I like how weevile is becoming weave nation and dodging every burst attack accept my main lucario. but I’m curious to know, can weevile dodge lucario’s burst in field phase if you time it right? I don’t know for sure if that’s possible but I still want to see if it will work or not. amazing practicing bro!👍🏻
At a distance Weavile can easily Agility to either side to avoid Lucario in field, but can't do it if you are right in his face. The only way he can close up is if he presses agility right as you do your burst attack (not on reaction)

Hi... I just bought the game to play with my friends (in local). Anything we should know before playing? Any broken characters so we know which ones not to pick? (I wanna main lucario and darkrai btw)
Honestly for just friends have fun with it. I recommend doing at least the first three tutorial lessons to learn the game. The only character that is somewhat broken is Scizor, but doing the broken stuff is very hard so I wouldn't even worry about it starting out. I also main Lucario so I'm all for it! Lucario is the best starting character for new players, but Darkrai takes some time and practice. Darkrai does some very cool moves and combos so it's worth it Hope you enjoy the game
This’ll help me out, I haven’t played pokken in a while but it’ll be good to know since I play suicune, meaning I know not to burst attack against a wevile unless they’re doing something like taunting or coming down from a icicle.
Thank you for the video. I main Weavile in this game and it's been a while since I've played because online Pokken is pretty dead, but this made me want to pick up the game again (And this is useful information!).
As a Blaziken main from the Wii U days, I kinda wish I knew about this... Chandelure was the bane of my existence back then, having a Weavile as a backup anti zoner would have done WONDERS...
So from what i can gather is that if the burst has a property that make it a punch/kick one can't dodge it but if it base on a projectiles and being a range one then you can dodge it
@@aidenreed680 Yup. Moves fall into strikes, throws, and projectiles. If it counts as a projectile Weavile can dodge it. If you have proper distance he can just slide to the side of physical moves.(If it doesn't have tracking properties.)
I would love to play this game once i get it, but not much ppl play it on 2024 xd Also, i would love to know where could i talk to cha! You seem like one pretty good for learning the Game :D
@@spiritlaw I have a bad track record with Decidueye players as some just mash buttons because he can just cancels moves into other moves with little room to punish or you having to guess. It's not all the time, but playing him and then going back to the some of the OG cast the amount of tools, gimmicks, and priority shows who the DLC character is.(mostly people just spamming buttons 😑)
Nope! He will still catch you even in Field Phase. The only way to dodge it is to use Agility before or EXACT same time he activates the Burst Attack and that's based on the Mewtwo player and getting lucky.

Having never seen much of Pokken, I burst out laughing when I realized they gave Pikachu the fucking Dragon Fist.
I think Pikachu's animations and move set have a few things lifted wholesale from Heihachi's.

Mewtwo's Burst Attack hitbox is a sphere. Maybe you can dodge it in Field Phase?
