I also love maternity sessions! Thanks for the tip about keeping the client's arm closest to me, down and around the bottom of the belly. Your comment about elongating the arm made sense as to why I prefer that arm down. I am also sure to mention to mom to separate her upper arm from her body a little so it is not pressed tight, flattening her upper arm.

Where can I see more examples
I am taking maternity pics tomorrow and have four girls ... looking for some ideas on poses with four girls and the youngest being four years old. And the oldest 11.
Hey there! Sorry I’m just seeing this! I usually put mom (or both parents) in the middle and place kids around. Littles in the front, but make sure the baby bump is always visible.
