I like many thousands if not millions had missed Susan since she left the band so early I heard them before but I was warmly surprised to hear them in Israel in '91 (during a week break from the frontlines in the Persian Gulf I war) and I bought their album. You can't imagine how soothing was their music and your wife's unique voice to someone missing Home, Boston and School I was cut off to go on active duty.... I think I worn that record. I'm very sadden by these news and can't imagine how much deeply you must be missing her now. I'm sure you are not alone, we are many that will stand with you in missing her and her memory and Spirit echoes left through her Art will stand Time, all of us and many more never known her now will honor her so like Emma did so lovely here. My most sincere condolence. This is the song I think of her during her period in the MF's May she be forever dancing/singing in your eyes th-cam.com/video/yZtbafmyq24/w-d-xo.html
And sadly too, I'm afraid that sweet Emma here may be with your wife now.... and may both be singing together in Heaven's choirs with their gifts forever blessed as they were.
Wow, stumbled unto this by accident while looking to get the album on vinyl -- this is a truly marvelous cover, I thought I was back in Olympia Washington in 1982. Really good stuff. Thank you for this.
Outstanding!!! I was listening to Superchunk's version (which I LOVE and knew before I heard the MF's orginal) and stumbled across this...so glad I did! Thank you!!!
Thank you. I thought the song was impossible to cover (for a number of reasons), and still when i first heard this, i thought it hadn't worked. But after a couple of replays, i want to thank you because the arrangement is perfect in the idea. Now, apart from the original, i can't think of a "100000 fireflies" not like this one.
I loved your "other you voices", more YOU =more Power I like how you make that OC work the way you want it, and it's quite a little complex Merritt tune made to seem simple, but it isn't. Which usually goes to be with genius craftsmanship as yours too And I adore your hair in this too
Hello, I'm new to your channel and I thinks your covers are great. I'm also getting an Omnichord and I want to know witch one do you recommend the best because there is tons and I don't know witch is the real deal.
LindieLee I think the OM-84. The later ones are fun but I don't like that you have to hold the chord buttons down to play in manual mode, and the 84 does what it does brilliantly.
hey girl : nice one it really is. but come on: don't talk that darn modest, thats not cool. ..suggesting it took you few moments to do the job...not even time to walk over to shut the window... good work anyway !
playlistener1 it says right there in the description that it was too hot to shut the window? It was the hottest week of the year and 45 celsius outside (I live in the UK - nobody has air-con). I like playing the omnichord, but I'm not going to suffer that for a video with audio that's just pulled off a webcam anyway. I don't see where I've been overly modest - if I talked myself up, I'd get criticised for thinking too highly of myself, because this is the internet. I think you might be projecting. Cheers though!
My wife was/is Susan Anway who just died as you may know. thank you for this, very nice. She liked your cover. ;-)
A very high compliment! My condolences Jack.

What a beautiful sentiment. Her voice was and remains such a part of my life, year after year.
I'm so sorry to hear that. This song and her singing of it is one of my favourite songs of all time. She was an amazing musician.
