+JKH Piano The major problem is that instead of making an actual theory for a game we know and love, he INSTEAD makes a video for a game that isn't even out yet and forces a theory into existence because that's what Ubisoft told him to do. Makes for boring content with no love put into it. I much prefer product placement (like good old Audible) rather than a giant ad replacing the actual video.

Besides I watched all the videos in a playlist and there were several sponsored videos there that I had no idea were sponsored and noticed no difference so yes its a stigma in my eyes. +Samrux To a degree yes. However it depends on how successful that "guy" was- and how successful his ancestors was. It can limit the ancestor from millions to only a hundred or so.
However not everyone came from that specific group of humans who migrated over nepal and to the Americas. You got the people who went south asia, oceania, America (over the pacific), Africa, and Europe who would not be related at all.

Even if this isn't what Ubisoft planned, they need to pick this up and run with it.
Honestly that's probably what happens oftentimes when people put good theories out there, even if they hadn't intended to take it there.
Given the sort of stuff they had back in the earlier Assassin's Creed days, I would have said that it was entirely though-out and 100% intentional.
Now, meh. Probably couldn't even plan what to make for dinner.

The Assassin's Creed 3 dlc was a "fever dream" though. A what if shown by the apple. Nothing that happens in the gameplay part of the dlc is history. Yeah maybe drinking the tea of a red willow could give Connor those abilities but we never see a red willow in the game and the Apple's purpose is to mess with the minds of humans.
Great theory MatPat, except for one small detail. The game's official setting is in CENTRAL EUROPE, 10,000 BCE. Sorry to crush your dreams, but try explaining a migration from Africa to Central Europe to Nepal to North America. Sounds like we're following Indiana Jones not ancient man.

+Danny Allin I have a Well they don't theoretically have to migrate from Nepal to North America. One of Takkar's children could have traveled to America on a fishing trip. Now I know what your thinking But native populations migrated across the bearing land bridge. BUT there actually are some theories out there that Native Americans actually arrived both across the land bridge and may have come across the Atlantic to America! But not intentionally, lots of paleontologists think that Ancient humans may have gotten lost on deep sea fishing expeditions and accidentally arrived in America. I know it sounds crazy Trust me look it up! As for Takkar's descendants migrating from Europe to Nepal that doesn't make much sense so I will give you that one.

Those were merely primary migration routes, everyone didn't necessarily take the same route, that would be silly.

Looking back at this, my nitpick is one of the main point was the bows being the same and well hunters use bows because they are stealthy and making bows out of two pieces of wood is the only way to make a good makeshift bow

How is it disproven location isn't even much of a big deal to the theory? All that really mattered was the time period n the hunters n then you can link the games together because they are the ancestors to the people in Ubisoft games.
George Talavera it matters specifically in the case of far cry 4, where the placement of takkar's origins has to be before but on the way to the india/nepal region. it's highly unlikely that a tribe of people would move from central europe to south asia, let alone even be able to do that.
+George Talavera Location was actually very important to his theory. He uses migration patterns as his means of linking primal ancestrally to all the other games.
Putting the game in Slovakia takes it off that migratory route, which completely unhinges the theory, since now you have no way to explain the similarities beyond hand waving it and saying 'somehow his ancestors got there'.

If Ubisoft (or some other dev) came to me and attempted to pay me lots of money to show off their game on my channel, I would refuse. I would do it for free, yet tell them "I have the right to s**t on this game at my digression if it requires."
So.... The protagonist of Primal is an ancestor of Bayek from Assassin’s Creed Origins? Bayek is surely a beast master, because he is able to tame Senu. Also the bows in Assassin’s Creed Origins are quite similar to the ones in Primal.

I think you'll find that most bows are similar.. stick.. string.. arrow.. center made thicker for strength. and isn't something that would necessarily be linked. Most will also be called "Hunter bow" as the main purpose of the bow is.. to.. Hunt
As for Senu.. both the main characters from Primal and Assassin's creed 3 got their ability through drinking a substance, which (to our knowledge) isn't the way that Bayek gets his relationship with Senu.
Falconry (= taming birds of prey to assist in hunting and such) is something that may have done as early as 2000BC according to the earliest accounts that have been found. While the relationship between the eagle and Bayek is strong. Some of it (the taking control of the eagle and vision) will most likely be just for the sake of gameplay mechanics. Or we can start adding Game of Thrones to the shared universe too.. as Bran controls crows and other animals..

The doctor isnt giving you HIS blood, he is only there for the transaction. Also when do people get blood donations? When they are injured. It's most likely that this will happen in the nearest hospital thus meaning that you in fact DON'T know the operating doctor there unless you are like 90 yrs old and every week in hospital but I highly doubt that.

Here's a cool detail: in farcry primal, when you use the grapple hook, the options are "go up" and "go down". In the modern farcry games, they are "ascend" and "descend". Farcry primal takes place in the mesolithic, and language was simpler, but the other games take place in modern day. Nice attention to detail, ubisoft!! 👍👍👍

The Rakshasa are descendants of Roshani who is an izila general who became a Wenja. With that said he could have given the wenja his tribes art style like the body paint on the Rakshasa.
