It's chiffon ribbon in Fuchsia color. This is the same material. ok.. I'm confused where youcut a small slit on the fold of the rectangle (why?) & do you keep the fabric doubled up? Because after you're done cutting the fuchsia material you pull out another piece and I get very confused I want to make this today could someone help me with these questions I would appreciate it so much :-)

Finally found a tutorial on how to make fabric roses. I am wondering the reason you cut the 12X12 fabric across is to have a bias and it's a bit more stretchy???? I am going to help make a brooch bouquet for my daughter's wedding . The roses will be fillers do you think this method would work if I wrapped around a wire ,creating a stem?
