    Hello, thank you for your very educational videos. what urushi do you apply on the silver powder: ki, black, ..?. Thanks again for your work. I follow you from France.

      Hello. Thank you for watching the video.
      That's right. I apply "black lacquer (呂色漆:Roiro-Urushi)" over the silver powder. This is because I feel that the silver looks more beautiful if black is applied over the silver powder. It is okay to apply "brown lacquer" such as "(生漆:Ki-Urushi)" or "(木地呂漆:Kijiro-Urushi)", but the finish of the silver powder will turn a little brown.

    Hello, gold dust is unfortunately very expensive now and will be for some time. Silver turns black over time. Do you have a video or tips on using other metal powders. How about tin, bronze or copper. What are your techniques for working them? And thank you again from France for the fabulous educational work.

      I use tin and copper but they both oxidise too, also copper is not recommended to go in contact with food
