Hello friends! What do you count as the beginning of Autumn? A lot of countries count September 1st as the start of autumn by the meteorological calendar. By the astronomical calendar, however, it begins with equinox. I like to count September 1st as the start of autumn - mainly because I also do consider December as a winter month full of winter activities. What do you think?
For me, it begins in August. Some of the trees start turning and some leaves start falling then. There are also cooler days and nights. And I live in the South of the U.S.A., so that is odd. But I've learned that it can still be quite summery even in October where I live. I am also a total Autumn devotée and have been my entire life. Thanks for sharing this lovely interlude.

I live in the North of Spain, and our weather and landscape are quite similar to those in the UK, which means Nature is already showing those anticipated first signs. There are also those back to school vibes in the air, so it is as if Autumn is calling from every corner! 😅 Thank you again! 🤗😘
I don't like summer at all. I can't stand the heat, I even become sick of the heat and never sit in the sun. So autumn is a relief, finally summer is gone and I just love that season. It has something magical with all the different mushrooms and beautiful colours. Here in the Netherlands we have to wate a little longer because the next two days will be hot again unfortunately, so I am desperately longing for autumn. Thank you for this beautiful video ❤
You, in Europe are sooo very lucky to have autumn. In Brisbane, Australia autumn doesn’t exist - we have 6 months of never ending HOT ugly summer, with suffocating unbearable and life-sapping humidity. And then for the next 3 months the humidity slowly fades away until the ooooh soooo precious cooler days finally arrive and sadly last for only about 6 weeks before the ugliness of summer begins again 😢
Are summers too hot and unbearable in the Netherlands as well? 😰 It's surprising, I thought summer is usually cooler in the northern countries than here in Hungary, in the middle of Europe. The reason might be the global warming... By the way, I can't stand summer either, I'm not keen on hot weather at all! My favourite season is spring 🍃🌼🍓 but I like autumn as well. 🍂🌰🍁 (Unfortunately here in Hungary the next too _weeks_ will be hot. I hate it! 😣)
@@_Lane_ Tomorrow and Monday it will become 30 degrees. The summers in the Netherlands are not stable. But there are lots of hot days but it can also be colder around 20 degrees and raining but this summer is a hot summer for Dutch standards. But I think that Dutch summers are much more bearable than summers in Eastern Europe because we have a see climate.
The beginning of Autumn is when I feel my best I spring forth from my summer lull and immediately feel joy upon seeing the trees ablaze in their most beautiful state of colors! Crisp autumnal air to breathe in deeply cures any lingering feelings of sadness! It’s time for a reset to bring forth the seasons nutmeg cloves pumpkin spice…I find joy comes easily during this time! The new medium is lovely and the autumnal paintings are so beautiful as if you have always been meant for this!
I always feel like springtime gives me a feeling of excited rebirth and autumn gives me a feeling of cozy nostalgia. It took me a long time to actually be able to appreciate autumn, I think I always associated it with “back to school” and the stress of being in school. Now that I’m not in school of some sort, I can appreciate autumn more genuinely

i really do wish we have autumn here. philippines only has 2 seasons: wet and dry season. but during ber months, my catholic brothers and sisters starts to celebrate christmas. despite having sunny days most of the days, we also experience windy weather which is a very nice seasons especially when im at the countryside. watching videos like this is one of my stress relievers. 🥰🥰🥰

Dear Daria, you paint as a professional, as if you did this from a young age. It's a beautiful painting and i loved to hear the music of Ludovico Einaudi while you were painting. I love his music, it really touches my heart!! And i just wanted to say i love your shoes, so romantic! Autumn is coming soon. I live in the Netherlands and we have had an exceptional sunny summer week. But at night the sun goes down way earlier and it's dank at 9 pm. So, for me autumn is slowly coming. I love autumn, the crispy mornings and there can still be beautiful days and all sorts of colours in nature! We've been on holiday, with our caravan, to the south of France. It was really hot: 37°C. We've been swimming a lot and i've read 3 thick books. The nature and the French Alpes are amazing. In the mornings our breakfast table outside, all quiet and just green all around us, so beautiful and peaceful! It made us both very happy. This was a lovely video! I made hot chocolate just last night. There is so much beauty to see in the autumn. I love to observe nature in the woods and fields with the cooler weather. This season gets busy and I want to do everything, but remind my myself to go slowly when I can and soak it in before it’s gone. Your paintings are wonderful! The trees draw me in. It's my birthday today, 5th September. I absolutely love autumn. It represents slower living. Apple crumble, candles,pumpkin soup, hot chocolate, warm blankets, golden crunchy leaves, muddy puddles and just so many comforting things. ❤
I love to watch you walk the streets I walked on 50 yrs + ago as a young girl. I have very fond memories with Oxford. I still miss it dearly but time does not stand still for us. I am a believer that Autumn starts 22 September and as we are still in the thick of the heat here stateside. I like to watch videos as my home changes season again with out me its can be sad as I age. but brings back so many wonderful memories.
Though I recognise all the beauty the automn carries, sadly, it makes me restless and leaves me grieving the summer I love so much. The feeling you get in autumn are those I get in the spring, in preparation for the sun, the light and the warm that fills me with energy. And so I come here, to sweeten up this new season coming, to see it again in tje beautiful light it deserve, even if it marks the end of my favourite season... And after all, to remind me that nature needs to rest and, in order to have a summer, we do need an autumn and a winter, first. Thank you for your inspiration 💖

I find i enjoy something from all the seasons although admittedly, i am an autumn lover at heart.. my birthday is late October and even though living in the Arizona desert, we do not have the fiur seasons, I do love all the cozies and hot steaming drinks and sweater weather. The architecture in the UK is so gorgeous and distinct. I live in America surrounded by such modern boxes of sleek glass and fake stone and wood. To me, autumn is the joy of getting up in the morning and opening the curtains only to find that it's still dark outside, and getting excited about wearing boots and dressing for cool weather only to find myself sweating by mid-day and wishing I'd worn something else. Good times. 😅

August is such a transition time, it really doesn't feel all that summery anymore and somehow is bittersweet. As it ends however autumn is definitely something I look forward to as the leaves turn golden and season of harvest is upon us. There is something really magical in autumn and as you pointed out there's a whole community of people who love autumn. That does show that it's not just a single persons musings but actually a recognised beauty of the world. Lovely video, and really beautiful paintings! Looking forward to their release :)

Para mí el Otoño entra el 22 de Septiembre en el país donde estoy ahora viviendo y en el mío también, pero aquí el Otoño pasa despercibido, no lo vivo con ese cambio de colores ni tampoco con la caída de hojas porque estoy en clima tropical, y por ello lo extraño mucho ya que soy del norte de España y allí sí que lo vivía en todo su esplendor, cómo lo añoro !! Es mi estación favorita porque trae una luz distinta, cálida y ayuda a tener la oportunidad para hacer un autoanálisis e introspección como tú estás haciendo. Ayuda a relajarse y anima a hacer ciertas actividades con más entusiasmo, en tu caso la pintura, en mi caso la escritura y hornear recetas dulces y ricas empanadas para el deleite de los de casa. Así que por ahora me conformo con verte a tí pasar el Otoño con esa serenidad que transmites en cada vídeo, y admirando ese arte que tienes para pintar y dar vida a cada paisaje que haces. My brother works in the university, so I visit Oxford once or twice a year, and I prefer it much more than other cities in the UK. I with it wasn't so expensive :) And I usually sit a few hours in Blackwell's cafe, with books, great shop :)
Ten years ago, I left Britain to go to the other side of the world. I was sick of the rain and thought life was too short to spend days stuck inside when I could be outside in a hot, sunny country. To my surprise, I HATED it. My pale skin never tanned, the sun blinded my blue eyes, I would break out in a full body sweat if the temp rose above 25c. Years went by and I STILL hadn't acclimatised, spending those forever-summers, ironically, indoors. Ten stubborn years later, I finally returned. To the mists and mellow fruitfulness. The golden foot of Autumn rolling over the hills. The smell of black earth and pitter patter of rain on fallen leaves. Oh how I missed it so...
Oh wow! A lovely vlog! So inspiring! During the pandemic I took several opaque water color classes and loved it but when the classes ended I revert back to watercolors. I love both mediums. I love your images! I did feel a little sad, I love being in England as I always feel like I have gone home, especially whilst I am in Bath, and Oxford. I won’t be traveling there this year but next September! I will and I look forward to it! Cheers
Oh I forgot to answer your question: I love Autumn. Even though I grew up on the edge of a desert -autumns are very different there and to many there are no seasons but those of us who live there know. I moved north to the San Francisco area and though unlike the east coast of the US are autumns are not as colorful. But there is a glow and atmosphere that says it is time to finish our labors and prepare to rest and give thanks. I love this time of year but I don’t like the shorter days. Sigh.
Each season has its joyful moments. However, Autumn has something extra special - the walks in the countryside are spectacular. I loved your vlog and look forward to Autumn too.

Summer never disappoints me. Fond memories from childhood summers are always with me, and I don't mind the heat because where I live the climate isn't humid. There is only a short span of really hot days lasting a couple of short weeks. Without the heat the ocean and lakes would feel too cold, rather than refreshing and enjoyable. I love that I can wear single layers of light clothing that makes for less time doing laundry, and how quickly things dry on the clothesline. Ah, summer. Full of luscious greens and florals, singing birds and long days spent outdoors. I wish it could always be summer. Slow living at its finest, without the overwhelming, commercial holidays.

Autumn begins as early as I can get it-and all aboard the Hogwarts Express, too! In a lot of college introductions, people have been asking me what I am excited for. For...September, October, etc, I answered, to their perplexion. No anticipated great events, but the season itself is the great magic. Watching the Oxford bit makes me ache to go there myself, think'll I'll go lurk in my own university library later today! I'm someone who's been living in a tropical country my entire life.
Yet, the biggest dream of my life is to see the autumn before I die.
I also am an autumn soul - the thought of it fills my heart with nostalgia and melancholy - something bittersweet.
I have one final request though : could you please do a vlog on your lil black kitty? 🐾 he's so adorable. Seems to be such a great companion. Please share a day of your life with him, with us. I think he deserves it. And would be happy too .

This was a lovely video! I made hot chocolate just last night. There is so much beauty to see in the autumn. I love to observe nature in the woods and fields with the cooler weather. This season gets busy and I want to do everything, but remind my myself to go slowly when I can and soak it in before it’s gone. Your paintings are wonderful! The trees draw me in. It's my birthday today, 5th September. I absolutely love autumn. It represents slower living. Apple crumble, candles,pumpkin soup, hot chocolate, warm blankets, golden crunchy leaves, muddy puddles and just so many comforting things. ❤

I love to watch you walk the streets I walked on 50 yrs + ago as a young girl. I have very fond memories with Oxford. I still miss it dearly but time does not stand still for us. I am a believer that Autumn starts 22 September and as we are still in the thick of the heat here stateside. I like to watch videos as my home changes season again with out me its can be sad as I age. but brings back so many wonderful memories.
Though I recognise all the beauty the automn carries, sadly, it makes me restless and leaves me grieving the summer I love so much.
The feeling you get in autumn are those I get in the spring, in preparation for the sun, the light and the warm that fills me with energy.
And so I come here, to sweeten up this new season coming, to see it again in tje beautiful light it deserve, even if it marks the end of my favourite season... And after all, to remind me that nature needs to rest and, in order to have a summer, we do need an autumn and a winter, first.

I find i enjoy something from all the seasons although admittedly, i am an autumn lover at heart.. my birthday is late October and even though living in the Arizona desert, we do not have the fiur seasons, I do love all the cozies and hot steaming drinks and sweater weather. To me, autumn is the joy of getting up in the morning and opening the curtains only to find that it's still dark outside, and getting excited about wearing boots and dressing for cool weather only to find myself sweating by mid-day and wishing I'd worn something else. Good times. 😅

Summer draws the life from me and I wilt. However, Autumn is my favorite season as we anticipate the arrival of layered clothing, pumpkins, carnivals and seeing our breath. Then, I look forward to the crispness of Winter, soon followed by a fresh Spring. Maybe next year we can skip Summer and go straight to Autumn? 🍂

August is such a transition time, it really doesn't feel all that summery anymore and somehow is bittersweet. As it ends however autumn is definitely something I look forward to as the leaves turn golden and season of harvest is upon us. There is something really magical in autumn and as you pointed out there's a whole community of people who love autumn. That does show that it's not just a single persons musings but actually a recognised beauty of the world.

Para mí el Otoño entra el 22 de Septiembre en el país donde estoy ahora viviendo y en el mío también, pero aquí el Otoño pasa despercibido, no lo vivo con ese cambio de colores ni tampoco con la caída de hojas porque estoy en clima tropical, y por ello lo extraño mucho ya que soy del norte de España y allí sí que lo vivía en todo su esplendor, cómo lo añoro !!
Es mi estación favorita porque trae una luz distinta, cálida y ayuda a tener la oportunidad para hacer un autoanálisis e introspección como tú estás haciendo. Ayuda a relajarse y anima a hacer ciertas actividades con más entusiasmo, en tu caso la pintura, en mi caso la escritura y hornear recetas dulces y ricas empanadas para el deleite de los de casa.
Así que por ahora me conformo con verte a tí pasar el Otoño con esa serenidad que transmites en cada vídeo, y admirando ese arte que tienes para pintar y dar vida a cada paisaje que haces.

Although spring has always been and will always be my all-time-favourite season (I'm a truly and hardcore spring enthusiast 😉), it is followed by autumn - so I really love autumn as well! 🍁🍂🌰Unfortunately here in Hungary the weather usually starts to become "autumnical" only in the second half of September... Like in this year, for example. (I _can't stand_ summer, I _hate_ summer, it's too hot for me. 😥)

My brother works in the university, so I visit Oxford once or twice a year, and I prefer it much more than other cities in the UK. I with it wasn't so expensive :)
And I usually sit a few hours in Blackwell's cafe, with books, great shop :)

Ten years ago, I left Britain to go to the other side of the world. I was sick of the rain and thought life was too short to spend days stuck inside when I could be outside in a hot, sunny country. To my surprise, I HATED it. My pale skin never tanned, the sun blinded my blue eyes, I would break out in a full body sweat if the temp rose above 25c. Years went by and I STILL hadn't acclimatised, spending those forever-summers, ironically, indoors.
Ten stubborn years later, I finally returned. To the mists and mellow fruitfulness. The golden foot of Autumn rolling over the hills. The smell of black earth and pitter patter of rain on fallen leaves. Oh how I missed it so...

Oh wow! A lovely vlog! So inspiring! During the pandemic I took several opaque water color classes and loved it but when the classes ended I revert back to watercolors. I love both mediums. I love your images! I did feel a little sad, I love being in England as I always feel like I have gone home, especially whilst I am in Bath, and Oxford. I won’t be traveling there this year but next September! I will and I look forward to it! Cheers
Oh I forgot to answer your question: I love Autumn. Even though I grew up on the edge of a desert -autumns are very different there and to many there are no seasons but those of us who live there know. I moved north to the San Francisco area and though unlike the east coast of the US are autumns are not as colorful. But there is a glow and atmosphere that says it is time to finish our labors and prepare to rest and give thanks. I love this time of year but I don’t like the shorter days. Sigh.

Summer never disappoints me. Fond memories from childhood summers are always with me, and I don't mind the heat because where I live the climate isn't humid. There is only a short span of really hot days lasting a couple of short weeks. Without the heat the ocean and lakes would feel too cold, rather than refreshing and enjoyable. I love that I can wear single layers of light clothing that makes for less time doing laundry, and how quickly things dry on the clothesline. Ah, summer. Full of luscious greens and florals, singing birds and long days spent outdoors. I wish it could always be summer. Slow living at its finest, without the overwhelming, commercial holidays.

In a lot of college introductions, people have been asking me what I am excited for. For...September, October, etc, I answered, to their perplexion. No anticipated great events, but the season itself is the great magic.
Watching the Oxford bit makes me ache to go there myself, think'll I'll go lurk in my own university library later today!
