Two years ago I was a morbidly obese Type 2 Diabetic. In July '22 I came across a podcast of a presentation from Gary Fettke.
For the first time I learnt that T2D could be reversed by eating a Low Carb High Fat diet! I began following it immediately.
In three months my HbA1c dropped from 9.0 to 6.2. My last reading was 5.2 & I'm down 45kg!

Grateful thanks from a newly converted and very grateful grateful LCHF eater who only a year ago been told by a well respected and influential dietician that I must keep up the carbs for every meal and eat 6 times a day!! I knew that the diet and statins were hurting me but didn't know who to trust. Please know your message is being heard, your work is life-changing

Thank you for addressing how crap the Australian Guidelines are! I realised this when I was gestational but everyone around me kept telling me I should eat what I'm told to. I ended up with type 2 5 years later. I've had to do an elimination diet to prove to people these foods were going to eventually kill me. It makes me sad watching my family egnore me and try to enable me to eat food I shouldn't! These videos are helping me hang in there with the keto and helping me get those 5 years of my life back.

I very much appreciate Dr. Westman's calm and serious approach to educating the masses. I am a rather hyper person and I find listening to Dr. Westman's TH-cam videos to be very calming. I should listen before I have my blood pressure measured during my doctor's appointments. I am certain that it would be less, even if I had to race to the clinic from the bus stop.

@@denisea.9033 i wish that Dr. Westman would use a teleprompter to reduce the inarticulate bits in his delivery. However, Dr. Westman is a very busy man conducting research, supervising medical and possibly graduate students (my assumption), and treating patients. He also has a family. so the time he takes in his busy schedule to explain the low-carbohydrate diet to new viewers is valuable. You may also be someone who is used to listening to relatively complex material. Remember that many of the people who most need to improve their heath are not necessarily well educated on health topics. Speaking slower allows these people to assimilate the information the first time Dr. Westman articulates his thoughts.

Two weeks on a low carb diet eating eggs, cheese meat and low carbon veggies and good oils.
Blood pressure 125/85 Very little reflux down to 1 nexium every 3 days. My energy is up and my mood is much better.

The Catholic nuns that worked in my elementary school did not work with fear. The message was that the main things that humans had to do to be saved was to treat other humans well. You were expected to accept God and Jesus as a God, but far more time was spent on how taking care of the poor and suffering was how God would judge Catholics.

It is really depressing to think I've been so sucked in by a bunch of strange ideas promoting the eating of poor foods. I can accept the money making insidious influence but that the crazy people have had so much influence is frustrating. My father turned out to be right, the food pyramid was nonsense. Unfortunately, mum controlled the meals, and read the magazines etc. The difference in my health after switching to Keto is fantastic. Wife also. Experimenting with carnivore but think will settle on Keto. Friends think we are crazy, yet we can see how Keto would help their illnesses (including diabetics). I think the truth will out due to the fact Keto works. It will be harder and harder for the food industry to dismiss the evidence. You can already see them attempting to disparage Keto with real crap studies - they just want the headlines to continue the myths.

1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

As a Christian and a nutrition consultant, I find it ridiculous to restrict eating meat. I see it clearly as part of God's good design for us.
