The Microbrute was actually my first hardware synth at the age of 42. I grew up playing guitar and didn't get into synthesizers until VSTs. Three years and a few synths later and I still love my Microbrute. Great job demonstrating how versatile it is!
This demo is simply OUTSTANDING!! What an amazing, beautiful and truly haunting Berlin track you got out the MicroBrute! I've listened to it three times now and it's really given me a new zest for my own MicroBrute. Big thanks for recording this!!
On holiday in Japan lying awake with all of the jet lag. This is not helping me sleep but is a lot more entertaining than watching the clock move soooo slowly. But I am near a big music store in Kyoto ~ so who knows what I can get away with buying and blame it on jet lag.
I picked one up for £125 used, love it. I have it connected with cv to the moog Mavis. I have a Maschine plus connected to iPad Pro and I sequence from AUM or Maschine+
I’m a fan of Berlin School style electronic music and what your doing with this fantastic instrument fits the bill. BTW, I attended a concert last night featuring Ian Boddy. Great show!
Brilliant jam. I laid my eyes yesterday on a used one for €200, I already have the Mini. The great thing about the bigger brother's sequencer is the Swing knob ;)
I was looking at this very synth (yes it was even the red one) on eBay this morning and I was very tempted. The problem is I already own the Minibrute 2S that can do everything this can do - and a little bit more besides. It is very tempting though and had it been the blue one I would've probably bought it. 😁
Bloody Brilliant Doug! Absolutely loved that performance.. So many rich sounds in the MicroBrute.. pairing this with all the amazing music apps on the iPad is a magnificent journey waiting to happen.. ODC is one of my fave delays too.. thanks for sharing.. Time to dust off my Brute + pickup a couple splitter cables.. 😁
Great video! I love it how new sounds and new ways of working are constantly being demonstrated from this synth. I would love to see a video of the Micro and Neutron combined, in the same way that Automatic Gainsay demonstrated with the Mini+Micro combined.
Awesome, no Genious!!! I’ve just picked up a microbrute and haven't gotten anything so cool sounding out of it yet. I would greatly appreciate if you would consider some more beginner vids on the microbrute. I've seen others on youtube but nobody is making music with it like you have here. Thanks.
VERY MUCH beginner here...One commenter stated pairing his with a Moog Mavis. I don't know how, but want to learn, but what other modules that I may be able to find can my Microbrute be paired with to increase its awesomeness? I got one off of Craigslist and am aching to blast out some un-reality! I also use pcs, not anything mac...so... Very curious.
If I were to buy a Behringer synth module, with longer cables I'd need to buy, I could just plug it and this synth's patch bay together? I bet it isn't that simple.
Alguien sabe como sincronizar el tempo con un cable midi usando un controlador midi al Microbrute? Uso el controlador con una app y un celular pero quiero sync con el microbrute. Saludos y gracias
What would be nice for that machine is some wipe clean overlays so you could mark off knob and slider positions for easy recall of different patches, like you use to have on the old Jen sx1000. It is a very nice synth though considering how simple it is to program. Maybe one day Arturia will do a version 2 with some patch memory.
@@TheSoundTestRoom I have patch sheets for my model D and my pro 1, but in this day and age there’s really no excuse for modern synths even copies of old ones to not have built in patch memory. Heck my pro 800 can store 400 patches.
I am consistently surprised how you create such wonderful music from uncomplicated gear set-ups - Truly, the man, not the instrument, makes the music!
Thank you 😊

Just blew the dust off mine from storage. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you very much!
Great set! I'm still trying to figure out how to not make my microbrute sound like an Italian ambulance 😅

That sonic journey was a thing of beauty, thanks Doug!

Great demo! I am intrigued on the use of the patch of the Microbrute, it seems that the party relly starts there.
This delicious micro synth still has so much to offer!
That sounds like classic 70's Tangerine Dream.
I own one now for about 3 years!! yours is a nice cherry red color very cool❤
One of the most underrated synths. Too bad Arturia discontinued it!

That looks like great fun! Enjoyed the session too! 😄

Damn!! Didn’t know it could sound this good! Must try with a headphone split! Thanks for the tips!!
Love the demo you created, it sounded great.
Very impressive!! I Love this little soundmachine!
Love this video mega...incredible sounds you're making once again! Thank you so much for sharing this most helpful and inspiring demo-how-to's!
Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk made decade-spanning careers out of such music.👍🖖🎉
This is amazing!!!!
Thank you, it’s a very capable little synth.
@@TheSoundTestRoom Agreed! I have one too and this helped me understand it even more:)

Thank you for this!
I needed this.

Cool jam man!
Amazing
Looks great but can't find one to buy!
I managed to too get some computer game stuff on my synthe.
It's really cool but the knobs rubber was not good on mine so I sold it

Very. lol. I love my MicroBrute.
I was trying to say Very Cool 😂

I wish mine were in that finish instead of black, lol. But meh, this synth would still look cool in avocado green, so I ain't bitchin'.

I think it did come with patch overlays, and I think you can download patch sheets too

Dry erase marker on the patch sheets should work, theyre plastic, different colors could be used for multiple patches per sheet.
