I have the Columbia titanium 700 fill jacket it's $250. This one is good but it's missing heat sealed and outdry material. Columbia was founded in Oregon and this company is the best especially over here where we get rain and snow every year. Also the jacket I mentioned has the Omni heat material in the hood and inside pockets, both features that are great addition to have

I actually tried on one of the Ridge jackets when I was up in Blue Mountain but they didn't have my size. I managed to grab a Slope Edge II today. Very similar style and same Omni Heat design. I don't like to overheat in a mall or anything like that, but I do go to a lot of concerts and events so it's nice to have a warm jacket to get there and then I can throw my jacket into coat check. I'm a big dude about 330 lb 5'11. So I went with the big style. And yes always order from Columbia directly. You get what you pay for

Just curious, nonetheless, I have Columbia's OMNI-HEAT sport's jacket, which is really sleek, stylish, and lightweight....💯 🔥 If used as a hoodie for a light or moderate trail type of excursion, yeah, these jackets and coats will start to cook ya right outta em'! The body heat reflective TECH is the TRUTH! Absolutely worth the 160$ not to mention, the material and coat itself will last for years! Great product!

I've had this coat for about a year now, I love it, but the gold lining leaves tiny shimmering dust on the clothes that you wear under it. Not sure if the gold dust is safe or heathy on skin and/or in the air??? Otherwise, solid coat...

I would be interested to hear if anyone else had this too. I have the silver Omni Heat in two jackets that are four years old (one that I wear nearly every day that I'm out during the winter, multiple days a week), and the lining looks great all over. Interested in the gold version just cause I honestly enjoy the colour, not because I need to be warmer than what I already get with the silver version. I had the silver lining in a rainshell too (before the two down jackets) but didn't wear it as often. With the waterproof down, I've never had a jacket make me feel more confident that I'll be comfortable in the cold before (a wet cold here). I get too hot sometimes if it's not cold enough, but I enjoy the feeling of being able to just wear a t-shirt under the jacket if I can go down to that layer. I wear it in the fall too. And honestly, for a waterproof down jacket, the price I got from the Columbia website directly was awesome - look for sales on there too. Plus they have a great range of sizes and most similar companies don't.

Her doctor was concerned apparently, that it was sticking to her skin. Columbia replied and said it made with harmless materials. It suck’s that it faded off though, this person posted a pic and you could see it was coming off

It dissipates heat at the same rate as other body parts and the percentage is just a function of the surface area of your head compared to the rest of your body. So unless you've got an enormous noggin', this is untrue.
