GTA 4 always had the wow factor. I cant think of a game that blew me away like this one, since GTA III. The scarcity of it, the power needed to run it whether you were lucky enough to have a PS3 in 2009, or a graphics card to run it 2011. Its a very hidden game because everyone knows GTAV, but I played that and got bored. This one - I still miss and I actually dont have a console or graphics card to even play it.

Back when companies main goal was to make a good game that people would come back to, now in 2023 game companies only care about how far they can reach into your pockets. If gta 5 was any indication on how greedy and micro transaction hungry rockstar have gotten, gta 6 is gonna cost an arm and a leg, smh fuck those greedy fucks
GTA 4 is so great bc it focused on the actual game and story, gta 5 is online oriented and I think that what it was for, I don’t think we’ll get another gta 4 but I’m hoping 5 was a good trial and test for what 6 will bring hopefully a mix of both worlds
That's crazy this game is that old and this good. I need to get back to playing it. Got side tracked and never finished the game as it's my first time ever trying to complete the game. Never owned a PS3 and finally have a powerful PC to play GTA 4 maxed out. Just need to do it now. Great video!

Only was able to touch it once at a party years ago and even then the dudes wife told us to get off and enjoy the party and I haven’t played it since now having a series s after my ps5 got stolen I had seen it’s able to play it even tho it’s 360 so now I’m gonna experience it for the first time including the DLCs😆
Last year i replayed this game for the first time in 10 years. It was so much fun. I almost forgot how good the story was. Nico is the greatest protagonist in GTA history
This game is literally the Romeo & Juliet's of GTA games. The story is capitivating, intesnse &, dark, you start feeling things can get better for Niko. Yet it's broken up with light hearted times with hangout with your friends &, enjoying games & converstations. It's not about grinding throught the missions all the time, it's about building relationships & figuring out the past of Niko, & Niko's friend's past. The best thing This game does is two things one was the ending & no I'm not talking about having chocies. I'm talking about the sheer fact that no matter which one you choose, it ends in a tragedy. Much like how Romeo & Juliet ends in a Tragedy. The second thing is the fact that no matter which one you choose. You end up hurting people around you. Much like reality if/when you do a crime. It doesn't matter what the crime is it still has en effect on the people around & hurts them in some way & will hurt you too in some way.

NPC AI is always interesting to see in games the only good NPC AI I've seen is on watch dogs 2 the mood states, and the interaction you can do with them beyond pointing out shooting your gun at them, is stuff I like to mess about with during the single player campaign, I might try GTA 4 to see if the AI interactions hold up
I just bought it on the series X the other day. I played & completed it when it was released. I remember playing that & Burst Limit. I do remember Kat Williams being at the comedy club & a few activities but not the story, so since Next Gen seems to not care about releasing real deal next gen games, I've been going back replaying games since I don't really care for online gaming

I feel like the behavior of the cops in both games were a bit of social commentary. I could be wrong, but I always thought it was funny that the GTA IV cops would never stop shooting you even after you die.
What really always did it for with GTA IV in terms of immersion: it always feels like the worlds keeps turning, even without you. The city is alive, you dont have to do anything, it moves by itself. You are alone in this big dark city filled with crime and you really have to fight your way through. GTA 5 felt like a walk in the park compared to this absolute masterpiece of a game.
i remember i Added the car Mercedes Benz CLS and edited its parameter a little. to do drifting power and traction . It was like a sim so fun to do casual short plays whenever i had time to play games

Nice video! i just replay the game again. now on pc. the last time i played it on xbox 360. that was at least 10 years ago. forgot the most. then i thought about some mods. then i gave it a try. after a few hours of trying mods, reinstall the game because its broken because of mods...now i find my best mods which are working well together. just a handfull. not these extremes mods which are changing the graphics and destroys the atmosphere. just installed relaity iv 2.0, project birds, new weapon skins and sound, rivers of blood v 4.3, DKT70's roads overhaul and radio downgrader. these are perfect. but didnt know that this game is and still a bad pc port. because the cut scenes are really bad and some textures are missing sometimes. but i think i will finish this game with the dlc's. its a great gta!
I really hope Rockstar remasters GTA IV for the Playstation 5. I miss playing online GTA IV. It's technically not available anymore on the PS3. In other words, RockStar doesn't support it anymore. So no security updates. Every time I played GTA IV there would be a hackers in the lobby.
the biggest flaw of GTA IV was the lack of anti-aliasing that can only be fixed by playing at a higher resolution than 1080p (which was near impossible back in 2008 at a good framerate) and the brown and yellow piss filter that the game had. GTA IV's distinctive artstyle were the reasons why alternate open world city games got sales in the first place. Because people wanted to experience a realistic looking city, not the brown autumnal haze that GTA IV was. Thankfully any ENB fixes this, to the point where you dont feel like playing watchdogs, saints row and just prefer to spend more time in liberty city again.
I liked the Lost and Gay Tony expansions of GTA4. Ive played GTA5 more though, its bigger and the vehicles more expansive, wish the police would bugger off some times though

Nah he fully there yet, he still thinks GTA 4s driving physics is “realistic”, every single GTA 4 comparison video always says the driving physics is real, it’s honestly like no one who says this has ever driven a car in real life. Bugs me out so much people genuinely think it’s even close to realistic, most cars have the turning circle of a yacht.

You`re wrong about one thing tho. It`s called "sucker punch" because sometimes people get knocked out to sleep from one single fist if it lands on target. Check it out on youtube if you don`t believe me. People go to sleep even from powerfull slaps. It is very realistic, trust me.
I actually have this game for Xbox 360, but never played the game...lol The story is that back in 2016 my sibling knew a guy that wanted to sell his sons xbox 360E, xbox 1 and a PS4 slim a few weeks later. I believe the 360 was only a few weeks old and a PS4 slim was only 10 days old lol. So both were brand new, and I wasn't much into gaming back then as I am now. So both consoles came with GTA IV and the PS4 came with GTA V which I also really played except for the beginning level. The seller had other games. I never played xbox 1 console CD's as I remember buying 2 of them, which one was used and the other brand new. I re-sold the brand new and kept the used xbox 1. I just need to fix the disk hardware or replace it to play the CDs. I did play a few downloads on it. The Uncharted IV game took most of the time to play and I finished the game over the years as I would skip months from playing, but the graphics were amazing.
When they made gta5 they got lazy and used the Midnight club driving physics, the gta4 was way to top heavy, but god i loved getting on a sports bike and going around doing donuts trying to get it to drift a bit and peel off doing a roller.
But even though GTA 5 physics wasn’t realistic, it was far better then GTA 4s driving physics, like you said, top heavy, or could literally roll any and all cars if you turned around a bend at speed, turning circles or a cruise ship, they had more body rolls then Lizzo.
gotta mention that every npc has different fighting styles from where they come from, like taxi drivers that are bad at fightning. instead a gangster would fight better
I completed gta 4 on the 360 and xbox one and there was this problem where after a few days after completing it, it would say it was unable to load my save files.
I actually recently bought the full edition that comes with the other 2 stories and tbh I never knew how goo the crouching and fighting is in this game I’m doing a no cheats run cuz the first time I played I just used a bunch of cheats
I’ve played a lot of gta and never really done the story’s but I’ve decided to beat some of them like first I beat 5 few years later I started San Andreas took a few days and now I’m on gta 4

GTA V kinda became the more cartoony brother of GTA IV, still has a good serious story but with more humor in it.

the eyes pupils & eye lids on the pedidtrains in GTA 4 are actually animated, they seem to have dead lock stare in gta 5.

GTA IV just understands it’s location it’s based on. Even the color filter gets the gritty dense city landscape.

I live in Los Angeles and I really like controlling 3 characters with skills you can upgrade. But the visuals are pretty damn cool in this puppy.

Atmosphere is different cuz east coast is colder than LA sunny. I like gta 5. For west coast vines I love since I’m from the pnw . Gta 4 is kinda sad

When they made gta5 they got lazy and used the Midnight club driving physics, the gta4 was way to top heavy, but god i loved getting on a sports bike and going around doing donuts trying to get it to drift a bit and peel off doing a roller.
But even though GTA 5 physics wasn’t realistic, it was far better then GTA 4s driving physics, like you said, top heavy, or could literally roll any and all cars if you turned around a bend at speed, turning circles or a cruise ship, they had more body rolls then Lizzo.

I finished the game a long time ago in my old pc, now I'm playing it again trying to do 100% but with DVXK and ENB iCE this game is so good
gotta mention that every npc has different fighting styles from where they come from, like taxi drivers that are bad at fightning. instead a gangster would fight better
They need to make a version for ps4 and ps5
If they would mix gta6 with Gta4 and red dead 2 together it would be the ultimate game

I tried playing GTA 4 just now and hated it. There are no checkpoints in this game. The motorcycles are really hard to drive too.
I completed gta 4 on the 360 and xbox one and there was this problem where after a few days after completing it, it would say it was unable to load my save files.

I actually recently bought the full edition that comes with the other 2 stories and tbh I never knew how goo the crouching and fighting is in this game I’m doing a no cheats run cuz the first time I played I just used a bunch of cheats
I’ve played a lot of gta and never really done the story’s but I’ve decided to beat some of them like first I beat 5 few years later I started San Andreas took a few days and now I’m on gta 4
I have the complete edition, triple DLC boxset on 360. After seeing this I'm going to install it on my Series X

@@L321 Alright, I fixed my FPS, and finally, I can enjoy GTA 4, and damn you were right. The city's atmosphere is darn impressive it really gives me the New York vibes. And the amount of realism in this game is also insane, the tollbooths and restaurant interiors and soo beautiful. And Star Junction
Agreed ive finished both games , GTA 4 overall is better game.
And in GTA 4 you can actually do something with the police cars (which makes it alot more fun trying to steal one)
