    Love the shoe color scheme!!! I have learned breathability is very important, especially amid this Southern California heat wave. I live in L.A. County. I just gave my Skecher Max Road 4's to the Thrift store. Too hot! No mas! Meanwhile, Lasker my beloved cat says hi to the Rubester. Lasker has become part of my video series. What is PF?

      Hello Lasker! It’s Plantar Fasciitis. Basically it’s inflammation of a thick band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes. I get a pain in my heel and sometimes in my arch

    I found this one to run just a bit narrow in the womens 10D so I ordered it in a mens 2E as Ive found the mens 2E toe box to fit just a bit better for my slightly wider foot. LOVE the bit of support in this one though without compromising on breathability or comfort.

    • @kildpopper
      @kildpopper 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I find that really annoying with new balance. They either fit me perfectly, or I have to order a half size up and in wide. It's weird.

      @kellylake6640 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kildpopper yes! I have some that I can wear a 10B, others a 10D then some I need a Mens 8.5 2E and I never know how its going to go until I try the individual shoes on and no 2 pair are EVER alike either, I find many times the identical shoe style & size will have differences or defects so I must try on ever single pair and run in them to know for sure.

    Heller, your pronation on one foot is due to the instability of your hip. Try to strengthen and stretch that side of the hip & glute (glute max and mid). Once you done that, your pronation will be gone.

      Ruby is hanging in there! It’s hard to say. If you want something incredibly soft, I’d go with the More V3. It’s a much more plush ride. However, I’d say the Vongo is more versatile. It’s firmer, but I think I’d be able to get more use out of it for different kinds of runs. The More V3 is really just an easy day shoe for me

    Heller you absolute legend, i come seeking advice.
    I am looking at something to replace 2 shoes, My Endorphin Shifts which have died/lost their comfort after 350km (220miles) and are like running on cardboard, and also My Endorphin Speeds, which as nice as they feel, i pronate too much in as i get to midfoot/forefoot area.
    Im 37, 83 kg (185lbs), and run between 8 - 20km (5 - 13miles) on my runs at around a 4:35 - 4:45 minute per km speed (7:25 - 7:40 min per mile).
    With my slight over pronation, ive been looking at the Vongo v5 and the More v3 reviews youve done and watched your running form/pronation yourself and they both seem to work for you. What pros and cons are there in comparing these 2 side by side? Could i get the More v3 at the 7:25 - 7:40 mile speed or would it be a slog, and whats the bounce/responsiveness/softness like on both?
    I love the rocker on the Shift and Speed so thats what drew me to the More and Vongo. I had been looking at the Nimbus Lite 2 but without the rocker, im not sure?
    I could potentially buy both the More and the Vongo but i thought id get your input first as your elite when it comes to this.
    Sorry for the novel. Peace ✌

      @RunLikeHeller  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! thanks for supporting the channel! The Vongo is a great option. it's going to be a bit firmer, maybe similar to the Shift with a tad more give. The only issue I had was that my foot went numb on a longer run (but I think that's a me problem, not a shoe problem). The More V3 is a great shoe for comfort but I think it's best used for easier runs. Not sure how well it would do at a 7:40 mile. If you're looking for something slightly softer, I may suggest a Hoka Rincon or Clifton. They're both somewhat softer and have rockers. I realize these are neutral, but they're on the more stable side of the spectrum. Lastly I may suggest the Hoka Bondi X. It's heavy on paper but is highly cushioned and has a carbon plate (feels very natural though) and a rocker tech as well. I just wore it in the Chicago marathon. Hope this helps!

    How different are these (in terms of weight and softness) from the 1080v11? Do you think it would make sense for a person to have both in their rotation, or are the shoes similar enough that you would only need one?

    • @RunLikeHeller
      @RunLikeHeller  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I missed your reply. See if you can find a PT that practices “Active Release Therapy”. The guy I saw gave me a few stretches, some strength training exercises, had me wear a brace when I slept, and he performed some scare tissue relief treatments. I had PF really bad. It took five or six weeks of treatments, and then it was gone. That was 12 years ago and it has not returned. I have referred at least a half dozen people to my guy for PF. They have all thanked me and been healed just as I was. Good luck with your PF!!!

      Have you tried the stability version of the Brooks Glycerin 19? I have the regular version and it’s very stable as well. Be warned if you try it on that it runs on the shorter side, so I had to go up 1/2 size for my slightly longer right foot. It’s my first Glycerin but all the reviews say it’s the best version of the line. It’s not super-soft in the mushy sense, though, so if you like the sinking-into-marshmallow kind of soft, you will probably not find it with the Glycerin. But I’m enjoying it on my long runs. Here is my question,I notice you say in your videos that though you over pronate ,you dont advocate or use stability shoes since its tries to change the natural foot movement. I am a mild over pronator. Are stability shoes bad? What will happen if a mild over pronator or over pronator uses neutral shoes? Have you had any injuries because of neutral shoes? Why most shoes stores try to push stability shoes? Please shed some light.

    • @RunLikeHeller
      @RunLikeHeller  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thank you so much for watching! No, stability shoes are not bad at all! I don’t dislike them, but sometimes they just end up causing ME more issues than I would like. It really depends on the runner. At the end of the day you need to feel comfortable. I haven’t had any serious injuries due to stability shoes but I have had some knee pain which I think was caused by a stability shoe down the line. I’m currently running in the New Balance Vongo V5 and it’s been a great stability shoe. I think stores push those shoes if they see any pronation in your stride, which is probably something a lot more people do than we realize!
