TOYOTA Avalon (2015-2018) Navigation Map Update - Step by Step

This video describes how to perform a map update for a Toyota Avalon (mine is a 2016 Touring). It should work for 2015 to 2018 models.

This is an excellent TH-cam video. Thank you so much. My SD card cost $26 on Amazon, so you saved me significant money. So far, the map and functions work well on our 2016 Toyota Avalon. The only additional comments I will make is that opening our little door was easier than yours (knowing which side opens from your video). No tool was necessary. My fingernails worked fine. Also, those who do this should push the SD card in a bit to release it. Be a bit careful as there is a spring in the release mechanism which can propel the finger-nail-sized card several feet. Cars have lots of nooks and crannies for stuff like this to hide. One more thing. When I first installed it, upon the first few starts, the screen did not advance. Later when I went back it worked fine.
