 day "break" 😂 I'm currently on my 2nd break and losing ideas and patience. But I loved your trial and error. I will go try again.
Hi!!! Congrats on your new toaster oven, they're awesome right! Yes, cleaning it once a month is very smart haha just don't let it build up like mine🤣💖
I'm glad I watched this... I noticed you didn't specify the proportions of the ingredients, but you adjusted them accordingly and got the job done... now, I'm off to do mine.
I take a dishwasher tablet, the hard ones, and wet it just a little bit and use it like a scrub brush. it takes all the burnt marks off the bottom tray and glass super quick.
You needed to let it sit with the paste for a few hours and then scrub, and not with a toothbrush. Also after you clean the tray the best you can and put foil on it so next time you just have to change the foil not scrub the tray.
I wouldn’t combine vinegar and baking soda. It chemically cancels out each other. Use baking soda and water for a paste or just vinegar alone That’s why it works when she just uses vinegar
Haha yes I am! I'm glad you liked it!! I couldn't believe it and after all this time I could have been using a clean toaster oven🤣. Thank you so much for your support and for watching it!💖

Baking soda and vinegar cancel each other out. Baking soda and some kind of liquid will make a semi-abrasive paste, but not very abrasive. If you want a stronger effect you can buy concentrated industrial strength vinegar that's nine times stronger than regular old distilled vinegar. Just be careful, you don't want to get that on your skin 😅 But what I really think did the trick in your case if I'm not mistaken you're using a magic eraser... Those things are super crazy good at getting stuff off. They're way more abrasive than just a paste of baking soda. Assuming I'm not mistaken and that's not just a lot of paper towels or something
Soak your tray and grates in very hot water…..using liquid vim and a steel wool scrubby works like a charm ….also wiping your door tray and grates after each use does not get you to the trouble your in…..
Mixing baking soda killed the acidity of the vinegar. Baking soda is a base. While it might be a mild abrasive, you are canceling out any chemical reactions.
Just wanted to point out that it's only the case when you use equal parts of both. If you make a "paste" (more baking soda, less vinegar) or use more vinegar than baking soda, it works pretty well. www.livescience.com/why-baking-soda-vinegar-clean.html In cleaning my toaster oven, I sprayed vinegar (carefully) into the inside and on the parts, let it sit for a while (I let it set for like an hour, but I'm pretty sure you don't need that long depending on how dirty your oven is), and came back at it using baking soda as if it was Comet cleaner 😆. I used water to keep the baking soda from being too dry as I used it, but I didn't have to work too hard and it worked great!

Hey Melanie! Happy Saturday my friend, that was just a normal scrub pad I used in this video! I will try the magic eraser in my next toaster oven video and see how it turns out. Thank you for watching my friend! 💖😊
I tried this and have the cleaning paste stuck in some deep hard to reach cracks and crevices. Would it be safe to just leave it there and continue using my toaster oven?
I bought an Aria 10 qt. Air fryer (has 3 wire racks) from a lady off of Facebook Marketplace for $30 (new it costs $100+ ), and it's in great condition, except for some stuck on burnt grease inbetween the metal wires on the racks. I've tried everything to get it off and nothing has worked! Iv'e tried white vinegar + baking soda, heating the racks up with dawn powerwash on them, letting them soak overnight in hot water + dawn, "The pink stuff" and just about everything else I could think of! Lol And none have worked! I'm at a loss.. I was wondering if you had any ideas that maybe I haven't tried yet?? Thank You!!
So sorry to let you down I don't have any tips, and please excuse the late response but I hope you found a solution that worked best for you my friend! ☺
Did I miss something? I thought you were doing vinegar and baking powder to start. Were you doing water too I'm so confused! So straight white vinegar works of course you are not going to answer me and I need to do this today!
Next time, make your paste, apply and let it set for several hours. Once completely dry, use dry toweling and elbow grease. Once you've made your first past, give yourself a break, then reapply and repeat.
I'm sure I could. I do have oven cleaner but I wanted to give a healthier way a try lol it wasn't a bad turnout. I hope this was helpful. Thank you so much for watching!🤗
@@NaynaHomeMoreCleaning Don't use oven cleaner on a toaster oven of any sort. The materials used in toaster ovens are lighter and thinner than a regular oven and will strip the surface of the inside. Also, toaster ovens tend to have more nooks and crannies to clean than a normal oven, so good luck in cleaning that stuff out of one. I'm all for using oven cleaner on an oven (and on pots and pans NOT made of aluminum), but using it on something that you can't wash and rinse out thoroughly that has such a close proximity to your food is not a good idea. This method for your toaster oven was the way to go.👍🏽
@@Nikkah4evah Thank you for the tips, I have oven cleaner but I never use it because of the strong chemicals and my children are always next to me but I have seen people use oven cleaner in a toaster oven but because of the chemicals I wanted to try the method I used in this video and it worked just as good! Thank you for the great information Kool2BeMe! ❤🤗
@@NaynaHomeMoreCleaning You're welcome! 😁 Admittedly when I have used oven cleaner on pots and pans, it's mostly on the outside to get rid of that brown coating (mostly) or occasional black burnt-in areas on the bottom. It's also good for de-greasing glass surfaces that may end up with grease build-up (like glass lids or cookware). But I'm looking to use other things now. Even using the "fume free" stuff still tends to be too much when it comes to the fumes (I also heat up the items a bit before I spray it on, so that might be why). But darn it - it works so dang well! 😖😄
Aww, haha thank you! Your mother in law will love it and be amazed at the difference once she tries a little baking soda and white vinegar✨🙌❤️ I was shocked!Lol
I just used a copper scouring pad and it worked better than the scotch brite pad, but you must wear gloves or your nails get full of gunk( I learned the hard way)
Yes, I film at night and this video was filmed at about 12 AM, I put my children to sleep and set up my filming area and lights, and sometimes that can take over an hour to get the right lighting and positions. So I let it sit until the next night about around the same time. I hope you enjoyed the video! Have a happy and safe weekend and Month! 🙏🤗
Maybe this is not progress to you, and yes it doesn’t look brand new again but it felt much better using it after carefully cleaning it than using it while it was a mess. But don’t give up people and maybe try other methods if this doesn’t work for you! Thank you for watching and commenting ☺️

Did I miss something? I thought you were doing vinegar and baking powder to start. Were you doing water too I'm so confused! So straight white vinegar works of course you are not going to answer me and I need to do this today!
I'm so sorry I couldn't get back to you in time, I hope everything turned out fine for you 😩
Next time, make your paste, apply and let it set for several hours. Once completely dry, use dry toweling and elbow grease. Once you've made your first past, give yourself a break, then reapply and repeat.
Thanks for the tip Jennifer!
Amazing!
Thank you so much Eva!❤️
Very good
Thank you so much!😃
Cant you use oven cleaner ?
I'm sending this to my mother in law because her toaster oven is 😳
Aww, haha thank you! Your mother in law will love it and be amazed at the difference once she tries a little baking soda and white vinegar✨🙌❤️ I was shocked!Lol
scotch brite pad and stainless steel cleanser or Ajax works faster
Thanks for the tips Bill! 😊
I just used a copper scouring pad and it worked better than the scotch brite pad, but you must wear gloves or your nails get full of gunk( I learned the hard way)
Use those instead of white vinegar and baking soda?
2 days?
Yes, I film at night and this video was filmed at about 12 AM, I put my children to sleep and set up my filming area and lights, and sometimes that can take over an hour to get the right lighting and positions. So I let it sit until the next night about around the same time. I hope you enjoyed the video! Have a happy and safe weekend and Month! 🙏🤗
Ty
Thank you!!
Looks like she also used a magic sponge.
Just cover the tray with foil.
Thank you!😊
Try not to get the dials wet.
Haha yes, this is true! Thank you so much for watching!❤️🤗
Good video. It shows what a total waste of time and energy these things are. This is not progress people. ;)
Maybe this is not progress to you, and yes it doesn’t look brand new again but it felt much better using it after carefully cleaning it than using it while it was a mess. But don’t give up people and maybe try other methods if this doesn’t work for you! Thank you for watching and commenting ☺️
3333 YEARSSSSSS??????????? ..thats crazy, i would toss it in garbage, those is cheap Toaster ovens
I’m happy for you my friend! I have an updated video if your interested in more ☺️

Girl you need gloves on. Thanks 🙏🏾 for sharing!
Lol, I totally would if my nails were done. I always clean with baking soda, vinegar, and Dawn dish soap, I think my hands have gotten used to it! 😆
