I live in Canada and we her temperatures of -40 with windchill. These Omni Heat jackets really help to keep you warm. I buy them for the whole family and my kids are always comfortable when they have recess are playing outside all day.
Please tell your review I moved to Canada I bought hello Henson winter long jacket But that’s heavy but warm Do you think this jacket is really warm when it’s windy and extreme cold in Canada
You need layers, long under wear, padded pants, base layer top, long sleeve layer, zip up and then your jacket, don't forget the beanies, gloves, neck warmers. Frostbite in -40C only takes 5mins on bare skin. Boots as well!
I own several brands from cheap to expensive jackets and Columbia is always backing me up. I own black diamond, North face, Rab, Marmot, mammut, Roots, Southern tide, mountain Hardwear, OR, Patagonia, Dakota, Carhartt, ripzone, under Armour and a few more, and Columbia is like the way to go for the buck.
Congrats on discovering Columbia. I'm from the state where it was founded and these jackets are a must if you live here in Oregon where you see rain, cold and snow every year. I have the Columbia titanium water resistant, waterproof, Omni heat infinity, heat sealed 700 fill jacket it's $250 and worth every dollar. In my opinion it's the best jacket they sell
Columbia is a little less quality when compared to TNF, but the price makes it so much worth it 70-90 EUR a discounted jacket for Columbia while it is 150-200 EUR for TheNorthFace Columbia is the most worth it brand for the winter for sure
I bought the Columbia Delta Ridge last winter, and have lived in Oregon my whole life. It's fantastic! The Omni Heat tech is incredible. Have been systematically replacing all of my coats/jackets with Columbia, minus one exception. I just ordered Merrells mixup Sherpa jacket for snow/very cold temps, to layer under the Delta Ridge. I'm so very happy with this coat!
I have four variants of this jacket (Red Quartz, Laser Lemon, Warm Copper and Warp Red), simply because it's truly an amazing jacket. It's warm (with or without extra layers), it looks great, and overall it has been the most comfortable winter jacket I've had in awhile! Glad to see others finding the benefits as well.
I found a brand new Omni Heat vest at a local thrift store not long ago. This thing rocks. I have big puffer jackets and vests and they don't keep me as warm as this light little vest.
I have a couple of pieces with Omni Heat and the problem I've found is than unless it's really cold outside I get much too hot and I start to sweat. I've never had a complain about the company or its gear though.
Ive had my Omni heat jacket for years now and it's perfect for late fall and winter here in Alaska. Pairing it with a hoodie means I'll stay warm all day, might even need to unzip the jacket to cool down
I placed an order for the Women's Opal Hill Mid Down and it's my first time trying out Columbia's jackets. Only thing I have to say initially looking at it before ordering it is I wish there were more pockets inside the jacket. Otherwise, I'm excited to give their jackets a try!
YES I feel the same way I can't lie! I love a inside pocket to drop keys/phone/wallet into when you know you'll need those warm side pockets for your hands! Thanks for checking it out :)
Great jacket. I throw it in the back seat. Drive with a flannel shirt or sweater on. Good enough for popping inside a convenient store. Throw on the Colombia when going in a store shopping. Or pumping gas. Or anytime I'm outside for a longer time. Lightweight and warm!
Just picked up this jacket in black here in Saskatoon, Canada (we get some of the coldest temps on the planet). I gotta say, this jacket is truly impressive. It's not super thick like alot of puffer jackets but still does a remarkably good job of keeping the heat in. It's about 2/3 the price of the north face equivalent and half the price of patagonia but this jacket is every bit as good as those. Maybe even better with the reflective Omni heat technology. It's the perfect mix of stylish looks and practical warmth.
I bought this jacket for $200 and I really like it. In right main pocket I found a small green sticker. Does somebody know what is that green stiker for?
I do not know what to say about that gold insert for men. I would have a preffered a neutral color but the rest I like the cut , it really looks awesome rather slim.
Is it good for Scotland winter? I think it goes upto -10 at worst in cities like Edinburgh. This plus a merino base layer + some tshirts/thin wool sweaters.
PabitraPadhy Edinburgh doesn't go down to - 10 🤦🏾♂️ Glasgow and Edinburgh does get cold and wet regular during our Scottish winter's 🥶🌧️ But very rarely - 5 or worse!
I'm in Saskatoon. This jacket is waaarm boy. I wore this with just a t-shirt underneath today and I was sweating. If I put a hoodie underneath I think I would be warm enough on even the coldest days.
Does the omni tech coating every flake off? I’ve seen some reviews on Reddit where people say the gold coating flakes off on their clothes like glitter.
The company could have given a pocket on the inner side of the jacket(as you have said) . Overall looked pretty cool to me, I will check it out when it's under some discount.
