Looks like a decent 2-pack, in terms of characters, I just wish it wasn't a 2-pack. I've already got Bludgeon, and would've liked the Ruckus figure on it's own because it looks pretty sick tbf
If you haven't read the IDW comics, you would know that, during the climactic battle against Unicron in the finale of IDW's original run of _Transformers_ comics, Bludgeon secretly betrayed Starscream and Shockwave by pledging himself to the Chaos Bringer, with Shockwave not knowing about the betrayal until Issue 5.
I've got the legacy version of Bludgeon and it's one of the sleekest robot designs I've seen in a long time, I'm sorely tempted by this new one as well.
This pack and the Deluxe Insecticons are really quite something to behold. Add the GoBots three pack and there have truly been some really good looking multi-releases this year.
I was having real trouble with transforming Ruckus. Those arms are a pain to get into the leg slots but this video really helped. There's such a knack to it! Great set overall.

This is how repaints/retools are suppose to be. Very high end. I can see a repaint of this Bludgeon as RiD15 Blastwave the bounty hunter, with a repaint of Strongarm as Nightra, his quarry.
Fantastic revidw PrimeVsPrime!! I got this set for Ruckus, but that head sculpt and paint job makes Bludgeon look really impressive too. lol Keep on being amazing.
This two pack is packing some serious punch! Love it! Great review. I’m happy we have the two versions; G1 and IDW. That atrocity of Prime Breakdown they packed with Wingsweeper was sold!

Neat how he wield the smaller canons as batons, and the new head/chest design look great. Ruckus may have the most basic of transformation in a modern line, but still looking amazing in both modes. Great seeing the pinned pvc tires return.

Got this pack in the mail recently, and I’ve gotta say the only things about Ruckus I’m unhappy with are the entire thing being pinned instead of anything being screwed together, and the fact the torso is tan instead of being more yellow like he’s supposed to. Otherwise, he’s a fantastic update to the original.
As much as I love the Tarn mold, I sincerely think that Hasbro needs to put more effort into retooling Bludgeon figures and making him feel like his own unique figure. A Decepticon of his stature deserves as much. Fortunately this new version has a nicer chest plate to make him feel more unique Edit: I hope someone makes an upgrade kit that gives him his banner he had on his back

I'm just waiting for mine to come in next month, it is sad that Ruckus and Crankcase got extensive remolding but Windsweeper only got a head remold, surely they could have made him look more like his B-1B Lancer versus being another F-16XL Falcon.
i have a question i will try to get all the dinobots and i need some decepticon team for them to fight and i thought bludgeon and his decepticon attack team would be perfect to go against the dinobots watcha think (sorry to ask i just wanna know)
The worst thing about the Tarn/Bludgeon mould is not that it doesn't have wheels to roll on, but that they put in fake wheels where they would have been.
Kinda wished they had used this Bludgeon with the original head and deco in the mainline. I passed on the original cause it looked too much like Tarn. I still have the ROTF NEST version as my default Bludgeon in my display. 😊

Ruckus looks great. I’m impressed how much larger he is than Beachcomber. I have fond memories of the summer of 1988 when I picked up my original Ruckus. Bludgeon I would have preferred in a more muted color scheme. He’s a few shades too bright here compared to how he was in the comics. I don’t have any version of the Tarn mold but I would prefer Tarn or the other Bludgeon over this one. I may get this set eventually though.
Question, you gonna do a vid on the PulseCon (2024) reveals or you gonna not due to them mostly being repaints/repacks? Also yeah, this looks like a solid set. The IDW Bludegon does look cool but still is a little inaccurate, Ruckus looks good and love how the Beachcomber mould was used.

Personally, I like Ruckus’ look. But everyone has their own taste. I have the G1 Ruckus, and he may be one of my more favorite Decepticons.
