Thanks for posting this! Love your style of presenting things so precisely and slowly. Excellent! I'm getting back into bass after 35 years. I tried to do so a bit earlier, but some serious life issues put my comeback attempt on hold. Money was bad and had to sell all my gear. A local guitar player heard my story and offered me a low budget bass (a pay-me-$70-when-you-can sort of thing) which he just found at a yard sale. I was floored by his generosity but wasn't expecting what happened a few weeks later when I bumped into him again and he gave me a small Ampeg bass amp in like-new condition. I'm fired up and equipped to get started again and have been wanting to "re-learn" the proper way. I have been seeking out books/videos with mixed results, but after watching 1 single video from you, I sensed that your style will suit my needs best. I hope to be in position to buy some courses from the website once money improves. To other beginning bassists, I recommend getting out and seeing local live music whenever you can! Thanks again for posting this!

I've been playing consistently for the past 2 weeks, (on and off for 2 years, mostly off). I've almost got the sequence down after about 10 minutes. Now I need to work on the timing. I think it sounds better ending on the B instead of the A#. Great video Greg!
This is a nice lick to practice getting up to speed. Between the pdf and watching your fingers, I think I have things in the right order now. Now it's time to practice. It's one of those you can do round and round and not really get tired of it.

Hi Greg, I think I can get the 2nd lick but the one is challenging to try to do that in time. The first one I am going to have to work on that one. The first lick seems like it's more of a middle intermediate/advanced lick to nail it perfectly in time.
It's definitely a tricky riff to play at full speed but still try to make sure that you understand about the note choices, then you can use parts of this lick in your own bass lines.

The PDF is free but sorry the backing track has a small charge. My website is hosted on Squarespace which has a very secure cart page. It will very easily transfer into pounds if you are from the UK.
