I had to smile when you said, "12 string plus fuzz, who knew?". I used a fuzz pedal with my Hagstrom 12 string back in 1967. It was just as much fun for me as you seem to be having!
The neck and neck joint are able to handle the pull of 12 strings when left in standard E tuning (as opposed to having to tune down a 1/2 step or full step) ? Curious, as I'm not one to tune down as many 12 strings require.
The bridge tone on this particular model sounds WAY better than the one in the other model. It has a chime to it. It’s actually pretty close to the Rickenbacker sound.

as an owner of a Dano '59-12, I was intrigued by how well this new Dano 12 sounds. Looks like I'll need to upgrade! This Electric 12 String Guitar is easier to play than an Acoustic 12 String because the action is lower, the neck is smaller, and the strings are lighter gauge and are under lower tension.
Ryan, hope u might be able to answer this about dan-os, I have a 56 u-3 reissue, just bought it & found out the bridge is toast. is it even possible to modify so that I could put on a vega-trem or Wilkinson trem/whammy bridge? Nice pickup combination for sure. The guitar looks good to me. I just don't know why every guitar maker besides Rickenbacker goes with high strings on top. It's never "quite right" to me.
