Oh my gosh! I can’t get over your new home! It makes me want to sell my vintage 1968 home and find a place like yours! The kitchen and bath are DREAMS! My kitchen is a tiny galley! My bathroom has (literally!!) 8 sq ft of floor! There is not one drawer in my bathroom! Not one!! My bedroom is small but I have a makeup table as a bedside table since there is no space in the bathroom! I could go on but I’ll make myself cry!! Gorgeous new home for you! Just lovely! I don’t even think San Antonio has any apartments like yours, though. The residents here are a totally different base.
Throughout all the changes in your life you have remained upbeat and positive, always seeing and describing how something is wonderful, how blessed you are to be where you are at any given time and to appreciate what many take for granted - the sunset, your plants etc. and you are able to put a decorator's touch to your apartments that make them feel homey, inviting, serene and warm. You are such an inspiration because we all know that this is all very hard work to accomplish and takes mental and physical energy! Congratulations on this new phase of your life and thank you for allowing us to be a part of it.
@@sharondiaz137 People get triggered when money is mentioned in regards of happiness. But having been through financial highs and lows throughout my life, I must agree with you. Money can't buy happiness, but it surely helps fulfilling your dreams, making your life comfortable and giving you peace of mind.
What I do appreciate is that as your platform (and income, I’d hope) has grown, you haven’t forgotten that many of your watches are operating with a more moderate income. The fact that you still offer a variety of affordable in all you discuss-from makeup, to furnishings, to wine (😁) makes us all feel that it is possible to live a beautiful life no matter where we are financially. As you beautifully illustrate, bigger is not necessarily better, and class is not cost-dependent. I’ve always thought it is a greater testament to style to put together a mix of high & low to beautiful effect than to spend a fortune on a decorator.
Although I hear you it’s all relative. To her and perhaps to you, she is offering affordable options. To me, Wayfair is out of my league. To get a headboard reupholstered is impossible. I don’t even have one. I made my closet into a bedroom for myself because my grandchildren and their mom and dad had to move in with me due to the economy. I have a mattress on the floor. We have gotten really good at yard sale shopping. Repainting furniture from the VFW or the marketplace on FB. All our clothes are from thrift stores, yard sales, and Walmart. The kids get hand-me-downs and from used children’s stores. They’ve never had anything new. I’m. Not playing victim at all. We love our life and being so close - the 7 of us in a 1600 sq ft home. It brings us closer. Especially when our power goes out.

It must feel awesome to have accomplished your move in such a short amount of time. Your face reflects a peace and contentment that your last move did not show. She had to move quick after the abrupt break-up w/ her ex-husband. My guess is, she took the other place out of quick necessity, & convenience. Not that there was anything wrong with the other place, but this move was able to be more thought-out & deliberate. And, in general, Dominique has had time to process things. That's a LOT of packing and moving for one person in a short amount of time... which can be very stressful! As we all know, if anyone can do it, and remain sane, it's Dominique!
@@CherylBerryl I don't think she had much packing she bought everything new so things were being delivered after she moved in which made it so much easier, she said she hates boxed so figure it out
You are an inspiration to many of us that have similar experiences. I’m divorced and I can’t be happier with my life. I bought my own house and I sleep so good. I'm happily divorced too. I'm currently shopping around for new house. I love to decorate. I love to garden. So I want a house that fit my taste. My happiness is first priority. No more catering to others. Life is short.

It is just SO special that you’re always willing to share a tour of your home and personal spaces. You’re such a beautiful light of positivity, and I look forward to your videos each and every week. I know what you mean about the joy of being able to look out your windows and see a beautiful view… From my bedroom, I have a view of our patio, and we are really high up, almost like living in a treehouse, and so every morning, weather permitting, I can go right out this patio door and sit in my lounge chair with a cup of coffee. Or a glass of wine later in the evening! Whoo hoo! 🙌🏻🤪 Quick question: when you’re high up in an apartment with a city view, is there the option to have those curtains that come down and cover the windows at the touch of a button? I wasn’t sure what kind of privacy you would have with all those floor to ceiling windows. I’m such a chicken that THE second it gets dark outside, I’m closing all the curtains and blinds. 😂 Stay bold and beautiful! ❤

Hey Dominique - I was a homeowner for many years and recently moved into a studio rental in Burlington, Ontario. I absolutely love the lifestyle; the freedom and the change that comes with being able to live your life and not be overwhelmed all the time with the responsibility of a home. I can relate to your excitement about your new apartment Dominique. I just moved into my new apartment and I’m getting all my things I’ve had in storage out again and finally building myself my own home and space. For the past several years I have been living with and helping my daughters with their first babies. I’ve been a single mom more times than not. So now I’m getting to live my life for me and I’m doing a lot of self care and changing some things in my life that needed change. I’m also trying to be more spiritual about God. I’m 57 years old and just starting a brand new chapter in my life and I’m super excited about it. I’m also going to be volunteering to the local Women’s crisis center. The reason I have chosen to do this is because I have been in a violent domestic situation myself and I feel like I could give another woman some good advice and I want to help them. I have been following you for several years now and love all the advice you give from skin and makeup to living life itself. So thank you so much for all that you do.❤❤❤

I love the desk in the living area. I find that family members will bring devices into the kitchen instead of being isolated in the office. This will be a new trend I think. Creating space in the great room specifically as a workspace. Everyone feels more connected. Looks lovely as well the way you styled it all.
I love it so much Dominique. I'm from Pearland but moved to Kentucky two years ago. I absolutely loved your balcony and seeing that Houston skyline that I miss so much. Also love how glam and Parisian your personal style is.
It must have been so difficult to go from a large home to a condo but you are so positive about it. Life sure hands us some tough situations to deal with. I absolutely love this & can totally relate to needing to be moved in in a New York minute. My friends think I’m crazy because I cannot stand having boxes of any kind in my space. I will move, unbox & decorate all in one day. I am single, so it’s easier when it’s just me, but I was the same way when my boys were young. Although I hear you it’s all relative. To her and perhaps to you, she is offering affordable options. To me, Wayfair is out of my league. To get a headboard reupholstered is impossible. I don’t even have one. I made my closet into a bedroom for myself because my grandchildren and their mom and dad had to move in with me due to the economy. I have a mattress on the floor. We have gotten really good at yard sale shopping. Repainting furniture from the VFW or the marketplace on FB. All our clothes are from thrift stores, yard sales, and Walmart. The kids get hand-me-downs and from used children’s stores. They’ve never had anything new. I’m. Not playing victim at all. We love our life and being so close - the 7 of us in a 1600 sq ft home. It brings us closer. Especially when our power goes out.

She had to move quick after the abrupt break-up w/ her ex-husband. My guess is, she took the other place out of quick necessity, & convenience. Not that there was anything wrong with the other place, but this move was able to be more thought-out & deliberate. And, in general, Dominique has had time to process things.
That's a LOT of packing and moving for one person in a short amount of time... which can be very stressful! As we all know, if anyone can do it, and remain sane, it's Dominique!

It is just SO special that you’re always willing to share a tour of your home and personal spaces. You’re such a beautiful light of positivity, and I look forward to your videos each and every week. I know what you mean about the joy of being able to look out your windows and see a beautiful view… From my bedroom, I have a view of our patio, and we are really high up, almost like living in a treehouse, and so every morning, weather permitting, I can go right out this patio door and sit in my lounge chair with a cup of coffee. Or a glass of wine later in the evening! Whoo hoo! 🙌🏻🤪 Quick question: when you’re high up in an apartment with a city view, is there the option to have those curtains that come down and cover the windows at the touch of a button? I wasn’t sure what kind of privacy you would have with all those floor to ceiling windows. I’m such a chicken that THE second it gets dark outside, I’m closing all the curtains and blinds. 😂 Stay bold and beautiful! ❤

I absolutely love the lifestyle; the freedom and the change that comes with being able to live your life and not be overwhelmed all the time with the responsibility of a home. I can relate to your excitement about your new apartment Dominique. I just moved into my new apartment and I’m getting all my things I’ve had in storage out again and finally building myself my own home and space. For the past several years I have been living with and helping my daughters with their first babies. I’ve been a single mom more times than not. So now I’m getting to live my life for me and I’m doing a lot of self care and changing some things in my life that needed change. I’m also trying to be more spiritual about God. I’m 57 years old and just starting a brand new chapter in my life and I’m super excited about it. I’m also going to be volunteering to the local Women’s crisis center. The reason I have chosen to do this is because I have been in a violent domestic situation myself and I feel like I could give another woman some good advice and I want to help them. I have been following you for several years now and love all the advice you give from skin and makeup to living life itself. So thank you so much for all that you do.❤❤❤

I love the desk in the living area. I find that family members will bring devices into the kitchen instead of being isolated in the office. This will be a new trend I think. Creating space in the great room specifically as a workspace. Everyone feels more connected. Looks lovely as well the way you styled it all.

It is a gorgeous apartment and the decor is gentle and soft. Even though l am a person who enjoys chaos and color, I love it. It is elegant and so well thought out. My favorite part is the reading corner.
I absolutely love this & can totally relate to needing to be moved in in a New York minute. My friends think I’m crazy because I cannot stand having boxes of any kind in my space. I will move, unbox & decorate all in one day. I am single, so it’s easier when it’s just me, but I was the same way when my boys were young.
