CHEAP TIP: Look for curtains at your local thrift store, in materials suitable for your project. It's a great way to get a ton of fabric for very little money. :)
For these flowers, try satin, organza, netting, tulle, acetate and other "prom dress" type materials.

Thanks for such a great video ... these are sooo pretty! I made some last night and, if I must say so myself, they are 'beautiful!' I had a little trouble cutting thru fabric (dull scissors) so I unfolded the last fold and made two side-by-side upside-down "U" shapes. Also I made a few w/ pointy edges (then melted) they turned out good too. again, thank you
