A sound plan Paul, but the activists will never go for it. Reason being, they don't really want equality and more representation, their end goal is really just to eliminate white people entirely. And, your plan doesn't allow for that.

Chato, I spotted an epic opportunity, something that could account for several videos and, unless I am mistaken, will hit a nerve.
At 2:55, there is some appalling document behind you spelling out racial quotas. That sheiße makes my hand stand on end. I don't think it's just me. Administrative racial quotas will get a strong visceral reaction all around America. It's heinous stuff. That should get a big fat airing to the world, and *I* *think* *you* *are* *just* *the* *person* *to* *do* *it* .
What was that? Was it Disney or Amazon? Whichever it was, could you find the other one too? Present it. Let us read it. Include a reference pointer so people can peruse it after the video. If these things are out there like that, you can do one show on each one. It's like "evidence of conspiracy", or something.
Aren't there written rules about racial quotas associated with the Academy Awards. I bet you can find them. That's gonna be a whopper.
Put on a newsman's hat, or work with a newsman. Have someone call Amazon asking for their comment on this document. I think you get the idea.
IMHO this is a powder keg.

20 years ago I was a manager for a Financial firm (I won't say the name but it rhymes with Smidelity Sinvestments) A person lied about me because he didn't get a promotion, so I had to fly to headquarters for a 6 hour interrogation about a list of some 30 items he had made up about me (looking at porn on my computer that they could see every click on their records, stuff like that)..
In the end, my VP took me aside and said off the record, " just so you know we interviewed everyone in the branch and we know he is lying about absolutely everything, but I have to tell you... Smidelity is a fortune 500 company and is run by HR and Compliance, and sadly, he is hispanic and you are white so they will be firing you since you can't sue.

Well I normally agree with that position, this is about entertainment products. The entertainment business can specify particular genders, and particular races.
It doesn't matter that you're a great dancer. They need one male dancer and one female dancer for a romantic dance scene between a straight couple. Your typical rom-com needs to have a female lead and a male lead.
The problem they are having is with forced checkbox diversity where they irrationally include a balanced mix of races and genders 0:59 even when it makes no sense.

I am inclined to disagree with the premise here. DEI is antithetical to the American vision. We aren't pieces but a whole and thus equal. It is that uniqueness that sets this nation apart. For people to be carving up ethnic groups of descent while ignoring that we are all Americans is self defeating. It is also assuming that individual actors are somehow products of whatever shade they represent. Sydney Portier and Tyler Perry couldn't be further distinguished in their acting prowess, presence, and talents. Film should be believable. It might make sense to have a mostly black ensemble if you are doing a timely period piece like The Color Purple. Instead we are being drawn out of the film by DEI driving the production, suspension of disbelief be damned. The same goes for progressive topical narratives grafted into most scripts. I can watch a film like Rocky today without assuming that Carl Weathers was particularly put there to create a Civil Rights controversy, while also understanding the claims to American exceptionalism as a great equalizer. Rocky the white man underdog going up against a wealthy and successful black champion and it was hopeful, indivisible, believable, and good storytelling in the context of American paradigms. DEI is an alien concept.

Your suggestion is simple, straightforward, reasonable, and makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, the decision makers you are offering this to are unnecessarily complex, convoluted, irrational, and haven't the sense God gave a brick. In other words, they are the intelligentsia. Which is why your solution will, ultimately, be rejected. And more's the pity.

DEI will d-i-e as incompetence becomes the norm, which will be soon since one is surprised when one encounters competence these days. As for Hollywood, so how are ticket sales doing? I hear that 2024 may become known as the Year of Empty Seats.

I believe the studios could do a dump method since the studios know what movies and TV shows they are making and how many people were hired, their jobs and the job's status importance. Take last year's number, use a percentage system to come up with how many people of which group is needed to fill each position. Subtract the number already hired for projects coming out this year. Then the studio makes $10 million a piece dump movies with the crew getting a cut of the gross. The movies get a limited run in the theaters and if they do well, they get a wide release. If not, they get dumped on digital. If a studio can write off one movie for $100 million, the studio could have used that money to make 10 dump movies to break even.

It's not about underrepresentation, it's about opression. If someone belongs to a group who they think have been opressed at some point in time they think they are entitled to reparations today. The only way out is to not replace patriarchy with matriarchy and good luck with that now after MeToo.

I am waiting for the satire movie about how ridiculous this all is, an Airplane type of movie or Office Space, Spaceballs, Hot Shots, Get Shorty etc. Totally about the absurd conditions movie studios are pushing to meet the political correct/ identity politic boxes. A movie about East Asia with no Asians. A movie about ancient Persia with no Persians already done in "The Prince of Persia". A film about Vikings with nothing but Asian and African Americans. A movie about Native American's with nothing but East Asian's and white people. What bugs me most in the rewriting of history and recasting for present day politics magical bullshit lands that never existed revisionist history not accurate to that time period or place. Can't have a movie about ordinary life hardships anymore someone has to be gay, someone has to be trans, can't show 2 straight people kissing anymore might hurt some snowflakes feelings its just nuts. Why not make a movie about the scammers in India and Africa taking advantage of our seniors and getting them back. That could have equal diversity since the scammer doesn't care what ethnic nationality he is targeting.

You need to get at the heart of the matter: The World Economic Forum. ESG is where this is all coming from.
It's like I finally understand why the culture shifted so suddenly, so artificially, top to bottom. Why every major company fell in line with 'the message.' Everyone's NOTICING this stuff in Hollywood but it's in every single corporation, school and bank across the United States; the problem is WAY bigger than entertainment (the place it's most visible).
