I got a Novation mini synth, around a year ago,
They're definitely worth experimenting with,
They can add a layer to any style of music,
I know a local bluegrass jam - band here in the
Blue Ridge Mountains that even uses one , to surprisingly amazing effect!
I use one (synth, virtual or analogue) almost every song I record nowadays, 90%, in some way or another !

The MicroBrute has a knob for every function. I know that sounds obvious, but I learned synthesis on a Microkorg and there’s a bunch of menus diving and scrolling you need to do to change a single parameter. Here you just grab the parameter you want to change and twist it.
