Just appreciate what you have and dont hate that much. At least you do have hair and if everyone was to have straight hair, there wouldn't be that much diversity or style in haircuts.

My hair flips towards my face on one side. This helped so much. I brushed all of my hair over to one side, and styled it with my flat iron as usual. So, when I brushed the hair back to the other side as normal, it did not flip toward my face. Thanks!(Wetting my hair was not an option since I'm at work)

I had longer side bangs I guess flip out due to a really bad bob haircut I tried. It was near my chin and bent out at almost a 90 degree angle. I hope trying these methods work!

my hair goes down to my lower eyes. what I do is that I just move it to one side, straighten it down a little, and then it’s done! so so so glad I can fix it now!

I have that exact curl on one side of my hair, if it was on both sides I wouldn't really care, but it just looks really uneven, so I'll get a haircut to see if that fixes it
Iv had longish hair for about 14 years. In the past it was always fine, it naturally fell exactly how I wanted. And if I ever did straighten it, it would stay that way until I washed it. For some reason, after a haircut in January 2020, my hair has always flipped out on one side. Iv had my hair cut 6 or 7 times since, and its always the same. If I can get it to dry the way I want, it'll be flipped out again in the morning, and if I straighten it, it'll normally be flipped out again within an hour. Even more so if there's and wind, rain, or humidity. My hair just seemed to randomly change, and I have no idea how to fix it.

@@animeminians7451 I fixed it, I purchased a product on Amazon called Brazilian Keratin soothing therapy hair treatment oil. It's only £6. I added two drops into my conditioner every day when I washed my hair, and then wore a hat while it was drying to keep it in place. It slowly started sticking out less and less, and now it's fully trained back to the way it was. It took probably 6 months to fully work.
@@Jake-nl3er wait wearing a hat is actually genius why haven't I thought of that? But I finally figured it out after months. I was searching for a specific shampoo I used to use and I finally found it which made my hair good again. It's head and shoulders. My hair still goes back up a little bit I think slowly by slowly it's going back to normal. I've made a bit of progress already. But I'll try that hat method you mentioned

I feel like the stupidest person ever!! My bang hair kept flipping out on one side at the end and I just rewet it and blow dried it again. Came out perfect. Thank you so so much for this easy trick. It’s my fault cutting my own hair all the time now since COVID, I think I’m a stylist now 😂

My hair doesn't flip out nicely like that. I could wash and moisturize my hair and it curves/ flips out all weirdly :/ it doesn't just lay nicely with a good shape

I needed to find a video like it because I had to ask the stylist who last cut my hair this month why my last haircut by another place made my bangs way more flippy I'm unsure I used the word flyaway correctly. The haircut in January is when I think any of my flipping on both sides of bangs, and oh at that time I still had my hair part on left and the person cut my bangs way shorter than I wanted; most of the past few years I'd get long layers, hair still with most of its natural part on my left side, and I've tried to have side bangs for numerous years. I need to kind of know why some of the ends of my bangs even after my newer haircut do more flips. it seems often it does it more if I wear any glasses after a shower though I'm unsure it's forcing it. I need to try some of the techniques though I have a round brush (I don't have a vent brush). I want to know what to put in hair especially those bangs ends if they sometimes flip in more than one direction. Tonight, after very little time wrapped in a towel, like maybe under 5 minutes, and a lot of air drying because I did other things, and I put nothing in hair for styling yet (I only put regrowth spray), they did crazy stuff. I work odd hours overnight, and I do a bunch of physical work, so I sweat a bit, and Vegas heat going up past 80's so can be hotter in warehouse. I end shift before noon. I might not always get to be home due to a few errands, so best to shower before bedtime to feel better, though unsure when (and sometimes how) to style the bangs (I was a bit too emotional during the most recent haircut because I didn't use semi-permanent hair dye correctly earlier that week, and there were unexpected visitors in town. I just wanted to look way better because not always knowing how to style the hair, well bangs, especially after hair got thinner again and needed regrowth spray tried, and my brain was so preoccupied with wondering how the style will look because for months I didn't want to be in photos or on live video of other people. Anyways, sorry, I'll try to see if I can use a round brush that way though my bangs are about 1-2" shorter than your model's. I don't know if mousse is a bad idea if my bangs can get a bit puffy with the air dry. I don't have the same heat protectant spray my last stylist used, only because I still had another one a tried from Ulta which also is for anti-frizz, and maybe frizz is an issue for me too.

sorry about my long previous comment which I might edit a bit another time. I might not also keep a mini flat iron. My cut of the bangs are maybe not for much straightening if I used at least one photo off pinterest which was with a girl with straight hair, bangs to same side like me. I'm unsure how my hairdresser of that day made my bangs similar to the photo, not too curving and I forget if hairspray was part of it. It was a nerve wracking afternoon before that mini reunion and having to sleep before work. I liked the curls on sides and back of hair. I can't get my bangs to not be puffy, whether air dried, or well, sometimes I use a mousse, if even okay, also with the John Frieda heat protectant/anti-frizz spray I usually try out. I'll be looking out for good replies to either comment of mine.
it is harder to not see it being done on someone in real time withnneary exact same issue as mine, I guess but I tried to follow some of this late at night before my shift but after a few hours of sleep which wasn't enough, to be hinest. i only re-wet bangs with some water an the anti-frizz + heath protectant John Frieda spray I have on hand, but I think I can't smooth out all ends because a lot is bbut to go towards one way, as in swoop to cover right sise of forehead with my part still mostly on left but goes in back near middle. I will later see if any on this channel have a demo on a real person too
I'd like to see the proper cut to keep hair from pushing outward. Someone did this for me once, and I can't get anyone to reproduce it. He called it a reverse notch-cut / layer. It caused the hair to push down / in instead of out.
What about for short hair that flips forward? Hair is cut A- symmetrical, above shoulders, & the back sides curve forward.

Well here’s my little story. It’s a long one , so be warned . Only a few weeks ago I had my hair just right at my rib cage . And it had became damaged from bleaching the ends . I knew I needed a trim or a little more so . Anyway my boyfriend asked me if he could cut it for me . He said how he was the best hair cutter in the big house when he was doing time ( and I know red flags should have been everywhere in my brain especially considering he was probably giving everyone buzz cuts )and I thought well ok it would save me money I really didn’t have to begin with and he was persistent and wanted to do it so badly so I said yes on one condition and I made it as clear as heaven air to him . DO NOT CUT ABOVE THE SHOULDERS. I constantly drilled that into his brain 30 mins before the chop. And he agreed of course . So I sat down on the stool put an old towel over me and he dampened my hair and started brushing . I admit I became a bit nervous but thought well what’s the worse he could do ? Give me a straight across blunt cut , but at least it will be BELOW my shoulders right ? I can even it out and shape it afterwards. Boy did I think wrong . The minute I heard the “ scchhhhk “ sound from the scissors I knew he done fcked my shtt up …. I grabbed the back of my head and looked behind me in shock and said “ what the hell did you do ?” I grabbed the mirror and ran to the other mirror in the living room hoping it wasn’t as bad as it sounded and maybe I could still save it and not have to cut anymore off and I would be able to blend it somehow . Nope. That ship had sailed past the seven seas by now . My hair was now just a little below my earlobe .I’ll be honest I started to tear up , but I thought , hell ain’t no point in crying , it’s gone . I just told him to continue. Might as well . He knew I was upset so he did it quickly . I asked him why after he was done . Why did he cut it that short and he said “ you told me to cut it above your shoulders ! “ and he knew darn well I didn’t and he kept saying I did . I just gave up arguing with him and shaped it out as best I could. Took me a while to get use to it but here I am !

The response he gave for not following your rule that you say you specified MANY times over many days is BS. Why would he proceed to cut at a length he wasn't sure if he had doubt of what you wanted like why didn't he just grab your hair and show you in the mirror asking if that's the correct length?

I brought my daughter to a hair stylist because I need to have her hair cut shorter (just past the shoulders, because her hair was on elbow level then). I was so disappointed because the “stylist” did a lousy job. My daughter’s hair is beautiful, straight and healthy (he said it himself). But after he cut it, the ends flip and fly away. Also, there are uneven cuts (long bunches if hair sticking out). The ends looked like a broom! He did the cutting so swiftly and improperly, he didn’t even check at the end if it looked good. It was a disaster! I asked him to fix it, but what he did was just to cut the whole thing straight like cutting cloth while my daughter was standing, blowdried it and that was it. He didn’t cut it layer by layer and it ended up just a tad bit better but still flips. We just decided to leave for fear that her hair will just get shorter and shorter and this “stylist” obviously didn’t know how to do the job. What he did to my daughter’s hair I could literally do by myself- and that was exactly why I opted for an expert’s help, to avoid a disaster. But Oh well... 😔

If your hair is long enough you can put it in a bun but leave an inch or so out of it. I dk if I do that with my hair to put it up it always does that not sure for everyone else

I had medium length hair and a mullet, then I got an undercut I believe in early August. Now my hair in the very front is long enough to go in my mouth, but the sides are just starting to go over my ears but don't cover them completely yet. The back is the shortest but the back top goes down over it. My ultimate goal is long hair, as in past my shoulders, like guys in medieval movies or like Brad Pitt had in Troy. I'm 37, but still look much younger, and I've always had a good thick head of hair. My question is, will it eventually get to the length I'm wanting if I just don't think about it and let it grow, even if it takes another 2 years? I know hair doesn't grow fast and I know how to be patient, I'm just asking if I did the right thing getting an undercut (cause I wasn't fond of the mullet)
Perhaps you have delayed the process a bit in getting an undercut considering getting it from the mullet.. Hopefully the undercut was not too high.. Be aware of it when you achieve your length.. Personally looks artificial with long hair... Good luck

@@yq7760 basically. Instead of drying it inwards to stop the curve, blow try it outwards to get the hair to rest outwards. Heat protecter too. Spray that.
