    Wow that music in the start of the video is worse than terrible. Such a shame because your content is actually pretty good.

      Hey William. Well, music is always subjective, and what is terrible to some, is awesome to others. But, be not in dispair! We generally change the songs quite often, and rarely reuse tracks, so you shouldn't be scared of subscribing for more awesome content. I hope you are having a great day and that you've found just the rights shoes for you.

    Great review. I am a big New Balance fan, I have a wide foot and they just fit well with all the wide options they offer. I have worn the 1080 v10 in a 4E, I have not worn the newer version. I do have the 880 V11 in 2E width and I am wondering how it might compare in the width area. I also have the More v3 in a 2E and it fits great but I'm looking for a good stability option.

    Wow that's a very encouraging endorsement. I've been looking for an alternative to the Brooks Adrenaline and have just ordered a pair of the Vongo v 5's Can't wait to get them on my feet. So, the Fuel Cell is they to go for a faster stability shoe?

    • @RunningXpert
      @RunningXpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Martyn,
      I hope you will like it! I really enjoy runing in my Vongo 5 at least. The fuel Cell Prism is a stability shoe with fuel cell yes, but don't expect it to be very stable compared to the vongo.

      @@davidhenriksen5947 I was starting to get knee pain in my Adrenaline 21's - a fresh pair too, not worn out, but the Vongo's are like a treat for your feet. They feel very stable. The ride is like having a nice firm pillow underfoot and no pain, rubbing or niggles. Love them!

    What about the Saucony Guide 15? What's the differences? Tks 😁

    • @RunningXpert
      @RunningXpert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Italo!
      The Vongo 5 is a tiny bit softer and has a elastic upper. The Guide 15 has a slightly firmer midsole and a soft but more structured upper. Two great shoes!

    Is it wide-foot friendly? Or do I have to go US10.5 on the D width?

    • @RunningXpert
      @RunningXpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Paul,
      It is friendly if you have bunions or similar. But if you normally use a wide version this might be preferable, because the upper in the forefoot doesn't stop your foot from expanding outside of the platform.

    What is the difference between the vongo v5 standard and wide shoe?

    • @RunningXpert
      @RunningXpert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Shihaan. For men, a wide is normally a 2E last, while normal is D. 2E has a wider platform in general.
      For women the normal width is a B last, while D is considered wide.
      Wider shoes will mostly have a a wider instep, more space for your toes and more fabric in general for more space.
      I haven’t tried the wide model of the Vongo, so I can’t tell you more than that.

    How is it compared to the 860V13 ? Gel Kayano 29 ?

    • @RunningXpert
      @RunningXpert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Ben.
      The 860v13 will be more stable and firmer and the Gel-Kayano 29 will be a bit more heavy and maybe a tad softer. They are all three great shoes with stability, so it just comes down to what typoe of running shoe you like. To be honest, I am a big fan of the Vongo, and find the 860 a bit to stiff and the Kayano a bit too much. But this is all down to each and every runners opinion.

    How it compares to infinity run FK3

    • @RunningXpert
      @RunningXpert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, infinity run is more narrow in the midfoot, has a less stretchy upper and a softer midsole. It’s all about taste, and I find the Vongo to be an easier shoe to run in. But both are great shoes for daily training.

    I really wanted to love the Vongo v5 but I don't. Long time Kayano and GT 2000 user. Wanted to switch things up a little, so bought these. I really don't like them. I've now done more than 50 miles in these and I continue to have pins and needles in my forefoot just about 1 mile into the run. I've loosened the laces to the max extent, and it still doesn't make a difference. Hate these shoes. Unfortunately, where I am, I can't return them. So will be tossing them out. What a waste of my money

    • @RunningXpert
      @RunningXpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Freshie,
      I am sad it didn't work for you. But remember, if you have used Asics for a long time your feet are very tuned in to Asics, and not other brands. So if you have the chance I would suggest trying to use your Vongo for those very short slow recovery runs where you might not get as much of that pins and needles in the the forefoot. That way you might get used to it over time. 50 miles isn't a lot of time for your body to adapt if you are very sensitive to the load a certain shoe gives.
      If you do that then you might get something out of a shoe that you have considered lost. I have done this time and time again, and all the body needs is usually some time and patience. Hope it all turns out okey!
      Kind regards
      Lars

    How would you compare this to something like the brooks glycerin 19 GTS? I got on quite well with the 1080 but due to a few issues find myself need some stability

    • @RunningXpert
      @RunningXpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Mitchy. If I was to compare the Vongo with a Brooks shoe, then I would say it's more like the adrenaline, just a bit lighter and more snappy than the glycerin.
      You also have the difference in the support technologies that they are using. Vongo is using a normal medial post, while Brooks is using a guide rail technology. Both are great shoes, and if you ease into them, then I am sure you would love them both.
      And bet of all :D We have them both in storage, so you are welcome to check them out on runningxpert.com

    • @RunningXpert
      @RunningXpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mauro, it all depends on how much cushion you want. They are nice and stable shoes, but not the most cushioned on the market. So if you want something a bit softer then there are other options.
