The main question is... can you play as Skynet against LEGION?

Skynet is a different license that the company could not afford
@@BoydofZINJ that's literary the same franchise. It's like making a Red Alert game, but saying you could afford Allies fighting Imperial Japan, but not USSR.

In Terminator Dark Fate there's no skynet but Legion in this Terminator universe or another timeline.

So long as I get to play as the robot faction I am up for this game. Also, I find it cool and funny how the alarm near the end sounds like a cat meow.

They've got DLC planned on their roadmap to be able to play the Legion side of the campaign which will be super cool

This has some world in conflict vibes
It seems like it was 'the story' to lose the base and to have to self destruct it and leave the Major to die.
If that's the case then what was the point in doing the tactics and fighting? Was it impossible to successfully hold off the Legion wireheads so the story could progress?
Based on what I know, you’re supposed to link up with other human factions. Losing an important base with stocked resources like this would certainly galvanize such an effort.
Yeah but my point is that it's not good game design to have you do a mission to resist an AI assault on a base and act like you might be able to win when it's programmed into for you to lose so the story can take place. @@neofulcrum5013
Well dialog in the end there suggested a choice tho, beat them back and man the fob or retreat as story seems to flow to
I hope so because there is no way I'm going to spend an hour or so in an RTS fighting a battle that I know the script has already decided I can't win no matter what I do. @@vogel2077

I think he said that there isn’t bass building which severely disappointed me but the music/graphics seems promising! Still gonna buy it because all I do is play AOE lol.

Looks like warzone 2100 but those endless dialogs with agitated voices, in order to make the game more intense, actually destroying the atmosphere. imho.

We all do but they too expensive for license , legion is still powerful than skynet because they been upgraded and learning.
I hate that this is dark fate but... There are U.S. AIRCRAFT and tanks. If you do the 2029 timeline there will be no jets or advance artlirary.

No matter how good the game is, it's always going to be marred by the taints that are Dark Fate and Legion. They really should've just made a composite game with Skynet fighting the Resistance. smh

Huge mistake on making this in the complete failure that is the Legion timeline. I would've got the game if this was Skynet one.

Sky net licence was too expensive so they were forced to use legion. Legion is still a more powerful faction over skynet because they been upgraded and learning.

I despise what Legion did to the Terminator lore. Dead John, replaced by a woman, Skynet gone, replaced by Legion, the awesome looking terminators of old, replaced by far less awesome looking new terminators. The power of a mother replaced with "you are not just a womb", the T800 reduced to being a HOUSEWIFE! Jesus...
I am not even going into how inept that movie made Terminators look, I mean how many times did the heroes defeat whatever the name of that terminator? They just could not finish it and put it down but at each encounter they beat it down.
Also I don't care about how much more powerful Legion is, it also make far less sense since in the future, it makes no sense for humanity to fight even skynet and win, more so another more advanced form of it. I mean where are they getting food and resources? Look at Ukraine and how fast ammo went out.

I thought the game is dead
It seems like there will be alot of missions to do. Thats good. But what worries me is the 0 days left icon bar. It looks to me there will be a countdown to something. So you will need to rush some missions before you get to that point. This is what i disliked about aliens dark descent. With its 30 day countdown before cerberus bombs the planet. Same with xcom aswell. Shit like this ruins the gameplay for me since im older now and im not used to RTS games.

The gameplay is decent, but the bleeding heart story is painful. Somehow a you play a naïve ROTC-type that has no ability to make tough or reasonable decisions. I HATED CHURCH.
