Bro. This just became my favorite channel, man. I’ve been watching the channel here and there but now I feel committed lol mad props. Seems like the videos are made for the people 🙌🏻
I have a 1991 dodge stealth rt tt I just found your series on this vr4 3sx will help you with a bunch of oem and aftermarket stuff for your vr4 I saw you have play in your shifter they sell solid brass shifter bushings I can't wait to see what you guys do with this
Great video! Excited to this myself...might I add that when attempted PLEASE WEAR SAFTEY GLASSES WITH THS PAINT REMOVAL APPLICATION. :) Thanks for the help
That came out super nice with the spark plug cover and oil cap matching the brushed aluminum looking letters super well. That chapstick tip is awesome.
Great job Evan. I remember trying to paint my Non-VTEC 1.3 liter Honda CRX valve cover 15 years ago and how bad a job I did. I wish I had this video to inspire and show me how it's done. I subscribed after seeing this.
That looks great - if I'm honest I thought the spark plug cover looked a bit naff when it went on in your last video, but now you've done the valve cover too it looks amazing. I recently got a TT GTO... Guess what job just got added to my 'to-do' list!
Mad props ! I used regular paint Honda and Acura and not issues. I stress valve cover must be free of grease. Strip wash use brush. Prep is 90% of work.
Looks sick with the dress up kit and the brushed aluminum look on letters nice job! Thanks for the video and keep em coming helping low budget people work on thier cars. :)
should have done the intake manifold and rear valve cover all at the same time. from another vr4 owner. makes the engine bay look much better and other 3kgt owners can tell you went the extra mile to do everything right. most people will not look for the rear valve cover but "we" will.
If you have time, should you bake on the paint in the oven? or waving a heat gun? Or will the engine heat baking on being sufficient? Great video. I am going to do this with my Goldwing GL1800 valve covers.
Man I wish my 96 3000GT looked as good as yours! Ive got a few bezels missing in the interior a weird cave in on the bumper a failed smokey attempt on the tail lights, marker lights and thats from the previous owners... they were not nice to it... so ive got a expensive project...
Dude you need to take the exhaust manifold off and run a wire brush on it to make it look a bit newer, it would match your newly painted head you just did such a nice job on. Its funny, when you were painting it on the cardboard, it looked a totally different color it ended up being on the car. when it was on the cardboard it looked a bit bland, but once you got it on the car it looked OEM in a sense but like new also. New OEM i guess you could say..
All this engine dress up but you didn't degrease the bay. I'd do that, then install the new shiny stuff while having a clean area to work in. Love the car
I know the rear rocker cover is pretty hidden but it just seems half assed to not do that one too. When’s the gearbox getting done? I would have thought that would be the first thing fixed over all these small bits and pieces.
Need new parts this Spring + support real car guys? We’ll hook it up store.throtl.com we pricematch boys! 🙏🏼👌🏼
Old school with the chapstick. Hadnt seen that in yrs. Cover turned out great! Looks brand new
I wasn't digging the color too much till I saw it with the bare letters and the silver plate on it. It looks sexy

Love the way you present your video. Am going to do my 88 Vette covers tomorrow. Going to follow you step by step. Thank you so much
Man that looks fresh! It turned out really really good!

Great job bringing some life into that 3000GT !
Dang! great job man! 👍
Evan love this message.
Wow that end result looks great 👍🏻
Do you need to drain all the oil out before taking the cover off?
Awesome valve cover paint tutorial! I'll keep watching until I see that finished GTO! Keep up the good work!
That was so informative it couldn't of been anymore than how u said to do every step.. very great content

NICE TIP ON THE CARMAX! I've always used tape or sand the letters, this is awesome!
Evan, you gotta do something with that intake manifold now dude. Looks bunk with the awesome new paint on the valve cover. Good job man
I put the valve gasket before the paint job using the dental floss technique. It just made it easier for me to do it in one day.
Evan does it again! Awesome job!
A little tip. Have the valve cover sandblasted. Cheap, clean and you don't have to use chemicals.
The color came out great!
LOOKS SICK!
Damn that shit looks real good

The colour looks sick, love mickeys ad at the end 😂 keep the great videos coming guys
u guys should do a super clean to the engine bay...give it some new tubing...and its gonna slay !!
Wow that looks great man, that’s amazing
B is for build did the lettering stuff as well
Maybe it was edited, but did you use the rtv where it was supposed to be used? Otherwise it will seep oil.
That valvecover is lit!
Another AMAZING JOB!!! Linda into that jazzy-ish trumpet for the reveal, what is that?
Looks really good!
Just subscribed! Damn cool project, make sure to paint the intake manifold too, wrinkle black would look really good!
I love it I'm going do it on my 93 stealth 💕💕
If you have time, should you bake on the paint in the oven? or waving a heat gun? Or will the engine heat baking on being sufficient? Great video. I am going to do this with my Goldwing GL1800 valve covers.
"You can see the primer through the primer" 😄😄
Evan buddy that looks great nice job 👍😊

Can I use caliper paint since it’s high temp, I really don’t want to buy new stuff
I wish I knew about the carmax trick before i did my valve cover
All this engine dress up but you didn't degrease the bay. I'd do that, then install the new shiny stuff while having a clean area to work in. Love the car
I need this in my life rn :O
Should the paint be heat resistant?
can you paint plastic valvecovers? the car is an opel omega 3.2v6. it has plastic kinda covers?
0:23 name of the fatman scoop remix?
this shit really burns. i got some on my hand the first time i did this and ever since then i wear 4 pairs of gloves because it burns through gloves
looks mint
Great job!

+Nstg8a we are still waiting on the clutch to come in so doing some of the small stuff while we wait.
I like the car ex trick. Back in the day we put Vaseline on with your finger tip. After everything is cured you just wash it off.
That hat tho. You guys have any in stock?

Do tj’s 2j in the 350
Will this melt a fiberglass bumper?
Do you need to drain all of the oil out before taking the cover off?
no lol, when your car is off all the oil is drained into your oil pan
Do the headlights
what if you left the cover on and just masked off everywhere around it & just painted over the old coat a paint with new coats?
Carmex, you sir are a fucking genius!
Great job.
Make a video cleaning the bay
Do u need a new gasket if you take it off and paint it
Hot Damn the valve cover looks amazing.
You should paint the mitsubishi logo on the valve cover red
'Im just ganna keep moving forward... nice meme."
Throw some clear coat over that open aluminum
i just found a simular car here in norway, and it cost around 20000dollars or 180 000nok
Wow bay area buggs intro song
nice good job
hell ya Evan
I did everything as instructed, but once tightening the bolts,it tore the paint.
😍 dreamy
Don’t use chapstick if it is hot out. It melted down the lettering and I had a bad time.
Hey guys, need help on my 3000gt SL 92. Hit me up when you get this.
I painted mine with same engine Paint and it all just cracked and flakes off
Make the Mitsubishi emblem red
Make more how to vids 😁
That engine needs a flushing bad judging by the inside of that cover.
I was gonna comment on that sludge.
Awesome
LOL you used a shit load of that aircraft stripper. Should have installed an AN fitting into the valve cover while it was off.
The only problem with clear coat is that it turns yellow
Paint the intake manifold
if the cover gets to even 400 degrees the paint will be the least of your worries
Niceee meme 😂
looked better before, also it didn't really need work compared to many other parts of the car.
14:07 shit this music makes me laught. its like you done whole project but this is only fkin head cover!
Thats an odd shade of red
Ahhh the ol Auto zone channel. I mean throtl 🙄
